Congratulations, EA. You have earned one point. More points can be earned in 24 hours. Additional points can be purchased for $4.99 each. This is to give EA a sense of pride and accomplishment.

    Star Wars Bugfront 2 #gambling and #pay2win
This game is a punch in the face from EA to all Star Wars fans. Buggy and pay2win. EA placed several mechanisms to assure you won’t get credits enough, they are forcing us buy loot boxes to progress or be ganked by rich people over and over again.

It's not a game. It's money grab scheme with elements of game. Removing pay2win temporarily won't do anything because whole thing is built upon it. It will fall apart soon and they already looking for another way to squeeze last dollar out of you.

Refunded this broken pay to win piece of garbage. Buyer beware, if you want to be successful you gotta grind and pay. They should be paying us to play their game because it just feels like work.

I was looking forward to this game as the first game isn't too bad, despite the lack of content on launch. Looking at Jim Sterling's video showing how buggy the game is. Shame they didn't spend more time on well you know, MAKING THE GAME instead of game breaking loot boxes. Where is this going to end?

The loot boxes were "turned off," not "fixed". The question you gotta ask yourself is this: "Does EA care enough about the consumer to leave them off when the heat dies down?" I think their history speaks for itself on how much they care about the consumer.

That being said, the strength of the idea proves that the core mechanics does make for really fun game in spite of EA and Dice’s best efforts.
Yes, this is one of those hating on EA reviews and I am not going to dress it up as otherwise because while this game really SHOULD be a must buy and it’s clear EA and Dice have spent a lot of money and technological prowess on this game the sheer naked avarice and totally anti customer practices by dragging in the worse pay to win and mobile gaming’s physiological tricks to try and induce children to develop a gambling habit and milk those most vulnerable players into those much sought after transaction whales by making the game so mindboggling frustrating to play unless you carry on with the fee to play investments like making it so you would have to spend a working week grinding to get to play Darth Vader.
Yep that’s right, unless you carry on spending in already full price game, the key characters to even the battle out will be locked behind nigh impossible grind and you will lose to those who will just drop money to unlock them.
TL;DR Avoid this game at all costs.

I was truly excited to play this game. The foundation is there. The game itself has plenty of redeeming qualities, until you get to the progression system. The progression system essentially ruins an otherwise good game which is sadly all based in greed and predatory transactions. For the sake of competitive gaming and honest business practices, I cannot give it a higher score than 0.

I love star wars, but ea and Disney are single handedly ruining it. its actually amazing to see it, because they had so much potential at the start. so much hope. and we get this. what a shame. y9u cancel the open world sw game because it will make less money (but it would be more fun than this pile of garbage I tell you that) then you make micro transactions a must. wow. fire your ceo and start over or something we aren't just $ signs ea we are customers. start actually listening and giving us products we want. SO while it takes 40 hours to unlock ONE character, you also have to include the cooldown to earn said credit, so that 40 hours could easy add up to 200 hours. Just because it's another Star Wars game, does not mean what you pay for will be a quality product, even the campaign is an incomplete mess.

    Cons:
    - P2W lootboxes
    - 40 hours PER character with DAILY cooldowns
    - Game costs $2160, not $60
    - EA has always been a terrible publisher
    - Campaign is garbage
    - Multiplayer will be based on who has the bigger wallet

I will set aside the money I would have spent on this game and reserve it to be spent on products by deserving independent developers, instead. The only way I *might* see myself supporting this product would be if EA acknowledges their faults, reworks these systems and guarantees never to implement non-cosmetic micro-transactions into the game in perpetuity. Good luck with that...

So every unit has 3 slots for Starcards, you have one opened slot by default, the rest can be opened by getting StarCards, and how do you get Starcards, though LOOTBOXES/GAMBLING. So multiplayer is unbalanced and broken, you get lower level players get paired with higher level player, instead of have a leveled playing field with players with you skill level. although EA have taken micro transactions TEMPORARILY, its is still a broken game. BUT the micro transactions with be back.
The single player is fine if you like doing the same this over and over again. You have a cutscene, then you fight stormtrooper or rebels, then another cutscene, get in a vehicle or a starship. There are so levels that you play a hero like Luke Skywalker or Han Solo. The single player is worst than the 2005 Star Wars Battlefront. EA is absolutely Trash, they prey on players with gambling problem and young children, they ruin and otherwise good game, but because of the greed and disrespect towards their consumers. this a full priced game 60$ or 80$ not a free to play mobilelike game. Battlefront II is fan service and little else; much respect to the craft, the attention to detail and the wealth of content, but sadly it just isn't enough. It's starting to feel as if Star Wars simply isn't a franchise suitable for this type of sprawling, large-scale multiplayer experience. It doesn't have it in its bones, and if DICE can't find a way to make it work, we're fearful nobody can. [Issue#195, p.72]

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will go down as one of the biggest screw ups in video game history. EA and DICE had the easiest job in the world and completely ruined it with the absolutely ridiculous and downright unacceptable progression system for multiplayer. Combine that with the incredibly boring, lazy, and cliche story campaign and you easily have the biggest disappointment of 2017.
