TY the Tasmanian Tiger HD on Xbox One definitely feels like a product of its time, both from a game design standpoint and especially in its true blue, albeit stereotypical, depiction of all things Straya, but it’s no dramas really. Back then and even now, with all the remastering bells and whistles in place, the game is far from being an absolute ripper of a platformer, but it’s still a gnarly beauty all the same.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger HD is a remaster of the 2002 Original Xbox era game. Porting in the original title, and smoothing over the system, weTY the Tasmanian Tiger HD is a remaster of the 2002 Original Xbox era game. Porting in the original title, and smoothing over the system, we can now enjoy the boomerang chucking over the top Tiger from Tasmania in HD. A staple in the 3D Platforming history books, TY hails back to the original Xbox console and had a few sequels to follow along in the following years. Just as it was, the adventure in TY is loaded with secrets, and hidden things, so make sure to look at every gloriously rendered texture so you don't miss a thing. The unfortunate note is in the handling, as the game still has the same terrible camera system from games of it;s era. the camera is at just the right distance so you have to be at a slightly awkward angle to control at to not block your view with the character. This isn't a fault of the re-mastery, it is just something I feel like these remakes should address if the intent is to make the game a better experience. If you played the original, the bosses will feel the same, and my muscle memory made me feel like the challenge was lost, but if you aren't familiar with the series, there isn't a better time to see what TY the Tasmanian Tiger has to offer. A trip through time, with great title from it past a must have for fans of TY! Expand
