    "Watch Dogs 2" may certainly improve upon the visual and mechanical shortcomings of its 2014 predecessor, but what it gains in these aspects, it loses in narrative ones. The story, while timely and engaging for most of the game, never truly reaches the gravity and severity that the previous entry attained. And though the main characters are mostly sympathetic in their approach to bettering"Watch Dogs 2" may certainly improve upon the visual and mechanical shortcomings of its 2014 predecessor, but what it gains in these aspects, it loses in narrative ones. The story, while timely and engaging for most of the game, never truly reaches the gravity and severity that the previous entry attained. And though the main characters are mostly sympathetic in their approach to bettering the world on a technological plane, it's hard not to use the word "sanctimonious" to describe them, especially in light of all the lawbreaking, thieving, and massacring that can occur alongside DedSec's main exploits. It's definitely an improvement overall. Just not a tremendous one.… Expand

    An improvement over the original, but that isn't saying much. It has been given a hipster coat of paint and has the most dumbed down laughable vehicle physics I have seen in a game in a long time. There's some fun to be had here, but don't expect GTA levels of polish. Worth picking up cheap or at a discount.

    The story and characters, as well as the setting and graphics, are vastly improved over the original, but the open world is boring, the gameplay is repetitive, and the stealth and strategy are counter-intuitive.

    Watchdogs 2 a good game. The scenario and characters are well fleshed out but did it have to be so much cliché? I don't have any gameplay fun here as all the missions feel monotonous and dull.

    Pros:
    Nice graphics, style, music, geek culture, city, story.
    Cons:
    Annoying monotonous open-world gameplay. Boring monotonous puzzles, I don't like more than 50% additional missions and completely ignore annoying online missions: I prefer singleplayer modes in all the games.

    Watch dogs 2 is a perfect step up from watch dogs 1 how ever i feel like this game can do more i think this game has more potential but hey this game is airight

The city is done identically to San Francisco, various gadgets have been inserted to help solve missions, however the game is still not nearly as good as GTA. The shooting is still pretty weird, the ride is really bad, but the story is solid as is the design of the art game. Everything is in hippie style.

    Despite the "hipster" feel that Watch Dogs 2 has, it's not off-putting. The setting of San Francisco makes it work. Compared to Watch Dogs Legion, this game was enjoyable. The story may be a bit weaker than Watch Dogs 1 but it is a fun game.

    Ужасная физика, новых механик кроме дронов в игре нету, сюжет достаточно посредственен. Игра банально не удивляет ни чем, она взяла все плюсы и минусы первой части и сохранила их. Нет погружения в мир, как в первой части. Игра стала более зумерской и веселой, пестрой, хотя первая часть была на порядок лучше в своей атмосфере.Ужасная физика, новых механик кроме дронов в игре нету, сюжет достаточно посредственен. Игра банально не удивляет ни чем, она взяла все плюсы и минусы первой части и сохранила их. Нет погружения в мир, как в первой части. Игра стала более зумерской и веселой, пестрой, хотя первая часть была на порядок лучше в своей атмосфере.

    this is such a let down after the first game. a mid story with 0 cause, you genuinely forget what is going on halfway through the game. this game is a chore to play for the story, the focus being taken away from watchdogs 1 is still disappointing, and the gunplay is sooo stale. the charm and grit from watchdogs 1 is also gone completely. i’ve never been so disappointed in a sequel. it’sthis is such a let down after the first game. a mid story with 0 cause, you genuinely forget what is going on halfway through the game. this game is a chore to play for the story, the focus being taken away from watchdogs 1 is still disappointing, and the gunplay is sooo stale. the charm and grit from watchdogs 1 is also gone completely. i’ve never been so disappointed in a sequel. it’s lucky it’s got better hacks and progression or it would be getting a 1/10.… Expand

The moment you get onto the open world you will see the "Ubisoft formula", the usual mechanics and collectibles that every single one of their open-world games have. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind collectibles and exploration, but even though it is set in San Francisco which is quite populated, it still felt a bit empty.

    The    Watch Dogs 2 is a fun game, but it lacks in so many things. The moment you get onto the open world you will see the "Ubisoft formula", the usual mechanics and collectibles that every single one of their open-world games have. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind collectibles and exploration, but even though it is set in San Francisco which is quite populated, it still felt a bit empty.

    The story is completely different from the original game, you're not going after enemies for revenge, but for rebellion. It is a game that mostly focuses on being "cool" to appease the newer generations. I had already finished it on another platform, but decided to pick it up again on the Xbox Series S for the achievements, which ended up getting messed up because the game bugged and I didn't get one of the last story achievements. Still, it was fun to experience it again, but this is not GTA, and the franchise is a long way from being at that level.    … Expand

    Watch Dogs 2 wastes its incredible, realistic world and believable characters by leaning on boring gunplay, basic cover-shooter mechanics and tonal-inconsistencies that upend every part of it. Watch Dogs 2 has the opposite problems to its predecessor then. Acts of aggression (in whatever form they may have taken) made sense for vigilante Aiden Pierce, his mission thrived on it; and oh god now Watch Dogs 2 is making us defend and justify the existence of the blandest protagonist in videogames. But that’s Watch Dogs 2, a game that will make you question everything you thought you knew about open world game design, because clearly something needs to change.

    If you love games that offer superb gameplay and can live with the fact that the story might not be as great as other open-world titles, then Watch Dogs 2 is a must-buy.
