    Une version comme son nom l'indique remastérisée du jeu original qui remonte à... 1988 ! ce n'est plus une remastérisation ni un reboot ici mais plutôt une exhumation ou une dé-momification d'un fossile... et malgré des améliorations notables, cela s'en ressent beaucoup trop, jusque dans les mécaniques du jeu lui-même, qui date de Mathusalem !

    Ainsi, les "combats" par exemple sont...     Ainsi, les "combats" par exemple sont... entièrement en mode "texte" ! l'interface générale n'est pas comestible non plus : il aurait fallu "tout" refaire pour rendre ce bordel un minimum jouable. Or, en l'état des choses (graphiquement moins laides que jadis, certes) ce Wasteland n'est qu'un pansement sur une jambe de bois. C'est si balourd et mal aisé, si peu pratique et si mal fait, si peu engageant qu'on se barre à toute blinde de ce truc !    … Expand

    I put about an hour of roaming around and trying to interact with the game in any meaningful way. I could not find it. It is based on a pretty old DOS game but it gives you NO HELP AND NO TIPS ON WHAT TO DO OR HOW TO PLAY!

    I read the in-game kind of intro and guide and was like what?! Everyone I tried to interact with did not understand anything I said to them. They only said "What?" to    I put about an hour of roaming around and trying to interact with the game in any meaningful way. I could not find it.     At least, when I used to play DOS games typing HELP would get me a legend or a direction! Anyway, there were 3 objectives to start, I found no way to progress in them. I got into some random battles and never connected with a hit even though my main PC had high strength and fighting and pugilism skills! Well, I guess that is not enough to do 1 point of damage on a rat!

    **** What a frustrating experience. I guess they wanted to capture the "charm" of the original but would it have killed the remaster to make ANY concessions so I could play it in 2020?    … Expand

    If you're a veteran of the genre, or an old-school player who loved the original, then you'll be very pleased with what's on offer here. Wasteland Remastered on Xbox One is quintessentially an Apple Two/Commodore game re-painted and re-released on a modern day console. It’s very difficult for me to recommend this to any newcomer though, unless they are specifically interested in it from a historical perspective.
