This review is for the Xbox one version, I heard the pc version is massively better.
And playing with a full party of four will make your experience a million times better.
When I first played the demo I was immediately hyped about this, it was like left for dead meets medieval times, but through my 90 hours of game time I found out how wrong I was for being hyped. Here's the problems

When I first played the demo I was immediately hyped about this, it was like left for dead meets medieval times, but through my 90 hours of game time I found out how wrong I was for being hyped. Here's the problems with the A. I. : it gets stuck, it won't help you, it has no common sense, it gets stuck in the back of the level, steals health from you when you need it the most and will NEVER heal you! and will steal tombs and then drop them so you can't find them. Falling hurts, even though you can't climb down the ladders, so you end up trying to get down the ladder and falling and taking damage or even getting down.
Coop parter can't hear in game dialog. Stretching glitch happens pretty much every time you play, I usually love when the A.I stretches across the screen, but when it happens every level multiple times it just gets annoying and no kidding hurts my eyes at times. 3 or 4 of the same infected can spawn at one time and when it's the gunners or hook rats or assassins they can pretty much get your whole team down immediately. You get disconnected all the time from your party of friends, every time I play mutable times, And I have to clear my cache on my Xbox one every time it disconnects! And at times you can't hear your friends in the game chat but you can hear other people in the game such as randoms.
I thought this game would fill the void of left for dead for me but it was just a disappointment and a sorry attempt to cash in on L4D fans. This game will not sit on my shelve with my other games, it will go in what I call the box where only the most disappointing games go so I will never see or remember how disappointing they where.

Play the PC version. The Xbox version is beset with poor design choices such as disconnecting and quitting the game if someone leaves instead of going to offline, making the weapons almost all feel clunky to use and the campaign being incredibly tedious to chore your way through.

A brilliant representation of a classic setting, and irresistible fun with four people. [Christmas 2016, p.84]

If you enjoyed Left 4 Dead and it's sequel then a purchase of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide will likely be a no brainer. It's fast paced action combined with the Warhammer lore and RPG-lite features makes this a great game that should keep you interested for hours or more likely months. The game is perfect for those with a regular crew of gamer friends, though it's low player base may be off putting for some.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, although not perfect as it has some issues, still manages to bring about a fresh and deeper evolution of the Left 4 Dead gameplay formula making for a somewhat enjoyable gaming experience.
