    Amerzone - The Explorer's Legacy surprises, both with how good the actual adventure is and just how much effort has clearly gone into this remake.

    It could have benefited from more sonic variety and a bit more fluidity in certain animations, but none of that detracts from what Amerzone – The Explorer's Legacy offers: an honest, restrained, and very well-crafted adventure. A tranquil gem to disconnect from the noise, enjoy the silence, and let yourself be carried away by the ruins of a forgotten world.

    Amerzone - The Explorer's Legacy is a wonderful remake that will impress modern audiences. The beautiful scenery is captivating and the puzzles will test you. Furthermore, the plot is outlandish but great to experience.

    Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy is a fantastic adventure game and a great remake. What Microids has created here is a great tribute to Sokal's original work, producing something far more lavish and accomplished that manages to carry the charm and emotion that the storytelling deserves. A real good 'un!

    Following in the footsteps of Myst and Riven, this remake of The Amerzone: The Explorer's Testament proves that the genre can adapt to today's expectations. With its sumptuous graphics and Jules Verne-esque universe, the story imagined by Benoît Sokal is enhanced by an approach that manages to modernize the formula without betraying the original. A successful immersion thanks to the quality French voices, the music of Inon Zur and his son, and a fluid and interesting progression. A masterstroke for the Parisian studio of Microids.
