Ahora comenzaré a argumentar mi postura.

Ahora comenzaré a argumentar mi postura.

This game is not a masterpiece, but it really has the potential of be one in the future, as they take more deep advantage of the esence of this game, i had too much FUN playing it and i found the story really interesting, beautiful graphics, and stunning special effects; Sadly is too short. I think a 8.3 would be perfect.

Questo è un vero capolavoro assoluto ma visto che non è esclusiva Sony ha voti nettamente inferiori di giochi sopravvalutati tipo The last of us o i vari Uncharted .... Trama gameplay grafica ed effetti davvero stupendi

Quantum Break is a really interesting title that I'd recommend to everyone. The gameplay is very fluid and fun. If I hadn't known it was coming from people behind Max Payne, I'd still feel it anyway. All guns and powers are useful and it's fun to use them which makes you vary your toolset and not stick to one weapon for the duration of whole game (which happens with some games).

The deal-breaker is tv series intertwined in the game. It's not bad but it is out of the place. It only reduces the pace of the game and sometimes bores you. These story arcs should have been presented in-game and not as a 20 minutes long movies (after first 4 acts for the total of about 80 minutes).

The story and characters were interesting and likable however not all of them were believable. I like the idea behind the story and it kept me going to see the outcome which pleased. The ending pointed to potential sequel which I guess is unlikely considering game's reception.

Game is using very bizzare rendering technique which makes everything look very grainy. It grows on you and I liked it considering game's setting with time breaking down. Animations are superb and probably the best in any game as of now (what a welcome feature coming from ME: Andromeda). Voice acting was excellent.

I believe game's bad reception was due to it being 12h long game, out of which at least a third is tv-series and cut-scenes. Lack of multiplayer didn't help.

I definately recommend it, especially if you can pick it up at such a low price as me (15$). I'd rate it 7.5 if it was possible.

An interesting meld of Alan Wake and Max Payne can't prevent this game from feeling linear and short on ideas. Less time should have been spent on the hammy dialogue and acting cast and more time spent on crafting an interesting world and characters who didn't all feel dislikeable and generic.

Besides star-power and an interesting time-related gimmick along the lines of something out of 2010’s Singularity, Quantum Break is interesting in other ways as well. For one, it is both a live-action television show and a video game, each part intermingled with the other in an intricate yet optional playable and watchable experience. This is really where the acting credits come in handy and where the story and lore progress deeper than they could in the base third-person action-shooter game itself. The story itself as well as the fluidity of gameplay mechanics are certainly the highlights and have been praised by other critics as such, however some of the other mechanics such as platforming and general locomotion are a bit messier.

Although it is intrinsically a shooter game and these typically don’t have much to offer in the way of a story, Quantum Break’s plot is fairly refreshing and interesting, not just for the genre but for gaming as a whole. It does admittedly share similarities to some other time traveling adventures but then that exists only because many of the same issues that have always been theorized regarding time travel exist in this incarnation as well of course. One unique mechanic the game features is the built-in ability to essentially decide how the protagonist and antagonist will act and how that will shape the course of the plot itself. The game does a good job of representing Aidan Gillan’s (of course) chaotic character as neither good nor bad and sets him up as a definitely complicated antagonist that largely acts according to how protagonist Jack Joyce (Shawn Ashmore) reacts to…well it’s all really spoiler-ish and confusing so I’ll stop there.

When all things are said and done, Quantum Break should be and is an interesting new direction for Microsoft because it presents an original playing field with many talented actors and an intriguing yet potentially well-written and already closed script as well. Although I could see how the game could become a series, it also offers a thoroughly satisfying experience and conclusion which means it could be one of those highly praised cult-classic one-off games some day soon. There’s room for improvement and also some room for upgrading the story to be a little less linear and yet with all the background details and lore and episodic live-action pieces included it really is a pretty complete bundle. I’d like to not only hear or see more about the universe- not even in video games but perhaps through other mediums such as comics or novels, but also just see how similar elements that worked well in this game could be implemented into others successfully as well.

