    again remedy shows us the best gameplay,the superb visuals and the strong story.i love this game so much heavy battles with great time-powers,pleasing narration follow up great acting and at last but not least game let you play it as you desire.this game is a jump-ahead-link for games and movies.

    the game is simply amazing. The graphical effects with the time abilities is INSANE! A must have for all Xbox and PC owners. The game can last from 10-20 hours so it does not overstay its welcome.

    This is some of the best story telling I've ever seen in a video game. I absolutely love the live action movie sequences that are mixed into the gameplay. If you are looking for a a game with an amazing story and a lot of detail then this is a game for you. The gameplay itself is nothing amazing but it is still very enjoyable and fun to play.

    First things first, the game is beautiful. If you thought Ryse showcased the power of the Xbox One, wait until you see this game in action. Gameplay wise, it uses the Tomb Raider cover mechanics where you get into cover automatically when close. Third person shooter mechanics are standard fare, but where things get interesting is with the time powers. With a simple button press you canFirst things first, the game is beautiful. If you thought Ryse showcased the power of the Xbox One, wait until you see this game in action. With a simple button press you can manipulate time like a god, rather it's to form a shield to stop incoming bullets and then dashing to a better advantage, there's a lot of tools at your disposal.

    Now onto the interesting section, the show. Characters are well acted and the story is engrossing. The first episode really sets the tone for the game and show, and possible future iterations of both. The action reminds me of a Bourne movie and the backdrop of the overall story is some of the best sci-fi writing out. It's genuinely an amazing experience overall.    … Expand

    Absolutely fantastic storytelling. Great atmosphere and graphics. Very fitting soundtrack also. The acting is great and the episodes in between gameplay really flow well and provide a nice interlude between gunfights and exploration. The movement of the main character can be slightly clumsy in places but that is such a minor point that I wouldn't dock points for it. 10/10 well done remedy!

Mixing both gameplay elements of old and new, it's the perfect combination of what made their past games special while bringing new things to the table. The combat is smooth and fast, the graphics areIf you're a fan of Remedy's past work, Quantum Break delivers.     Takes me back to my first play of Max Payne. This game is very very fun to play and has a great story. Good on Remedy and MS for taking a chance on the tv show. It isn't perfect but I can see this becoming a regular occurrence. I would have preferred that hey put their time and money into one set of tv episodes as opposed to multiple takes with multiple paths but that's just me. Excellent game.

The performance of each game can leave a lot to be desired on lesser hardware. Especially Control. But, on with my opinions.

    The story? Absolutely perfect if a little convoluted. I've had an absolute blast playing through this game, watching the episodes that play as you go through the game. The acting, in game AND in the live action episodes dispersed throughout the game, is absolutely phenomenal. Nothing oscar worthy, but for a video game spliced with a TV show (which is so effing unique, still don't understand how somebody could rate this negatively) it is way, way more than just adequate.

    The key point here that i'd like to help everyone appreciate, is that Remedy are innovating as far as story telling goes in video games. The "remedy expanded universe" is turning out to be one of the most interesting "universes" in media history. Alan wake, Quantum Break, Control. Each of these games in their own ways, are extremely unique. But they all share a universe, and that is the real draw. It sucks you in, and doesn't let go. Like i said, none of these games are "perfect", but this is meaningless when you consider the absolute fact that NOTHING in the video game industry is perfect. Not Mario 64, Zelda OOT, Golden Eye. NOTHING has ever achieved perfection, only in nostalgia do these games look perfect. Halo 3 is the closest i've seen a game come to being perfect, and even that isn't quite there. I digress.

    Quantum Break is the epitome of "Multi-Media", and i say Multi-Media quite literally. The spliced TV show is as entertaining as the game. I found myself enjoying the breaks from the frantic and fast paced gameplay. The 20 minute episodes move at a relentless pace and give exposition perfectly, if a little clumsily at times. The fact that these episodes make up almost 2 hours of the time you'll be spending with this game running on your machine is a unique thing in itself. I believe the only other games that really ask you to sit without having your hands involved in the story directly are the amazing efforts by the one and only Hideo Kojima. This game gives you the option, however. So if you don't fancy sitting around or aren't heavily invested in the story, you do have the option to skip. I'd recommend you don't. These episodes are extremely well made and largely entertaining overall.

    If you give this game and the "TV show" that comes with it a little of your time and attention, i guarantee you will end up hooked. It grabbed me and did not let go until the very end.

