    A balanced mixture of live-action entertainment and gameplay make Quantum Break a perfect example of an unique game with revolutionary direction. With its amazing story, innovative mechanics and impressive graphics, it is a game that deserves to be experienced by every Xbox One owner.

With its amazing story, innovative mechanics and impressive graphics, it is a game that deserves to be experienced by every Xbox One owner.

    The way in which narrative is presented, using traditional cutscenes and a live-action TV series that is affected by the choices you take throughout the game, is something that has never been seen before in any game of any genre. While the TV series is not necessary to understand the main story of the game, it complements it greatly by deepening on the characters and providing additional information that will allow a better understanding of Quantum Break. The story is absolutely fantastic and intriguing, capable of keeping anyone hooked, as the pace is excellent, and combined with its stunning visuals, it will leave the player wanting more all the way through the end.

    The gameplay is also good, there’s enough enemy variety, and it's clear Remedy Entertainment knew how to take advantage of the time-controlling aspect of the game to make its mechanics feel fresh. There’s not a lot of weapon variety, which may result in a more null experience. However, the character special abilities do make up for that.

    Quantum Break is a game that deserves a lot more recognition and I personally hope that Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment analyze the possibility of developing a sequel, as this is one of the new Xbox exclusive franchises with the most potential out there. This is a must-play title for those that love excellent storytelling and fun gameplay.    … Expand

    The good: Enveloping story, an argument that catches you at first. Facial capture and movement very well achieved. Very high level face capture. Physics and trajectories of sublime captured objects (it is a total visual impact). In chrono and temporal fracture events, the amount of particles and rendering effects are impressive.     The good:
    Enveloping story, an argument that catches you at first. Facial capture and movement very well achieved. Very high level face capture. Physics and trajectories of sublime captured objects (it is a total visual impact). In chrono and temporal fracture events, the amount of particles and rendering effects are impressive. Difficulty selector (personally I recommend playing it in difficult). The shootings are satisfactory. Ability to improve powers. The AI ​​of the special forces is very advanced, raising strategies, flanking you and forcing you out of coverage. Monarch agents escalate in danger and lethality as the game progresses even generating countermeasures to stop you and creating devices to stop you as annulment devices and chronon grenades that counteract your powers to stop you giving you a lot of challenge and allowing you to be creative and at the same time cautious with your abilities. Many collectibles and the timeline lets you know where one has gone. The patch X of improvement 4K leaves you with the square mouth (this is one of the games that you must play if or if on an Xbox One X and already if you can on a TV4K). "Easy" achievements. It is in Game Pass. Do not miss the series or the temporary events that you can modify in the series and the video game and vice versa.

    The bad:
    Short game, leaves you wanting more. The game-series experiment may not like many. The variety of weapons is poor. The AI, however advanced, shouts orders revealing its location and revealing its next movement, which allows you to anticipate its intentions. This game takes the Xbox One Fat to the limit and in the events of temporary fracture crasheaba, the same in poorly optimized PCS. The music is forgettable.     There are people who praise Dath Stranding because his background and story is told in mails ... here too many things you find out by mail.
    There is a “press” that hit this game with the washbasin because of the resolution when it came into play and when the patch X of improvement in 4K came out they did not have the courage to change the score
    You have to laugh at the useless people who say they will “watch the series on YouTube, on the outside or skip it” since they will miss part of the story, events and relationships (things you do in the game affect the series and the series counts and passes while you are in the events of the juice), you can skip the series and play without guilt but you cannot watch the series without playing the game because there are things and decisions that affect the series and the events of the game. If you are thinking of doing a formal second part (not Control) to get us out of doubt of the Cliffhanger in which it ends or "the new Monarch".

    The game is similar to The Last of Us in that it tells a beautiful story while using the tools of a great shooter. In a game where the premise is saving the world from the end of time, the team pulled no punches in giving you some amazing time based powerups that were a lot of fun! The visuals were absolutely stunning, and the integration of the live-action episodes was done perfectly!     This is an incredible game, with a very interesting story and full of action. It is one of those games that inexplicably has not received the credit it deserves, despite its high quality and refined work. I strongly recommend you to play it, and you'll see how its story hooks you up from the first moment.

