    So far I really enjoyed this game, I love this new concept when sonic goes open world (or open zone they called it.) despite the world is a bit plain but you will get used to it. I will definitely recommend to play this,

    Sonic Frontiers is a really fun Game. It makes you feel like Sonic, IGN would say that. The Combat is fun, the Speed is very fast at the end of the game, Story is very good, and Open Zones are alright. The Pop In is a big problem, and some missions on the Open Zones are very borng. But Sonic Frontiers is a great step in the future of Sonics Gameplay!

    Overall this is a very good Sonic game, the best since Unleashed and Generations, Sonic controls really good in the open zones, the DropDash is amazing ( The best feeling of being in control of the character of all the games in the franchise ) and it’s very satisfying upgrading Sonic stats, the combat is awesome, the exploration, and I love that the game let you change Sonic acceleration,Overall this is a very good Sonic game, the best since Unleashed and Generations, Sonic controls really good in the open zones, the DropDash is amazing ( The best feeling of being in control of the character of all the games in the franchise ) and it’s very satisfying upgrading Sonic stats, the combat is awesome, the exploration, and I love that the game let you change Sonic acceleration, turning speed, boost speed, and more, I love the customization in that way, the history of this game is really really good, Ian is the best, the only thing that I don’t like it’s the reused assets from cyberspace, Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and Sky Santuary, and the physics in the Cyberspace levels, I’m loving this new generation of Sonic games!

    And the Super Sonic battles, uff, Sonic is officially back!

    This was the best sonic game in at least 15 years. I know people may argue that Unleashed was better. However, I think this was. The story is so good and the characters with proper characterization and conversations is back. The only problem is the pop in and the easy puzzles.

    THIS IS THE BEST SONIC GAME AN HISTORY! Everything in this game is great! The combots is good! The bosses is great! And cyberspace....is not that bad but it's fun as hell if you speedrun! And this game is my top 5. Best game. 10/10.

    Sonic Frontiers feels like a desperate breath of fresh air into the series.

    It is not perfect by any means - cyberspace levels are hit or miss and some are genuinely AWFUL to go through and S rank (3-7 lmao), pop in is an issue though it's not a big deal to me, and there are a few minor bugs that I have encountered only twice in my 15 hours of playtime so far. However, everything else    Sonic Frontiers feels like a desperate breath of fresh air into the series.

    It is not perfect by any means - cyberspace levels are hit or miss and some are genuinely AWFUL to go through and S rank (3-7 lmao), pop in is an issue though it's not a big deal to me, and there are a few minor bugs that I have encountered only twice in my 15 hours of playtime so far. However, everything else outshines it. The story is great with the help of Ian Flynn, known for the Sonic IDW comics. The voice acting is okay for the most part, Amy's in particular is wonderful. Character interactions are great and feel so much better than what we got in the last decade.

    Exploring the open world is genuinely great. I always find myself exploring to see what else there is to find instead of going to the main goal. Last night, I said I'd only play for another hour. Before I knew it, I had played for 8. (Also I do not understand the complaints about the world feeling "empty", I think stuff being spaced out is necessary given how fast Sonic goes.)

    But more or less, this game leaves a wonderful foundation for follow-ups. I cannot wait to see what the Sonic series brings in the future.

    P.S. The soundtrack is FIRE and they got Kellin Quinn from Sleeping with Sirens on it. 100/10 banger OST.    … Expand

    I played 100% of the story of Sonic Frontiers and what I can tell about the game is tall he is amazing.
    Beautiful graphics, increrible story and gameplay, simple combat but flexible, AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL SONGS.
    The Open Zone its basically full of things to do, but the biggest probleme is the pop in and some un-polished animations, for exemple the animations of Super Sonic or the    I played 100% of the story of Sonic Frontiers and what I can tell about the game is tall he is amazing.

