    A good tactical dungeon crawler with an intriguing story and challenging combat that is bogged down by bugs and a couple poor design decisions. Reminded me of Dungeons of Naheulbeuk except the story doesn't play for laughs. The setting is actually quite bleak and dire.

It's not fancy, but it does what it intends to, and does it well. A great time for old-school RPG enthusiasts.

    I encountered a wide variety of bugs. One made it impossible to finish a quest. Another forced me to reload an older save to progress. Feels like the game is still in beta.

    There's a terrible section in level 7 where they take away your best characters that you've been leveling, and force you play with the leftovers. I loathe when RPGs force you to play without your main party.    … Expand

    Tower of Time is a collection of a poor ideas mixed with a few positive moments. The combat system is really interesting, but it is definitely not enough to keep the player engaged.

    I want to give Tower of Time a thumbs-up as I enjoyed the gear and leveling systems and the story has a strong impact. Unfortunately, it's not well-optimised for console and suffers from too many fundamental problems so pick it up for PC if you're feeling adventurous.

    In terms of storytelling and mechanics this is a great oldschool RPG, but unfortunately the port is quite sloppy and lackluster.