    Sinceramente, sempre achei interessante a ideia deste jogo, e sempre tive curiosidade de poder experimentar as suas novas ideias em gameplay, depois de anos, finalmente testei e não me decepcionei, um grande jogo.

    Buen trabajo, un juego realmente envolvente en todos los sentidos si te gustan las historias bien narradas. Literalmente participas en una película que te lleva a al borde de la destrucción universal... Muy ambiciosos y para un tema tal, bien manejado. Mis ovaciones remedy!!

    This game is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. There are very long extended cut scenes between each chapter which you will either love or hate. Gameplay is nothing special either, but for me, the whole package hit just right. I loved the story and the intriguing characters and couldn't wait to find out how all the chapters interlinked in the overall time-line of the story.     the perfect combination of sci fi and RPG elements, Shawn Ashmore brings Jack Joyce to life in this experiment gone wrong. many upgrades for yourself, different types of weapons to choose and or pick up from killed enemies. story is split up into 5 different acts then eventually taking control of the antagonist for a bit. great ending to an underrated game.

До сих пор вспоминаю с теплотой эти прекрасные мгновения первого прохождения этого шедевра, тогда это было очень круто. Сейчас уже так не будет конечно. Для «сейчас» же ремедийцы совсем недавно запилилиФинны из Remedy лично мною ребята очень уважаемые. Max Payne в начале 2000ых был игрой абсолютно невероятной и можно сказать она совершенно изменила моё лично восприятие компьютерных игр. До сих пор вспоминаю с теплотой эти прекрасные мгновения первого прохождения этого шедевра, тогда это было очень круто. Сейчас уже так не будет конечно. Для «сейчас» же ремедийцы совсем недавно запилили весьма крепкий научно-фантастический шутер от третьего лица Control. Ждем с нетерпением очередных разборок с Бюро с уже приобретенными DLC. Серию Alan Wake я как-то совсем пропустил и не уверен, что стоит к ней возвращаться даже с учетом новоиспеченного ремастера. А вот Quantum Break, вышедший в 2016 году и ставший при этом эксклюзивом Xbox, при достаточно хороших отзывах пропускать совершенно не хотелось. Итак, Quantum Break это опять-таки научно-фантастический шутер от третьего лица, но в отличие от Control коридорного типа. Честно говоря, первые пару часов игры оставили неоднозначное впечатление. Вот казалось бы уже почти 6 лет прошло с момента выхода Quantum Break, а персонажи и некоторые текстурки до сих пор периодически слегка шлейфуют, нечасто и возможно не слишком очевидно, но всё же. В Control нечто подобное тоже припоминаю. Может это конечно фирменный стиль финнов? Более того изредка фризуют кинематогрофические сцены, в игре вроде бы ничего подобного к счастью замечено не было — всё летает без лагов. Эхххх, и вот это вот всё мелкое «безобразие» на флагманской Xbox Series Х?!?! Непорядок! Возможно конечно где-то оптимизацию не подтянули, так как всё же игра идет по обратной совмести от Xbox One. Ладно, это не сильно критично, но в глаза конечно бросилось и в случае с торможением картинки немного настроение-то подпортило. Касательно этих самых кинороликов, как раз с ними-то у нас и сложились первые сомнения по поводу уместности оных, ибо не много ни мало, но каждый из них после окончания игровой главы длится по минут 20. Первая катсцена пошла тяжеловато со смешанными чувствами, но в любом случае сразу для себя отметили достойное качество этих короткометражек и хорошую игру актеров. С каждым последующим мини-фильмом становилось всё интереснее, персонажи западали в душу и уже практически после второго киноролика стало очевидно, что сие новаторство работает и вызывает неподдельный интерес, тем более, что перед каждой катсценой мы, играя за главного антагониста выбираем один из двух путей. И в зависимости от нашего выбора мы смотрим соответствующий ролик. Даже немного жаль, что мы увидели по сути только половину материала, но главное, что слепили фильм мы сами. Геймплейно игра тоже постаралась выделиться из себеподобных и прежде всего за счет набора сверхспособностей нашего протагониста Джека Джойса.… Expand

    Das Game ist absolut GENIAL!     Das Game ist absolut GENIAL! Ich hätte ganz gerne 10 von 10 Punkten gegeben, aber manche Animationen und die Steuerung sind keine 10 Punkte "wert".