    Strong recommendation, 9.5/10. Ignore the negativity, give it a go. Once you have and if you enjoy it, i suggest you try out Control if you haven't. It's very much similar to this game.    … Expand

    its so sad that this game is being bashed, its a good game, not excellent not perfect but it really is a good game, i give it a 10 because the score should be at 8, thats what the game deserves, and an 8 is not bad, is good.

    Me ha gustado mucho, la historia es muy buena y combinada con las escenas de película te mantiene siempre atento. Los gráficos son excelentes y la jugabilidad también. Conforme avanza la trama vas adquiriendo habilidades que combinadas con las diferentes armas te dan un buen repertorio de posibilidades en combate.

    I honestly can't see why this game has a rating of under 80. It's amazing. It's been a while since the last good story-focused game. The gameplay is fun and it feels really good. The only negative is the performance drop from time to time, but otherwise it's pretty amazing.

    Amazing game, spent about 20 hours on my first run through. There is actually more content then I expected. So many things to read and observe to pull you further into the immersion of the game. I thought the balance between gameplay and cutscenes/episodes was good since i loved this game for the story and its concept rather then the shooting and killing (which is also awesome fun with theAmazing game, spent about 20 hours on my first run through.     This is one of the best games I've ever played. It offers a very good narrative-driven story mode, with really deep and interesting characters and a very nice setting. It really is a masterful piece of narrative, and its writing is just amazing.

    The game plays very good and the graphics are wonderful. It's just one of the best games this generation so far.

    I've already clocked about 4 hours into Quantum Break, and I am loving the ride so far. I didn't expect to like the TV show portion of the game, but I think it's absolutely fantastic. The acting, story, and writing are all top notch. And as good as the TV show is, the gameplay in Quantum Break is even better. The time-stopping mechanics are a blast, and they're handled very well. It’sI've already clocked about 4 hours into Quantum Break, and I am loving the ride so far. I didn't expect to like the TV show portion of the game, but I think it's absolutely fantastic. The acting, story, and writing are all top notch. And as good as the TV show is, the gameplay in Quantum Break is even better. The time-stopping mechanics are a blast, and they're handled very well. It’s especially fun to see individual raindrops freeze as you slow time down and run about disarming/killing a whole group of enemies.     My favorite thing about Quantum Break is that it isn't your typical video game. I love the fact that it is like playing through a television series as the lead character with a chose your own adventure element. Once I finish the game I can't wait to go back and make different decisions to see how things change.     Playing the game with no internet connection so I skipped the shows. Overal the game is on another level in terms of action. The story is very interesting aswell. Well done Remedy.

    Love this game. But its genre actually is interactive-move. There is not so much action, and it is very casual. There is 80% of story and cutscenes. So if you looking for gameplay it is not for you. The whole experience is close to Beyond Two Souls in my opinion.

    Es un juego con una excelente narrativa, si bien no es el mejor shooter, o mejor dicho, el juego con mejores mecánicas de disparos, cumple con su cometido de hacernos usar el tiempo. Sí bien la mecánica de disparos es algo monótona, QB tiene una trama con una serie que se equilibra de forma perfecta, contando una historia muy al estilo remedy. Un juego que se debe jugar.

    Cool story and the gameplay is fun and original. TV episodes go well with the gameplay. Graphics are the best I've seen this gen. The audio and the FX are like great when combined with the awesome gameplay. I wasn't prepared for a game this great but Remedy delivered!

    At first I had my doubts about this game, specially after reading some of the bad reviews , but finally I decided to give it a try and oh my this game is incredible, the shooting really reminds me of Max Payne and the story is good enough to keep you playing.

    This game is so awesome, the story as the strong of the game, graphics i cant need to say, its so beautiful!!

    Quantum break as the most amazing games i ever see in this generation.

    Amazing game. Spectacular. Story, screenplay, etc. are amazing. I don't remember another game like this one. If you read another note below 8 ignore it. It's a hater. QB is an incredible game. Every one should enjoy something like this.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a preliminary review as i have only completed the 1st act and watched episode 1 of the show but as it stands im very impressed with what i have played.

    The story is fairly fast paced once the time fracture happens (within the 1st 15 or so minutes in the game) and it keeps at a very steady pace throughout that first act which took me about 2 hours to complete, will probabily go faster for other people but i was reading and collecting things along the way.

    The mechanics are somewhat a little clunky and that's the best way i can describe them but it does not distract from the overall enjoyment of the game ( or at least the 1st act in my case).