    But the Cyberspace are... something complicated. The biggests problems are reuse of stages and repetition of the same 4 stages. But the different of most people I liked a lot of the cyberspace, because the biggest problem for me was the small stages but they are not THAT SMALL, because you have to make 4 different missions and it's so difficult to do all of them at the same time, so most of the stages takes like 6 minutes to complete every missions.
    So what I can tell is that Sonic Frontiers IS THE BEST SONIC GAME IN YEARS    … Expand

    My expectations from Sonic Frontiers were ambiguous - starting from mystery announcement, continuing with very poor PR campaign and ending with the last trailers. At the start I was sceptical, but everything changed after first vocals were published. And here it begins...
    Anyway, I had not high but expectations of that this    Sonic has never been such an anime (forget about Sonic X)...
    My expectations from Sonic Frontiers were ambiguous - starting from mystery announcement, continuing with very poor PR campaign and ending with the last trailers. At the start I was sceptical, but everything changed after first vocals were published. And here it begins...

    Anyway, I had not high but expectations of that this game could potentially turn over whole series, possibly letting Sonic Team go on the redemption path after the last years of mockery over the franchise. And they did it, creating the game which must become base for new accomplishments of the team, because it founding for the hedgehog absolutely new, but quite perspective path.

    It's hard to speak about positive or negative sides of the game without spoilers, so I'll be brief. If you're an old fan of the series and care about it, you should give this game a chance even if you're thinking it slids down sometimes (it does). Sonic Frontiers is dragging lots of issues from the old games of ST (Sonic Forces as an example), but I have a faith that the team is able to solve them. Yes, Sonic Frontiers doesn't have deep combat system, but it's still addictive. Yes, there's not much activities, but for the 20 hours of the game I didn't get bored of them. Yes, there are some technical issues, but you very soon stop care about them. Let Sonic enter the new frontiers.    … Expand

    On Xbox One the game is nothing short of mesmerising. Everything down to the Cyloop and the Koco being adorable really helps Frontiers shine, and I love it.

    This game is simply amazing. I never had this much fun with a sonic game since unleashed 14 years ago. This is the best 3d sonic game ever. The combat is fun, the world is beautiful and the exploration never felt boring. The bosses are the best in the series. The music is top notch. The story reminds me of the 2000's a lot (in a good way) and the dialogue and characterization are perfect.This game is simply amazing. I never had this much fun with a sonic game since unleashed 14 years ago. This is the best 3d sonic game ever. The combat is fun, the world is beautiful and the exploration never felt boring.     No. After 10 years of cringe-jokes, bad writing we finally got a game where Sonic takes itself seriously again. It was never meant for kids. It was meant for everyone. Yeah the movies did him dirty (I’m not saying the movies are bad, they are REALLY good. Thing is, they made Sonic character for kids. It make sense since he’s still a kid there but then everyone will think he is. When he’s not.)

    “Image being a kid, he would be bored playing this game”

    Are you that kid? Stop self projecting. Why we have to treat Kids like they are stupid? Super Paper Mario was 14 years ago. Do I really have to explain what I’m saying? That game aged like fine wine. Bowser’s Inside Story is another one. And this will do the same because it’s good. It’s so good. Cyberspace is the “eh, okay” of the game, I see the potential, it can be improved. And here I thought I would hate this game, I hate open worlds and I don’t like Zelda at all, but I respect it because that’s just me, Zelda makes good games.     A genuinely great game. The open world is fun to run around in and has lots to do, it doesn't just feel like a big empty field. The cyber space levels are fun, challenging and fair. The boss fights are really fun. Sonic himself feels great to control. The story is really good, the characters feel like their old self again before the meta era. And the soundtrack is of course amazing like always.

    The best Sonic game ever made! The open zone is really great designed and every island has it‘s own individuality. I really loved to play this game 30 hours with such a great story. Not like the usual stories without any big plots. This story was deep and was so good written with many plot twists and great character development. Really really great and my favorite game from now on!

