Nov 4, 2015A more forgiving spin on the prison-break theme of The Escapists, The Escapists: The Walking Dead removes some of the high stress from the original and gives the player more room to breathe and enjoy what was great about it.
-
Oct 5, 2015A great tie-in and a solid game in its own right, The Escapists: The Walking Dead is an enjoyable and surprisingly deep head-scratcher.
-
Oct 22, 2015A great introduction to either series and well worth the asking price.
-
Oct 9, 2015Apart from being too similar to the game it's based on, The Escapists: TWD delivers a great experience that fans of the TV show will enjoy.
-
Oct 8, 2015The Escapists: The Walking Dead is a fun 8-bit indie puzzle/role-playing/survival simulation hybrid which makes excellent use of the license.
-
Oct 1, 2015Follows the steps of the first installment, but adapts its formula to a somewhat simpler but completely different universe. If you liked the first game, or you're a fan of The Walking Dead, you should try your patience with this game.
-
Oct 22, 2015It keeps the essence of The Escapists but adapted to the world of The Walking Dead. Of course, sometimes The Escapists: The Walking Dead can give you a déjà vu sense and it doesn't beat the original.
-
Nov 2, 2015The Escapists The Waking Dead is a nice and cute addition to the The Walking Dead world and provides a solid few hours of fun.
-
Oct 29, 2015A fun, short-lived game that’s one of the better Walking Dead experiences roaming the market.
-
Oct 26, 2015A great title that remains true to the source material, and one that fans of both the Escapists and the Walking Dead will love. Whether the daily grind of washing dirty clothes and working out in the gym will be for everyone else is another question, but this unusual and unique take on one of TV’s bests is at the very least a fun and challenging RPG.
-
Oct 5, 2015A very addictive time and resource management game which can easily make the hours fly by as you play just one more day to hunt for that elusive item you need. However, the addiction can slowly turn into frustration at not being able to find what you need or by not knowing what you need to do next due the lack of any hints.
-
Oct 5, 2015The Escapists: The Walking Dead adds some interesting mechanics to the base title, but as a TWD game it's a bit of a letdown due to a very weak storytelling and repetitive gameplay.
-
Oct 20, 2015Both The Escapists and The Walking Dead fans will be able to enjoy this game, but with some additional work it could have been much better than it is.
-
Oct 13, 2015While I wasn’t a fan of the resource management and crafting system as a whole, due to frustration and lack of hints, those with patience and who love experimentation will no doubt see hours pass by as they try to survive one more day to find that one item you’ve been searching for.
-
Oct 13, 2015The Escapists: The Walking Dead brings a normalcy to the franchise, with methodical routines and chances to explore, better yourself, or help others at will.
-
Oct 22, 2015The Walking Dead version of The Escapists feels more like a skin than a completely new game. And it is a skin that does not even make sense in this setting.
-
Oct 14, 2015As a The Walking Dead fan, a fan of puzzle games, RPG games and retro-style graphics, there is nothing I can say I enjoyed about this game.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKNov 15, 2015It's not awful, but splicing these two series together adds no value for fans of either one. It is both an inferior Walking Dead game and an inferior Escapists. [Issue#130, p.82]
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKNov 9, 2015There are brief hints at what might have been, but otherwise this is a walking dud. [Dec 2015, p.81]
