In Spheroids you take control of Lucas, a jumpy Canadian boy who sets out on an adventure with his crazy scientist companion Otto after it's discovered that the government has been hiding alternative universes from the cubic world they live in. Unfortunately, these alternative universes contain spheres that wish to turn everything round, so it's up to Lucas to save the world from these dangerous aliens: the Spheroids. Throughout Spheroids' 32 levels, youll encounter many different environments, with multiple hazards to avoid and enemies to destroy. Items such as the "Modified Drilling Hoo"k Otto lends Lucas will help you traverse the environment with ease, with many more to find throughout. Expand

A colorful and varied 2D platform game, with Pang-like combat mechanics but a little bit short on longevity.

While I would’ve liked to see a more meaningful narrative as well as more variety in the shooting mechanics, I still think Spheroids is a game I can recommend for someone looking for an intense yet casual adventure.

Spheroids becomes a great tribute to the Pang! saga and a must have game for those players who enjoyed the classics games of eighties. It should have a longer duration and more difficulty to become a great title.

Whilst an entire playthrough of Spheroids will only take you four or five hours tops, and nothing put in front of you is likely to test any of your gaming skills, you’ll probably still enjoy the mindless ball popping mayhem that it brings – whether or not that statement says more about me and my gaming ambitions though is another matter.

Promising, but unpolished interpretation of the classic Pang! that needs refinement in almost every aspect.

Spheroids can be addicting, but that means your time spent with it won't last long. This type of game doesn't rely on a well-written story; it relies on functionality and an enjoyable endeavor. It has met the basic requirements for success but is not going to appeal to everyone. Like the bouncing spheroids, this game has its ups and downs. If you are looking for a quick game with a simple charm and a clear objective, this is it. If you're looking for hidden secrets and a challenge, you should probably pass.

The central concept is as mindlessly addictive as ever, while the audiovisual update is pleasing to the eyes and ears. Unfortunately the game is let down by being too short and too easy, while some unnecessary platforming gimmicks frustrate more often than they entertain.

Charming, I found that Spheroids provided entertainment in short bursts. A linear Buster Bros like game with story elements and upgrades.Charming, I found that Spheroids provided entertainment in short bursts.