    Gameplay - 7/10
    Grafik - 9/10 -> Ich würde mir eine Series X|S Version wünschen.
    Serie/Live Action - 10/10

    Der geniale Punkt ist einfach die Story. Zeitreisen/Quantenphysik einfach geil und genau mein DING.

    Uprkos negativnim kritikama, meni se igra izuzetno svidela. Remedy je uradio sjajan posao. Prijao mi je mix tv serije i igre. Posle svakog chapter-a ide epizoda serije koja je sasvim solidna. Mehanika i gejmplej su unikatni i dobro odrađeni. Vizuelno igra izgleda dosta lepo. Napucavanje je standardno odlično za Remedy. Priča je dosta dobra i zanimljiva.    … Expand

    ich habe mir extra für dieses Spiel letzten Monat eine xbox One für 40€® gekauft und das hat sich absolut gelohnt, das Spiel ist wie von Remedy gelohnt ein wirklich extrem gelungenes Spiel, das Gunplay macht extrem viel Spaß, die ganzen Zeitkräfte sind sehr gut integriert und auch die Grafik ist für das Jahr 2016 sehr gelungen, die 4 Episoden, die mit echten Schauspielern, wie zum Beispielich habe mir extra für dieses Spiel letzten Monat eine xbox One für 40€® gekauft und das hat sich absolut gelohnt, das Spiel ist wie von Remedy gelohnt ein wirklich extrem gelungenes Spiel, das Gunplay macht extrem viel Spaß, die ganzen Zeitkräfte sind sehr gut integriert und auch die Grafik ist für das Jahr 2016 sehr gelungen, die 4 Episoden, die mit echten Schauspielern, wie zum Beispiel Aiden Gillen, den man aus Game Of Thrones kennen sollte, oder auch Giancarlo Esposito, der auch Gus Fing bei Breaking Bad spielt, oder aber auch Zoff Gideon in The Mandalorian inszeniert sind, sehen wirklich sehr git aus und passen wirklich gut in das Spiel, wer von euch eine Xbox One besitzen sollte, für den ist das hier ein absoluter Pflichtkauf, ich würde sogar einen Schritt weiter gehen und sagen, das ich Quantum Break sogar noch vor Control und Max Payne 3 einordnen würde und das wirklich was zu bedeuten, weil ich diese Spiele wirklich sehr gerne mag, Quantum Break ist wirklich ein absolut gelungenes Spiel und wie gesagt für jeden Xbox One Besitzer ein Musst-Play, wirklich richtig gut.

    Quantum Break is the game, that I bought Xbox One for! Fun super-hero shooting game, great visuals, cool separated chapters and movie idea. Although there is some a little difficult gameplay situations for casual player, but not critical.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A really good linear game. The way it split the whole game into acts and parts make the timeline easier to understand. I read all the documents I collect after finishing every part, and that really add some details into the characters and made me understand the game better. The only bummer I would say is the final boss fight is not designed well at least from my point of view.… Expand

    Great looking, enjoyable, slightly campy scifi romp. Excellent combat however I could see disliking it if you try and play it like a cover shooter. The collectibles are really good and I'll bet mostly overlooked since they are all text.

But i will not also give it 10 to create a "balance" i'm just being honest. I believe this game is a solid 8, just because of the same issue alan wake had back then!

    They promised us a 11/10 game, take for example cyberpunk and all the absurd hype    I don't think that 7.2 is a fair average user score for this game, since I have played far more broken and worse games with higher ratings!     Simply put. What the game promises most, it delivers, some key areas are a wasted potential, but the story, graphics, gameplay and the acting are top notch!

    A game must be fun, you may not find this game fun, but is even harder to find it tedious, because boredom is something you'll not find here!

