I never got the chance to play the original of this game but I did here some good things about it so I was quite enthusiastic about this release. Unfortunately my enthusiasm quickly turned into dread because the game is littered with problems and by the looks of it, it hasn’t aged well. The combat in the game is probably the most boring combat I’ve ever played in a game, and the main reason it’s that bad is because it’s painfully slow. Traversing around the map is also painfully slow and any interest that’s garnerned quickly fritters away into boredom. The content in the game however is vast and there is a great amount of hours to be sunk in here, and the good thing is that the content is thankfully pretty interesting. I also quite like the gameplay in the game and I found the unique mix of the RPG and management style to work quite well. I would however have liked them to have explained their mechanics to me properly because on multiple occasions I just didn’t know what to do. The game also has some technical issues running through it, and whilst these issues are bearable they can still be very frustrating. The presentation side of the game has definitely not aged very well and it clearly shows a lack of polish in all areas. This was especially the case in the sound design which unfortunately sounds poor throughout. At the end of the day I’m a big fan of remakes, but only if they’re done properly and actually improve things. Unfortunately as far as remakes go this is one of them games that hasn’t improved anything at all and this will no doubt put a lot of people off. I was also shocked by how much the game costs and it surprised me that the game is a lot more expensive on Xbox One than it is on PC. I don’t like not recommending games, but this game has too many problems and is very overpriced so unfortunately I can’t recommend it.… Expand
