This is a nice brutal roguelike turn based strategy RPG with deep character development, over 75 stats to manage and over 50 spells to choose to enhance. If you are a fan of either genre, this will scratch your itch. 13 classes to pick from. You start the game with about 30 or so pre-built characters to choose your team from, but It also has a very unique character creator that I recommend figuring out how to use. I found that by creating my own team of specialists it was the only way I could wrap my head around the stat and magic development along with the roles required to be successful with things. Yes, roles, the team leader sets the tone in situations and one character cannot be the leader in all situations. I spent my first week with the game simply trying to sort out how to keep my team alive and sorting through things. This was on the easiest setting. There are a multitude of configurable options to ramp up the difficulty and the RPG immersive factors in a way to suit your play style. The 'Help' is actually fairly good for this kind of game. It does have a lot going on under the hood so there still was a bit of a learning curve. But once i'd become more familiar with everything, I created my own team and now we rock. But even with that said, people still die and occasionally we do flee from battle. There are a couple options for possibly getting lost guys back so death is not always the end of a character. Its a roguelike, its simply part of the experience. If you are looking to scratch that itch, this is the game! Expand
