    It’s safe to say that The Fisherman – Fishing Planet is the best fishing game available on console. It packs in so much content that you could play it for tens of hours and still find enjoyment in going back for more. It’s mechanically sound, too, making the act of fishing engaging yet not overly complicated or gamey. If you’re a PC gamer who has already invested money into Fishing Planet, however, the new content on offer probably isn’t worth splashing the cash required for this complete edition.

    For those seasoned anglers, you’ll appreciate just how much detail went into the over 1000 items, nearly 150 fish, numerous fishing holes and detailed gameplay. While I may be a fishing beginner, I really appreciated just how in-depth The Fisherman: Fishing Planet really was while also never feeling too overwhelmed with its steady mission structure or the option to freely do whatever I want and still progress. If you’ve been curious about the sport, or simply can’t wait until next summer to do the real thing, The Fisherman: Fishing Planet has more than enough content to keep you busy until the next fishing season begins.

Guiding you along your first few fishing adventures, The Fisherman helps you to understand the physics of the game, and all the various data the game gives you. Featuring everything from the Free-to-play version and a few extra toys to play with, fish how you'd like with a wide array of tackle, baits, and lures to choose from. Visit fishing holes from all over the world, as you hunt the trophy fish, and hard to catch Unique varieties of dozens of fish. Collect and build a wild variety of fishing rods, designed for different techniques and situations. Row out onto some of the venues in a kayak, or now with a motorboat to fish the hardest to reach spots. With beautiful graphics, updated water physics, and incredible ambient sounds, it provides an immersive and powerful environment in every location on the map.
