I applaud 2K for taking this game in the Simulation gameplay direction and away from the 'arcadey' style gameplay. Real wrestling is not so fast-paced as it was in THQ's video game series, WWE 2K16 is the closest to the real thing as you're gonna get. Expand

After WWE2K15 I gave up on this franchise, I traded hate emails with 2K staff and swore I'd never buy this series again. After learning that most of the creation modes were put back in the game, the chain wrestling has been scaled back and redone, I decided to buy this game. The graphics have improved tremendously, the commentary is a bit better (not perfect but less repetitive) and the roster is huge. The game boasts over 100 playable characters and you can create up to 1oo more (yes even diva creation is back). All is not perfect despite the vast improvements. the game features absurdly long loading times, wrestlers look great walking to the ring but once the match starts--some look almost like a different person, and because the game is more simulation than arcade--the controls may feel sluggish to some, but all this aside this is the best WWE game Since the PS2 era (IMO). If you even remotely enjoy wrestling games than pick this up. Expand

2K has taken wrestling games in the right direction with WWE 2K16. The game feels like a wrestling simulation rather than the arcade style game play that the SVR series had. This game is awesome. yeah the submission system kinda sucks but everything else is amazing. Don't listen to the dummys giving it scores below 4. They are just ps4 fanboys purposely giving it low scores just because it's the xbox version.

Wwe2k16 is a lot of fun and a huge improvement over WWE 2K15. You now have plenty of match options like Tornado tag, Steel cage Tag, fatal 4 way Hell in a cell and so forth. You also get 100 caw slots and 60 create an arena slots. The graphics are about the same as last years which means they are pretty good.

I do not play this game. I enjoy booking and watching Ai vs Ai. The play is pretty good. I turn the reversal sliders down so there isnt lots of reversing but lots of heat reversals just like in the real wrestling. Blood looks good. The selling is good and matches can get intense. The enterances are great. No longer do you have load screens in between and before the start of the match. I dont play career or showcase so i have no opinion on those. I play universe. I have an all caw universe. I set my own rivaries. On ai vs ai you now get the choice on how a story branches. For example the scene where one puts hand out to shake you saw either shake or slap hand away. Now you can choose from shake, slap hand away or attack. Pretty good stuff. You must tweak the attribs to get the match you are looking for but once you do with some experimenting you can make a very good sim out of it.

Yes there are bugs and glitches but I haven't seen many so its pretty stable but even when it did glitch it revovered and kept going. 82 hours in and only one freeze. If you like wrestling you will enjoy this game.

its a fun game but very hard to grasp... I wish they would make it easier to get out of pin falls. Another I wish they would just add all the legends! its 2016 and not 1995 anymore so I dont think it would be hard to add the stars of the 80's, 90's and 2000's because theres alot of heros still missing.

Let alone, this game plays amazing, and with the added scenarios in MyCareer, it makes the game feel way more immersive than last year's title. The authority opinions and stipulations make you feel like you're fighting for a cause, even if they can be quite literally impossible at some points, making you do things that you don't have the skill for, and the rivalry system is the best it ever has been. You start off in NXT and go straight for the NXT title, move up until you retire into the Hall of Fame. The Austin 2k showcase is a great addition, it really puts a spotlight on Austin's amazing career, even his lesser known matches like from ECW. The Universe has been improved greatly. The rivalry system in universe is way way better than in previous titles, and the universe screen is much easier to navigate, plus you don't have to face the same people over and over again. If you had an area to improve, make the MyCareer mode feel more alive. Make things seem like they're going on around you. Make it feel like real, to say the least. Plus, add more questions for Rene Young and more answers for your character. Plus, get more voice actors for the character, and make the voices a chooseable option. Nolan North or something, Troy Baker. Expand

Although a bit of the same thing from the last few games, this games story-line mode definitely improves from the previous ones. With more options and different things to do, WWE 2K16 offers a whole new world to games like this one.

Iffy submission system aside, this is the smoothest and most authentic WWE game to date. [Christmas 2015, p.74]

WWE 2K16 brings some improvements, but not enough to be the game fans deserve. Smashing the opponent from the ladders through the table is great, until you turn to the audience and realize they look like they came from a PS2 game. But if you close your eyes, the game at least sounds awesome.
