There's honestly a 30+ hour expansion with a great deal to do aside from the main quest, and if you dig The Witcher, you already know it's worth jumping into.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is a nearly flawless sendoff for Geralt of Rivia, and the world of The Witcher.

The good news is CD Projekt crafted a wonderful expansion for his sendoff that captures the series' trademarks: unexpected twists, tough choices, and intense battles. With its vast new area and involved plot, Blood and Wine feels like a full game; don't expect a simple side story with a few set of quests scattered about. It feels on par with the quality and creativity of Wild Hunt, and I loved it.

A hugely satisfying end to the best RPG in recent memory. Is it wrong we want even more? [Aug 2016, p.76]

Blood and Wine is worth the price of admission. The game will handily give you several additional hours of gameplay in the campaign alone, and several more when you’re looking for side quests. A definite must buy in my book.

Fortunately, these are momentary hitches in a much longer journey that, depending on the decisions you have made along the way, could end on a surprisingly sweet note.

this is probably the best DLC ever made. New enemies, new locations, new soundtrack, new items and new, amazing story.
Other developers would sell Blood and Wine as a normal full game, and obviously for ~40$.
I'm glad that CD Project RED made games about Geralt and his next adventures. Witcher is one of my favorites books, and now I'm able to see on screen everything I could imagine when I was reading book.
