Couldn’t even play the game. I got it for the GI joe and he man characters. Wasted 25 dollars on a game that didn’t even load. Got past the intro, loaded into the game (which took minutes) and got to the home screen. Guess what? Home screen froze, couldn’t do anything. I looked it up and it turns our I have delete the saved data it has. Ok sure, I do that and load back in. Still doesn’tCouldn’t even play the game. I got it for the GI joe and he man characters. I looked it up and it turns our I have delete the saved data it has. Ok sure, I do that and load back in. Still doesn’t work. I delete the save data again. Go back in and this time click play tutorial instead of skipping that. That gets me to the actual game. I play the first mission and it’s not that great, but it’s okay. I click to exit because I want to play multiplayer and it sticks me on the home screen again, unable to do anything. So to actually play this game. I have to delete my save data each time and can’t get to multiplayer or I get frozen. So each time I want to play, I have to erase all my data. That point I said “forget it” and returned it. It's still a fair bit of fun. [Nov 2015, p.87]

Toy Soldiers: War Chest is a decent tower defence title but is severely hamstrung by poor performance, dodgy looks, a big old paywall to character content and some odd design decisions.

Toy Soldiers: War Chest could really be something great but unfortunately choppy performance, uninspiring missions and a repetitive single player experience put paid to this. The licensed properties present in the game aren't enough elevate the game to anything more than a very workmanlike version of your favourite childhood moments.
