A more forgiving spin on the prison-break theme of The Escapists, The Escapists: The Walking Dead removes some of the high stress from the original and gives the player more room to breathe and enjoy what was great about it.

A great tie-in and a solid game in its own right, The Escapists: The Walking Dead is an enjoyable and surprisingly deep head-scratcher.

Apart from being too similar to the game it's based on, The Escapists: TWD delivers a great experience that fans of the TV show will enjoy.

The Escapists: The Walking Dead is a fun 8-bit indie puzzle/role-playing/survival simulation hybrid which makes excellent use of the license.

Follows the steps of the first installment, but adapts its formula to a somewhat simpler but completely different universe. If you liked the first game, or you're a fan of The Walking Dead, you should try your patience with this game.

It is not as hard or as smart as the first game as it often requires less planing than some of the prisons in the original. It does sometimes get repetitive and is quite bare bones but if you liked the first game then you might like this one. Full Review »