    Más allá de cualquier dato técnico, como uno que otro fallo con algunas colisiones (igualmente nada de gravedad) el juego es simplemente el regreso triunfal de esta querida franquicia. Si bien tuvimos un gran juego hace 5 años con Sonic Mania, los juegos modernos habían flaqueado por deficiente desempeño, pero con este juego, toda esa incertidumbre y miedo de que saliera mal se disipóMás allá de cualquier dato técnico, como uno que otro fallo con algunas colisiones (igualmente nada de gravedad) el juego es simplemente el regreso triunfal de esta querida franquicia. Si bien tuvimos un gran juego hace 5 años con Sonic Mania, los juegos modernos habían flaqueado por deficiente desempeño, pero con este juego, toda esa incertidumbre y miedo de que saliera mal se disipó rápidamente.

    El juego a nivel visual es hermoso, jugablemente entretenido y la historia intrigante, cada mini juego muy divertidos, y la exploración es algo que definitivamente la franquicia necesitaba. Por último, el apartado de rama de habilidades es interesante aunque resumida, dado que se nota plenamente que están experimentando aún con el género para el erizo azúl.

    Tengo el juego en Xbox One y me va perfecto.

Cyber levels are short, very linear and repeating the assets of Sonic Generations and Forces. The positive point goes to the Original Soundtrack (maybe the major point). If you like generic Open World game and avoiding this is a Sonic game, youA mediocre game with interesting purposes, but it fails during execution.     O jogo é lindo graficamente para o Xbox one, a história faz show com personagens que estavam sendo estragados aos poucos pela sega como o tails a Amy, o knuckles e até o próprio sonic sendo completamente reformulados com a questão de profundidade do jogo, tem controles estáveis no mundo aberto um combate legal mas só não recebe um 10 por causa do cyberespaço que se repete demais em temas eO jogo é lindo graficamente para o Xbox one, a história faz show com personagens que estavam sendo estragados aos poucos pela sega como o tails a Amy, o knuckles e até o próprio sonic sendo completamente reformulados com a questão de profundidade do jogo, tem controles estáveis no mundo aberto um combate legal mas só não recebe um 10 por causa do cyberespaço que se repete demais em temas e cópia level design dos jogos antigos, de problemas técnicos tive apenas os pop ins de plataformas fora isso não houve nenhum bug, vale 300 reais o jogo?     The game was fun but gave me some gripes. I personally didn't Amy's story, I would get locked in 2d sections on the 3&5 islands, and the game feels like it was meant to be beat without any upgrades as I upgraded Sonic's strength to level ~35(I got many seeds from bug's fishing game) for the final titan and it was a cake walk compared to the previous one's(~level 5). I did enjoy the titanThe game was fun but gave me some gripes.     As far as I can tell this game is only receiving the positive reviews that it is because of how poor this game was expected to be, by all standards of sonic games and games in general this game is not particularly fun or enjoyable, not as bad as expected but come on, get real.

    So, uh... this game is Amazin'?

    I did not expect to love this as much as I did, and this is comin' from someone that Loved Sonic Forces!
    But this game is just on another level!
    Everythin', the Story, the OST, the Cutscenes, the Gameplay, The Bosses... there wasn't a single thing I disliked 'bout this one, and I'm still in awe on how much this made me feel good!

Plus the levels don't last that long, so they aren't as irritating as some of the Boost Formula levels in past games. The story is also very well written for the most part. It's still got that Sonic-ish writing where it doesn't always come out the best, but it's still great overall. It was kind of disappointing that the Xbox One version doesn't run at 60 fps, even on the XBO X, but 30 fps is fine for the game. Frontiers is one of the best Sonic games I've played.… Expand

    Desideravo da quando ho 6 anni questo gioco, quando ero piccolo mi innamorai della saga grazie a Sonic Advance per Gameboy sp e Sonic Heroes per la prima Xbox, la critica non ci ha mai capito nulla, Sonic è il gioco più figo e più divertente al mondo

    Loved this game, it runs kinda good at Xbox one, better than Forces and a good step foward to the franchise, Cyberspace could be better... but other than cyberspace controls, i enjoyed a lot

    Das Spiel macht mir sehr Spaß und erinnert n bissl an Zelda Breath of the Wild wegen dem Open-World. Von der Grafik her ist es für Sega Verhältnisse eigentlich ziemlich gut, aber NICHT perfekt. Aber mich stört es nicht so sehr (nicht sowie bei Pokémon Purpur). Kann ich es empfehlen? Ja. Es ist in meinen Augen ein gutes Sonic Spiel.