I enjoyed it alot more than I thought I would and after having just finished Uncharted 4 (which was boring me to death) Quantum Break was a breath of fresh air. Jack Joyce's abilities are insanely overpowered but the game is all the more fun for it. The TV episodes are passable but nothing to get excited about.A stylish action game with amazing graphics and core gun play mechanics.     After playing and LOVING Alan Wake and Max Payne I had high hopes for this game. The acting is good to very good and the writing, while decent, is not the same caliber as previous games. The lore in the game    Quantum Break is a good game but not a great game. Since it was being developed by Remedy and Sam Lake at the helm, I was hoping for it to be great. Sadly its just a good game.

    After playing and LOVING Alan Wake and Max Payne I had high hopes for this game. The acting is good to very good and the writing, while decent, is not the same caliber as previous games. The lore in the game is conveyed by optional content and its actually FRUSTRATINGLY uneven - some passages are LONG while others are very short - and most of it would have been better conveyed through some sort of cut scene. However with the live action sections taking up 75.4 GB and being streamed I can understand why some of this became wall of text exposition instead of a cut scene.

    The game is moderate length (10 to 12 hours depending on how much you explore) but shorter than I had hoped. The game play is decent but not really all that innovative.

    Graphics, music and sound are top notch and the story is engaging, but not as well done as previous Remedy projects.

    Overall its a good game and although I am really irritated with the final boss battle, it is well made but the replay value is low for me. This is a game that is worth playing but I would say, if you haven't bought it already, to wait for it to go on sale - unless you really need something to fill in the last gaps before Uncharted 4 and Dark Souls 3.    … Expand

The story here is fantastic and reminded me a lot of life is strange meets jason Bourne and is thoroughly gripping and immersive. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on the Xbox one and the effects are phenomenal. The story is confusing at first but starts to make a lot more sense with each Playthrough which is a good thing because everytime I played I learned something new that I didn't catch my first time around. The story also changes but it all leads to the same confusion. You see, this game is a strange one as you get to play the hero, Jack Joyce as he shoots his way to the truth and the villain, who I won't spoil, chooses what to do with loose ends and such. It's entirely up to the player to decide what the bad guy decides and the story changes depending on your choices, which alters what happens in the tv show. Yes there is a show in the game which is actually pretty good and focuses more on the evil monarch corporation. Each episode of the show is thirty minutes and there are four episodes throughout the game. The only complaint I have here really is the limited gameplay. Not counting the tv episodes, the game took me about 5 or 6 hours to complete. The show equals together about 2 hours altogether. It's a pretty short game and as good and fun as it can be its just not worth the $60 asking price. Don't get me wrong it's a GREAT game and I hope it becomes a potential new series for remedy to work with but it just doesn't have much lasting appeal. I rate this game an 8/10.     Besides star-power and an interesting time-related gimmick along the lines of something out of 2010’s Singularity, Quantum Break is interesting in other ways as well. For one, it is both a live-action television show and a video game, each part intermingled with the other in an intricate yet optional playable and watchable experience. This is really where the acting credits come in handy and where the story and lore progress deeper than they could in the base third-person action-shooter game itself. The story itself as well as the fluidity of gameplay mechanics are certainly the highlights and have been praised by other critics as such, however some of the other mechanics such as platforming and general locomotion are a bit messier.

    Although it is intrinsically a shooter game and these typically don’t have much to offer in the way of a story, Quantum Break’s plot is fairly refreshing and interesting, not just for the genre but for gaming as a whole. It does admittedly share similarities to some other time traveling adventures but then that exists only because many of the same issues that have always been theorized regarding time travel exist in this incarnation as well of course. One unique mechanic the game features is the built-in ability to essentially decide how the protagonist and antagonist will act and how that will shape the course of the plot itself. The game does a good job of representing Aidan Gillan’s (of course) chaotic character as neither good nor bad and sets him up as a definitely complicated antagonist that largely acts according to how protagonist Jack Joyce (Shawn Ashmore) reacts to…well it’s all really spoiler-ish and confusing so I’ll stop there.

    When all things are said and done, Quantum Break should be and is an interesting new direction for Microsoft because it presents an original playing field with many talented actors and an intriguing yet potentially well-written and already closed script as well. Although I could see how the game could become a series, it also offers a thoroughly satisfying experience and conclusion which means it could be one of those highly praised cult-classic one-off games some day soon. There’s room for improvement and also some room for upgrading the story to be a little less linear and yet with all the background details and lore and episodic live-action pieces included it really is a pretty complete bundle. I’d like to not only hear or see more about the universe- not even in video games but perhaps through other mediums such as comics or novels, but also just see how similar elements that worked well in this game could be implemented into others successfully as well.