    Graphically the game is amazing, how they captured the likeness of shawn ashmore, goes a long way in selling this story, his voice over is equally very good, although some people may find the story to be a bit cliche, i certainly have not, at least not yet anyway.

    The T.V episode that i have seen is very well put togeather and acted out very well, not really much i can say about the T.V side of things as it pertains the bad guys version of events throughout the game and i dont want to give out any major spoilers, at least not yet anyway.

    So overall i am very impressed with the game and i am tentatively giving it a 9 out of 10, this may change by the time i have finished the game.    … Expand

    tiene buenas escenas de acción, la serie es entretenida, dificultad es buena, el combate final, que me hizo repetirlo bastantes veces. Las escenas de acción estan bien llevadas, es divertido usar los poderes. En cuanto a gráficos, el juego es hermoso, y espectacular, cuando el tiempo se para o se utilizan los poderes o matas a un enemigo y lo ves flotando con los destellos de la explosióntiene buenas escenas de acción, la serie es entretenida, dificultad es buena, el combate final, que me hizo repetirlo bastantes veces. Las escenas de acción estan bien llevadas, es divertido usar los poderes. En cuanto a gráficos, el juego es hermoso, y espectacular, cuando el tiempo se para o se utilizan los poderes o matas a un enemigo y lo ves flotando con los destellos de la explosión o de los disparos, la iluminación siempre está bien cuidada. Otra cosa de la que me he percatado es que cada capítulo nuevo se ve mejor que el anterior, imagino que igual está hecho aposta para ir sorprendiendo e ir sacando músculo gráfico conforme vas avanzando el juego. Es un poco tedioso tener que leer y escuchar los coleccionables y los textos , que hay muchos y aportan más bien poco, y hay otros que ayudan a entender la historia. Aplaudir a remedy por arriesgarse con un juego que mezcla serie real con videojuego con bastante acierto, aplaudirlo por darnos un juego de acción original, el uso de poderes, el parar el tiempo, etc...le insufla vida al juego. Eso sí ha de mejorar en los aspectos "no combates" del juego, la parte plataformera es anecdótica y no siempre responde bien. Para la próxima tienen que mejorar bastantes aspectos pero es innegable que arriesgan en hacer diferentes sus juegos , y creo que les salio genial, mi nota es entre un 9 y un 10… Expand

    This is a really good game! It has action & suspense. The time manipulation abilities are really cool. Great cast of actors & tied into a real tv show. Good choice of guns & good shooting mechanics. It has a good story as well. Overall I’d say it’s the 2nd best game by Remedy after Alan Wake & I think it’s way better than Control. I would definitely play it again & I highly recommend it!

    I was a little skeptical due to the divisive nature of reviews for this game. But so far it has turned out much better than I expected. I've completed the first 3 acts and I'm having a blast! I definitely recommend it to any xbox owner/ PC gamer!

    QB is a very immersive game with excellent game play. The acting is also very well executed and takes place in a highly detailed world.

    I am really enjoying the game and I marked my review a "10" only because I am trying to make up for haters giving it a "0" cuz reezuns.

    My real score for the game is an "8".

    There's few flaws about this game. Super production and music, flawless gameplay and tons of replay value. The waiting was worth our time. one of the few Xbone exclusives every gamer should play and enjoy to the fullest.

    Wow. What a big Sony children style reviews attack. You're such jealous? Yeah. No surprise. Sony has only gay exclusives like The Order so it's normal that they're jealous. QB is one of the best games this year but I hope so that Gears 4 will be even better :) Incredibly strong year for Xbox.

    I would prefer rate 8 as score but Ps4 fanboys are so idiot with their 0... Quantum Break has some minors defaults but play this game is a true experience. Moreover, i can also discover Alan Wake games now for free so don't hesitate ;)

    I've only played the first two chapters so far and all I can say is I'm immersed in the story. Fantastic attempt at bridging a solid cover shooter with live action episodes. Choices you make in-game determine what happens in the live-action story. Some fantastic actors involved and all round very polished.     On my second play through and I simply cannot get enough of this game! The combat is addictive and satisfying, the story takes the concept of time travel and injects it with a quality story and impressive acting.

