  • Summary: Out of cash, out of luck, out on the fringe. Juno Markev has a killer to tail, a debt to pay, and more trouble headed her way. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw takes place in a greasy, blue-collar world of outlaws, truckers, cops and thieves.

It’s easy to recommend Rebel Galaxy Outlaw on Xbox One. As a space sim, it’s been built for console, and it manoeuvres through a minefield of controls that have junked so many others. The trading and upgrades will keep you hopping into the cockpit, over and over again, but be wary of overheating the experience: the missions aren’t hugely varied, so Outlaw should be best played in short bursts.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is an interesting galaxy adventure with some many options to be a space cowboy. Near to classics, like X-Wing vs Tie Fighter in the combats, and with a narrative experience near to Wing Commander games, it gives a lot of options to explore and improve as a pilot. With the ability to take different paths and options, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw becomes a good alternative to those who like open-space adventures.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw will make you feel like a bonafide space cowboy with its fantastic mesh of gameplay elements and memorable cast of characters. Just make sure you're willing to put a lot of effort into learning how to play it before you take the plunge into space.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a space western-styled space trading and combat simulation single-player video game developed and published byRebel Galaxy Outlaw is a space western-styled space trading and combat simulation single-player video game developed and published by five-person studio Double Damage Games. It is the prequel of Rebel Galaxy. You play as Juno Markev, a pilot stuck between the search for her husband's killer, her need to make cash to cover the debt of replacing her recently junked ship, and her shady past. There are five ships you can purchase from various stations, each with traits that make them suitable as freighters or as fighters. The detailed cockpit is the default view, and it is daunting at first--though you can also play in third-person--which seems weird given that you play an experienced pilot; the numerous switches, lights and dials each flicker away, and you're not really sure what they do at first. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw lives up to its name among space sims. It’s spirited, nice to look at and quite vibrant, while it effectively sprays graffiti over the existing space simulation norm. None of its systems are particularly deep, but skimming along over them can be an exhilarating journey. It’s a solid game but some may find the price of admission a bit intimidating. Go ahead it’s a solid entry into the Xbox One catalog of games in the genre. Expand