    Remedy Entertainment is well known and well-praised for their work on some unique cult-classics and projects such as all things Alan Wake. Although many people would like to see Alan Wake 2 (in earnest) or see them take the helm on other ambitious and interesting projects, I also think working on Quantum Break was the right call and that they really nailed the tone and pacing they were aiming for. Sam Lake (who you may also know for producing stories in relation to Max Payne 1 and 2 as well as Alan Wake and a credit in Gravity) couldn’t have been a better fit for directing the effort and for managing the elements that would eventually come together to form a brave new live-action meets interactive adventure and game trope. Honestly, I’m a little disappointed that nobody else has started to implement the themes yet into their own development projects quite yet.

    For me, Quantum Break exists somewhere in the 8-9 range in terms of assigning an actual number to it, if that were even possible. It does so many things well despite what could’ve ultimately ended up as an otherwise generic shooter like so many others out there. The story is both original and actually engaging, with memorable characters and talented actors truly bringing it to life and making me actually feel invested in the moment to moment action. Whether it was actually taking the time to watch each lengthy episode or play through the intermingled game portions, the entire package as a whole is a unique and lovable experience. I’ve been truly interested in some of the theories and lore ever since and would definitely love to see the brand used elsewhere even if it never comes back to gaming- it’s too much of an interesting tale to not take advantage of.    … Expand

    Pic quality hits a few rough parts but by and large is excellent.

    While I can't remember the last game I played that was under 20 hours, I was less disappointed than I thought I would be, because.....

    The true strength of this game is the storytelling....dear lord I found this amazing. All the characters were extremely well fleshed out, to the point I can't think of a game that comes close.     The gameplay is quick, and snappy, with the time powers really making you feel like a boss, and as you Learn new skills, you begin to learn new ways around the combat. Although the shooting mechanics, and cover system are average, they work fine in tandem with the time power mechanics. on top of this is the fact that throughout the levels is notes, and audio-logs that add to the story, however i wished that some of the more important stuff was left to the cut-scenes/show. The one big disappointment was the boss battle, which felt tacked on and was poorly designed,

    The graphics were pleasant, with this being a smooth looking game, with no noticeable frame rate drops, or bugs, at-least in my experience.

    Overall i feel as though Quantum Break is a great game that gets a lot right, and all while taking a big risk merging TV with video games. and i feel as though it was a success.    … Expand

    After my second playthrough, I truly respect the production value of this game. The plot is really strong. The choice optionscare awesome. The graphics are superb. The gameplay is very fun. After making different choices the second time, I also noticed the real time movie plays differently. Great job microsoft.

I mean people are really stupid. 0 -40 is how you rate a game like "Ride to Hell" or "Rambo" not a game that was developed for many years with lots of effort and passion. I must say that I'm more of a PS4 gamer myself but come the **** on people. This deserves at least a strong 8 or more.

    Game is definitely worth a try, great story. Its a little on the short side and I'll pass on the b grade movie cutscenes next time around but overall totally satisfied with the experience

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Quantum Break is an absolutely fun game. Lots of explosions, excellent story telling, and some okay time travel puzzles. But overall it is an excellent game.

    The story takes place when are main protagonist "Jack Joyce" has these powers that manipulate time and his best friend "Paul Serene" has turned against him and has seen the end of time. 17 years into the future and Paul has created this "Monarch Industries" too stop Jack from his time saving plan.

    After each act of the story you get a live action segment and overall they aren't bad and corny. Compared to "Need For Speed", Quantum Break's Live Action FMVs are more serious and less corny. They also the cutscenes that show your end of the game. Choices in this game where very difficult too choose from.

    There are also a variety of enemies including normal average joe grunts to guys who have giant f***ing shields, that can travel through the time fractures, and have rocket launchers.