    The gameplay, music, bosses and open world design are great, and the plot is the most interesting one since Sonic Unleashed, and also the estetic of the open zones remembered me playing Sonic Adventure and Unleashed.
    It lacks on the final boss, which is dissapointing, and sometimes upgrading the habilities tends to be really easy when you find out that big the cat and the cyloop give you skill points. And sometimes the cyberspce phisics tends to be weird to control, but you can get used to.

    Awesome Sonic game, very reminiscent of Sonic adventure from back in the day. Boss fights are crazy and the difficulty isn't too bad, even on hard mode. Highly recommend picking it up if you were a fan of Sonic adventure 1/2.

    Fleshing out The Series' Main Antagonist Dr. Eggman to where he acknowledges Sonic as a formidable Adversary, How he considers Sage to be his BEST creation yet, due to her Competence; Giving Character Development to Sonic's Friends;

    and Most Interesting; making Dr. Eggman NOT the True Final Boss; like how he USUALLY is

    It's Interesting how the TRUE main Antagonist was actually Manipulating Sonic into doing its bidding the entire game. . .

    Honestly, Seeing How such a Good game like this can be trashed by a Youtuber's Fan-Dumb is just AWFUL;

    I Might not have played it; but Seeing gameplay footage of it; gave a very good impression for me; I Loved How Sonic could Run in an Open Area unlike he ever could before;

Also add more combat variety and make the combat just a little more complex and also to make the cyberspace levels more longer. On average 2-3 to complete and make them with completely new and original level themes and good level design with multiple pathways and challenging obstacles. And make sure next time when you guys do cyberspace to make the controls way better like how sonic generations levels controlled for modern sonic. Story is overall really good but could be more fleshed out but characterization is amazing in this game and the characters act like they should be which is a big step up from the 2010s. The titan bosses are super fun as well but again make them a bit more fleshed out and challenged and they would easily be the best in the franchise.     It has some issues, like the physics, specially on the cyberspace stages, or confusing parts like on some island areas, but besides that, it's such a fun game that deserves the title of best Sonic game so far.

    This is the best 3D Sonic game ever made since Sonic Adventure 1. Every island is good and with unique enemies and a story so well written that is gonna make a revolution in Sonic franchise. The only mistake is pop in but it doesn't affect gameplay.

    Since this game was getting some attention, I thought I'd review how my experience has been on Xbox One. Put simply, I think it's great. I'm generally very relaxed on graphics so the pop-in didn't annoy me a ton. The last Sonic game I played was Lost World, which didn't sit right. This feels infinitely better, fighting the titans is a very rewarding experience.

Not every island has the same amount of quality put in it but they all had something that made them fun to run around and do things in. There are minigames on each island vary really but they're quick and simole which doesnt break the pace too much. Combat in this game feels satisfying and SUPER flashy. It is a bit button mashy but the moves look SO COOL which makes them fun to pull off anyway. The mini bosses that you fight on the islands are also fun to fight against and all have their own mechanics and titan bosses ARE SO HYPE AND AMAZING. the best bosses the series has seen in a while and its such a big shame that you can't replay them. Adding a boss rush mode to this game NEEDS to happen the bosses are too good to not reply casually. The game does feel a bit easy at many points so I wish it was harder overall but the core of the game was still a blast. Cyberspace was a mixed bag. Some were really fun, some were okay and some I just didn't like but they are pretty easy to replay which is good sinciserinf there's quite a lot of them. This games story is catered mainly towards sonic fans. There are a lot of references that fans will get so I found it more enjoyable than causal players probably will but there's still fun to be had with it. There's a more serious tone here but the characterisation of each character feels MUCH better than before and it fits with the tone of the game, so overall I found the story to be interesting and it helps that Ian flynn, the writer of the sonic comics, wrote this games story too.

