    Borderlands 4 is an amazing entry in the series, Full of Gun’s, Exploration and Explosions. You can sink hours upon hours into this game, never feeling like you don’t have something to do.

    Borderlands 4 is easily the strongest entry in the franchise is years. It refocuses the core, fun gameplay, build creativity and exploration. The narrative is better anchored, and the polish in many systems shows growth. It’s not without its blemishes, where it does have some performance and optimization issues, however overall it is a very, very good game.

    The new characters are fun, the gunplay is as cool as ever, and the additional mechanics add an extra layer. The only fly in the ointment is that the sheer amount of fights do start to get repetitive, but with a crew, Borderlands 4 is about as good as it gets.

Though the looter-shooter formula feels less groundbreaking and the narrative lacks the punch of earlier entries, the flawless gameplay and perfect gunplay makes this new episode worthwhile. Overall, it’s a stylish, confident return and a strong contender for action/shooter of the year.

    Borderlands 4 is a triumphant return in terms of gameplay and artistry, but it is somewhat marred by a few technical issues. The story is an improvement on the third installment, the gameplay reaches heights never before seen in the franchise, and the visuals are impressive. Gearbox has the shooter-looter experience down pat, and here it shines brighter than ever.

    Borderlands 4 builds on the foundations that made the franchise so successful in the first place, while seeking to broaden its horizons. With a darker narrative approach and more ambitious staging, it attempts to fuse its fidelity to the saga's essence with modernised gameplay. The pace of the quests, exploration and activities on this new planet, as well as the character development, add real richness, but some mechanics remain rigid and the repetitiveness inherent to the genre is still present. Oscillating between artistic ambition and a few technical limitations, the title stands out as a solid instalment, without revolutionising the formula.