    However there are also other bad things about this game. The number one complaint I have about this game is the checkpoint system is terrible. When you die, you may get sent too almost an entire section that you already completed. Another bad this is the FMVs are streamed. Meaning that if you have a bad internet connection you'll experience buffering problems. Another more thing that bothers me is the real time cutscenes are not skippable. And another final thing is the puzzles. These only show once or twice and they aren't all that fun.

    Best looking Nissan commercial yet. I can understand the use of Windows Phone placement in the game but the Nissan vehicles and ads and car chase scenes results in too much in-game advertising
    Confusing controls and unnecessary profanity mars an otherwise entertaining game.

    Předem musím říci, že Quantum Break je velice klasická hra. Je zaměřená na čistý prožitek z příběhu. Nejde o nějaké pískoviště, kde je cílem ji rychle prolétnout a dostat se třeba do End Game a tam trávit stovky hodin. Hra je to relativně krátká, ale o to intenzivnější. Já stále zastávám názor, že spousta filmů nezvládá udržet zajímavý děj na dvě hodiny, a přitom po hrách by se chtěli desítky hodin.

    Quantum Break je totiž výstavní skříní toho, jak Remedy umí vyprávět své příběhy. Už Alan Wake byl něco skvělého a tady vás čeká to samé. Nebudu prozrazovat detaily, protože to bych zbytečně kradl zážitky. Vězte, že vše se točí kolem dvou bratrů - jeden rebel a jeden vědec. Vědci se podařilo postavit stroj času a díky chamtivosti jednoho jejich známého se přihodila nehoda. Ta nehoda má na svědomí, že čas se rozpadá a brzo skončí. A role pokusit se spasit svět, zjistit co má za lubem podivná korporace Monarch a zastavit vašeho kamaráda, padne překvapivě na nás - toho druhého bratra, který do všeho promluvil podivnou cestou osudu.

    A byl to vlastně osud nebo je vše už dopředu dané? Tohle budou nejčastější otázky, které vám bude hra pokládat. Příběh se postupně zamotává a rozmotává, aby vás zase trošku tahal za nos, ale na konci to do sebe krásně zapadne. Očekávejte pocit "a jó vlastně" nebo "no sakra". To vše při udržení všech paradoxů, které jsou spojené s cestováním časem, na uzdě. Tedy alespoň dle mého názoru se s

    Konečně bych se asi měl vrátit k tomu, proč by hra měla být dle slov autorů "revoluční". Tím samozřejmě narážejí na dva podstatné prvky, které ji odlišují od ostatních. Hra se skládá z kapitol daných do Actů. Jsou to standardní herní levely, kdy hrajete hru a probíhají některé videosekvence v enginu hry. Po konci každého Actu následuje tzv. Junction. Ta vás posazuje do role hlavního záporáka a musíte udělat rozhodnutí, které dále rozvětví a výrazně ovlivní příběh do budoucna. Poté následuje Episode a to je asi nejspecifičtější věc. Jedná se totiž o hraný seriál ve standardní seriálové délce.

    A ten seriál rozhodně není nějaké Céčko, ale HBO kvalita to také není. V rámci možností jej beru jako povedený. Obsazení je stejné jako postavy ve hře a nejsou to úplně neznámé herecké tváře. Lance Reddick, který zářil v seriálu Fringe. Dominic Monaghan známý z LOST nebo Pána Prstenů. Titulní Shawn Ashmore je trošku těžší zařadit, ale hrál třeba v X-Men postavu Icemana. Zbytek osazenstva je ze seriálových vod a charisma jim nechybí. Nesmím také zapomenout zmínit, že jednu z hlavních rolí v seriálu mají produkty Microsoftu. Tak dlouhé záběry na to, aby si každý všiml, že postava drží v ruce Surface, působí někdy až parodicky.

    Klik pro zvětšení (Quantum Break - recenze)

    Samotný děj seriálu jede na první pohled trošku vedlejší dějovou linku s hrou, ale brzo zjistíte, jak se vzájemně doplňují. A tady shledávám menší rozpor. Sice tvůrci říkají, že lze seriál kdykoliv přeskočit a shlédnout dodatečně. Ale zároveň bez něj je hra samotná taková nekompletní. Nedovedu si představit seriál přeskákat a odehrát jen herní část při prvním průchodu hrou. Problém je, že hrajete a hrajete, je půl dvanácté a víte, že vstáváte brzo. U běžné hry byste si dali ještě čtvrt hodinku a vypnuli ji. Jenže teď na vás čeká seriál, přeskočit ho nechcete, ale víte, že když ho dáte celý, tak budete ráno trpět.