Remedy Entertainment is well known and well-praised for their work on some unique cult-classics and projects such as all things Alan Wake. Although many people would like to see Alan Wake 2 (in earnest) or see them take the helm on other ambitious and interesting projects, I also think working on Quantum Break was the right call and that they really nailed the tone and pacing they were aiming for. Sam Lake (who you may also know for producing stories in relation to Max Payne 1 and 2 as well as Alan Wake and a credit in Gravity) couldn’t have been a better fit for directing the effort and for managing the elements that would eventually come together to form a brave new live-action meets interactive adventure and game trope. Honestly, I’m a little disappointed that nobody else has started to implement the themes yet into their own development projects quite yet.

For me, Quantum Break exists somewhere in the 8-9 range in terms of assigning an actual number to it, if that were even possible. It does so many things well despite what could’ve ultimately ended up as an otherwise generic shooter like so many others out there. The story is both original and actually engaging, with memorable characters and talented actors truly bringing it to life and making me actually feel invested in the moment to moment action. Whether it was actually taking the time to watch each lengthy episode or play through the intermingled game portions, the entire package as a whole is a unique and lovable experience. I’ve been truly interested in some of the theories and lore ever since and would definitely love to see the brand used elsewhere even if it never comes back to gaming- it’s too much of an interesting tale to not take advantage of.

That apart **** this game, who the hell asked for the ''blend'' of live action and video game? guess what it doesn't **** work, the live actions are boring as **** the cutscenes where it uses the game engine are better, but not by too much, also why the hell an story focused game that has so many cutscenes, also has so many **** emails and walls of text that break immersion? if someone says those are good, well they are not and are lying to you, they are boring and not immersive, also the gameplay grows stale and boring, it doesn't have that much depth to begin with, it is mostly the same from max payne only WAY more boring and doesn't work the same way.
there are only 3 types of enemies and tedious boss fights with not that good IA, also the enemies types are the same from Alan wake, normal not challenging soldiers, bullet sponges and dudes who teleport all over, all are uninspiring and boring.
The scenery isn't that good, it lacks detail, all of the puzzles can be barely be called puzzles because they are barebones.
In other words this whole game is an bad teaser for an possible Alan wake 2, this is by far the worst game from remedy, and another failure both in critical and in sales for an ex-exclusive for the xbox, don't waste your money, go and buy uncharted which was the one that actually killed quantum break, and not the contrary, or if you only have xbox, go play gears of war or sunset drive, they are far better games, the moments i laid eyes on this ''exclusive'' i knew it was gonna rekted by uncharted and also by bloodborne.

Waste of money going to this project, the story is boring, remedy and microsoft spent too much money on flamboyant and unnecessary things that makes the game not as profitable than what it should be, like making a real life movie, having flamboyant effect.

Even the TV show aspect was done very well, giving some characters more depth and made me more interested in the plot and world. Oh and the voice acting is fantastic, and there is lots of extra lore you can find out in the game world.

The gameplay has some highs and lows. To start, the time powers are very fun to use. They give you them gradually throughout the game, and you can upgrade them with points you find in the game world. While that is fun, my main problem is the lack of enemy variety and weapons. There aren't even 10 guns, and all of them are standard. I would have liked more. The game could have also used another mode outside the story and possibly a new game plus with more upgrades, as once you beat the story that is really it.

Lastly, the graphics are fantastic and the sound design is good, though nothing amazing.

Overall a great game, though there are some flaws that Remedy could have fixed. I would recommend it though, especially with the price being lower now.

I like the innovation between it being a video game and TV show, but that's practically the only thing I like about it.

The acting is okay, but it seem's like they're trying to hard. The gameplay is nothing special, more generic than unique. Very repetitive mission's structure, and only two outcomes at the end of those missions.

Quantum Break is an incredible game that will hook you for its ten hour duration and stay with you long after that. The story is packed with mystery, suspense, and engaging characters caught in a high stakes situation where every decision is significant. While adding TV show may not have revolutionized storytelling, Quantum Break is a must play game for those looking to sink their teeth into a meaningful adventure.

Quantum Break is a bad movie, but a really good game. It did not convince me with its poor (and poorly told) story and characters that I did not care about at all, but as a shooter it is really enjoyable and creative. [05/2016, p.38]
