From wild races, or head to head combat, to a free roaming adventure in a solo story or multiplayer sandbox world, Trailmakers has a little something for nearly everyone. In the Story mode, your ship is struck by a meteor, and the parts scattered over an alien world. You now must navigate this alien world and recover the salvage from your ship, turning each into a unique block to build with, and ultimately building yourself a new ship, so you can escape the planet. These pieces are scattered everywhere from floating islands to the depths of the ocean. With an on-the-fly free build mode, you can customize your vehicle or create an entirely new one (as long as you have the parts). Create cars, planes, helicopters, boats, submarines, hovercraft, or anything else you can imagine in an attempt to find all the pieces. There are 2 huge sandbox maps to explore, full of challenges and obstacles to overcome and test your vehicles limits. Make almost anything you can imagine, and then share it with the community, by adding it to the ever growing library of builds, or download others inventions to play with in the sandbox. If you enjoy building and creating, or just want a bottomless box of digital Legos, this game has taken out the stops, allowing your imagination near limitless freedom to create (it doesn't even have to be a vehicle!) Sorry Trailmakers, but i'm only giving you a 6 for this one. Even though i'm sure its me that doesn't fit for this game, it lacks a LOT of basic blocks every vehicle needs. While it also has many flaws in physics and it's building system. And thats all i'm going to say. I still enjoy the game, just very little. I usually decide to play Trailmakers , but then leave the game a second after.Sorry Trailmakers, but i'm only giving you a 6 for this one. The game is pretty cool to play and build stuff BUT the engine that is used sucks, it can't handle many builds at once...and the amount of parts missing or needed is insane while also having important parts behind a DLC is crazy.

Trailmakers is right on the cusp of being something great. There are a lot of tools here, and pieces that can be used to build anything imaginable. The focus is on creativity, and this is for anyone that liked building their own LEGO original creations, rather than following the instructions. If everything about this was as good as the customization, this would be an easy recommendation for just about everyone. Unfortunately, what exactly they let you do with your toys is less exciting, and the "game" part of the game needed a bit more work. It has the feel of building a top of the line, brand new Ferrari, and then only being able to race it around the local supermarket parking lot. With a bit more work, this could've been exceptional, but for now it feels stuck in neutral.