    The T.V. show in-between acts is face paced and full of well executed action, it really fleshes out the characters you meet and makes you think twice about your choices.     The set pieces in this game are both incredible and breath taking. One particular piece sees a large harbour ship drop from a crane onto the player as they franticly dodge and weave through the destruction.
    Enemies in the game are highly intelligent and will actively attempt to flank you in groups or by themselves depending on their role.
    The aiming can feel a little bit off at the beginning of the game but a drop to 40% sensitivity sorts it all out.
    Puzzles in the game are unique and require you to use your time powers in a different way to combat. Reversing time in areas and speeding through collapsing roof tops are just a few examples.

    The visuals in the game are top-notch. Particle effects dance around the screen after every bullet, time power and explosion.

    This game is a must buy for any Xbox One or Pc player. Well done Remedy for crafting such a brilliant game and thank you Microsoft for investing in such a risky endeavour. It paid off : )    … Expand

    This game is SPECTACULAR! The game is a stunner from a technological standpoint. I don't understand the negative media reviews. My only disappointment is that the game has to end. Awesome game! If you love cinema this is an opus to cinema and pulling it off from a technological stand point is amazing.

    Wonderful storytelling. Great acting and graphics (better than Witcher 3). Not the game for those who just want to shoot and run. If you're like me and enjoy a thrilling story and some high level science fiction, this game is for you.

    This game is amazing pulsating action ready to blast you away. An action adventure game with third person shooter characteristics and time bending abilities. Quantum Break is very unique with a great story and a very fresh take on the telling of said story. I find it to be a must play for any serious Xbox/PC gamer.

    Probably the best game on this generation of console , fresh and not casual. Remedy is sinonim of quality. The graphics are georgous , and the gameplay as well. The tv serie is a good combination to understand the story of all the,characters who's apear on the game.

    This game really hooked me to my Xbox One . The storyline is excellent . a Episodic series in a game was not a move I would recommend but in this case it worked out perfectly . This game is highly enjoyable . Using Jack Joyce's powers are so fun and addictive . Good graphics but most credit goes to the enjoyable gamepay

    Great game. Grapichs are awesome. History is amazing.
    Remedy gives us a rich game.
    Can´t understand why these sonyboys come to Metacritic with the only goal of hating the game and giving it a bad score.
    Shame on these people, and shame on metacritic for allow such thing to happen. What was once an amazing tool became a real pain.

    I honestly can't see why this game has a rating of under 80. It's amazing. It's been a while since the last good story-focused game. The gameplay is fun and it feels really good. The only negative is the performance drop from time to time, but otherwise it's pretty amazing.

    Stunning graphics & top notch acting (Never trust Littlefinger) mixed in a solid third person cover shooter.
    This is what I expected, this is what I got.
    Well done, Remedy. This is truly a little masterpiece for every player that enjoys a damn good campaign.

    Excelente jogo, narrativa muito bem feita, já estou horas e curtindo por demais o jogo... me impressiona os fanboys degladiando nas avaliações do jogo, dando até nota 0, entra no perfil deu 10 pra SF, Infamous e todo jogo do xbox dá 0... igualmente fazem os sites fanboys, chega a dar nojo esse tipo de coisa.

    Story is short, but never boring. Was skeptical of the live action scenes but they work well and aren't cheesy.

    Muy buen juego, la historia es interesante y muy bien contada, se complementa bien con la serie. En cuanto a la jugabilidad las mecánicas si bien no son revolucionarias aparecen como interesantes y dan buenas opciones para combinar movimientos lo que le da un poco mas de dinamismo a un juego en que la historia y su forma de contarla son su fuerte.

It is a game that appears on the horizon very occasionally and the real players have the opportunity to enjoy thanks to a developer who cares as Remedy detail to the maximum requirement.

    Not only is the an gaming experience unlike any other, it's the first game to give me confidence in next gen gaming. As for the douchies giving this game a bad score, all you need to do is look at their review history and see that most of them play only Ps4 games so they obviously have not played QB. MC should be ashamed that they allow these reviews to factor in the average.

The time effects and physics are some of the coolest things I have seen in all of videogames in terms of graphics, even with Xbox One resolution/framerates.     Quantum Break is an incredible game that will hook you for its ten hour duration and stay with you long after that. The story is packed with mystery, suspense, and engaging characters caught in a high stakes situation where every decision is significant. While adding TV show may not have revolutionized storytelling, Quantum Break is a must play game for those looking to sink their teeth into a meaningful adventure.

    Quantum Break is a bad movie, but a really good game. It did not convince me with its poor (and poorly told) story and characters that I did not care about at all, but as a shooter it is really enjoyable and creative. [05/2016, p.38]