    Overall though I think sonic frontiers is honestly one of the best 3D sonic games in the series in a long time. This is a massive step in the right direction and I really hope we get more content for this game and they expand on this games ideas in the future!    … Expand

    It’s really fun to go as fast as possible and the music is really good. The story has very well animated cutscenes. Cyberspace was very fun when trying to get perfect time. The music is amazing. The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal, dare I say one of the best in the series. The combat and movement controls are extremely smooth all around and the Titan fights are super hype. I also noticed that with Ian taking the lead on the story, much of the characterization and life has returned to the overall narrative. Now this isn't a perfect game by any means, but it is pretty close. All I ask is that the overworld and platforming pieces blend together better, along with adding some more post-game things to do. I'm still happy with what we got though and can't wait to see what sonic team does next. Welcome back sonic, I hope that this is the beginning to your long awaited comeback

    Also, please add DLC that allows us to do a gauntlet style combat challenge using tougher versions of the guardians, basic enemies, and titans. I would love to have a challenge that allows me to expand on my combat skill. Maybe even sneak in a fight against the end that's more like the Titan fights while you're at it.    … Expand

The story is amazing, Voice Acting is phenomenal, Gameplay is a MAJOR improvement from the last mainline Sonic game, and the music?? Chef's kiss. This game isn't perfect however, the final 2 islands are just the 1st island but split and Sonic's controls in cyberspace are gonna take sometime to get use to since he feels like a tank. The story will have you in shock and awe, and Sonic will be facing some challenges and is hurting himself just to save his friends from cyberspace, what a guy. This game gives off tons of BOTW and Shadow of the Colloses Vibes and I love it. The games music is BOTW levels of zen, but Metal Gear Rising levels of intense. During the boss fights, you are Super Sonic fighting these HUGE titans with heavy metal playing in the background, and it makes you feel like a badass. The cyberspace levels are the weakest part of the game however. Again, sonic controls like a tank, the levels are just copied and pasted levels from past sonic games such as Unleashed and Generations, and the themes are...you guessed it, Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Sky Sancthuary, and Speed Highway. Despite this, the cyberspace levels are pretty fun and are very challenging to S-Rank. 1-2 was the death of me lmao. If you are a Sonic fan and LOVE open world games, then this game is for you.     is an amazing game, but the camera sometimes got crazy and the history have some rare things but still being a good game. The soundtrack is amazing, the levels the islands are so beautiful. is a beautiful game on my opinion.

    Well, it finally happened. Sonic Team made a good Sonic game. While Sonic Frontiers is an amazing game, there are issues. The one most noticeable is the horrendous amount of pop-in. It shouldn't be a problem, but it will most likely be patched in a future update. Other than that and other issues, the game is fantastic.     This new adventure starring the blue blur himself... sonic frontiers is awesome I would give this a 9 but cyberspace kinda ruins it. but the boss fights MMM masterpiece the open zone is good, and the combat is a little too easy. nevertheless it's good game. A step in the right direction!

    Since the last update came out yesterday, I think the game went from a 7 to an 8.5. There's still issues with the game that needs to be fixed but it's still a great game! I think Update 3 is gonna boost this game to a 9 or 9.5 at the max

    Ultimately, that’s the feeling I leave Sonic Frontiers with. It’s not perfect and it could never be perfect with the chances it takes but ultimately the chances are generally the best parts of the game. I have not been this excited to talk about a Sonic game since Generations which was over a decade ago. Sonic is fun, and I think a lot of people will have fun with it. I hope the team expands upon what they built here because I genuinely believe the next game built off this framework could be amazing.