    Tohle rozsekávání pozornosti mezi hrou a seriálem není příjemné. Člověk si najde pěkné herní tempo a najednou bum - na tři čtvrtě hodiny pauza jen koukání. Asi by to u nějakého pomalého "kecacího" RPG problém zas takový nebyl, série MGS je tím vlastně pověstná. Ale když už se v Quantum Break rozjedete v akčních sekvencích, tak se vám vůbec nechce přestávat. Hratelnost totiž exceluje.

    Jak asi tušíte z předchozích slov, tak toho gameplaye se mi zdá ve hře trošku málo. Anebo se snad ani nedá říci málo, ale spíše že bych chtěl víc a víc a víc. Nevím, jak to v Remedy dělají, ale jejich akční sekvence jsou prostě boží. Cítím tam určité kouzlo toho, když jsem se proháněl v Bullet Timu v prvním Maxovi. A zároveň mi tam občas problikne Alan se svou „baterkovou“ taktikou na nepřátele. Jen tady je to jiné a přece podobné.

    Hra totiž používá několik věcí, které dohromady fungují kouzelně. Konzolový auto-aim není moc silný a první přestřelky si budete muset hodně přivykat jeho stylu. Nepevný krycí systém, kdy se postava prostě skrčí za překážku sama, ale není na ní přil    … Expand

You have to play smartly. Cons: like most other people, I thought you got all of your powers way too early. It makes the fights later on tedious and feel too familiar. The graphics, while most of the time looking awesome, can sometimes just look weird, but that might just be me. The last thing is that I feel it was a tad short, but still worth it to me. It was roughly around 6-7 hours. Overall, like I put above, I'd give this an 8. It's not a console seller, but I want it in my xbox collection. The graphics made me squeak a bit, even though I'm a scrub that plays on a 1080i television screen, with awesome animations, immense attention to detail, and creative, beautiful set pieces.

    I won't go too in-depth on the story, so you can experience it for yourself, but it was really well done! Creative, well thought-out, good dialogue, the whole shebang. All of those are only strengthened by the performances, especially on the part of Shawn Ashmore. I liked how they used the Novikov self-consistency principle (I'm a theoretical physics major) to explain how the story, while seemingly branching out to what could have been different outcomes, eventually all have the same ending. (The principle states that, in simple terms, if someone were to travel back in time, 'history' would find a way to keep the future on track, and keep the same outcome, even if there are slight variations along the way). I like it when developers have reasons for their choices, even if it was to allow them to limit the story.

Graphics is excellent to see when the time stop in stasis. Unfortunately game is short and you have to read too many information in collectables.

    I bough this game on sale this easter fo 20$.Money well spent.This game is actually really good,the combat and story are good, made me finish it really fast cause I could not stop playing. Combat is actually really good and fun and because the game is not very long it does not get repetitive.Story is also pretty cool.The live action episode between acts are meh to decent.Overall a good game!

Although this game tires my brain from all the different perspectives, it combines many elements to convey the game's story and it really impresses me how much effort (and money) was put into this and it delivered my expectations.     Quantum Break is an action-adventure science fiction third-person shooter video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Microsoft Studios. The game features Jack Joyce, the main protagonist, trying to stop Paul Serene, a close friend and Monarch Solutions CEO, from enforcing the End of Time after a failed time-machine experiment, which gives Jack time manipulation powers.

    Due to miscalculations by Paul Serene, a time travel experiment goes wrong. Doused in chronon radiation, the material that makes time travel possible, protagonist Jack Joyce and antagonist Paul Serene are granted time-based abilities. Both can freeze time and move at higher speeds, whilst a higher dose of chronons means Serene can see into the future to decide which choices to make in the present. Additionally, the collapse of the machine damages the structure of time, causing a “fracture” that means it sporadically freezes for all without time-travel abilities or the correct equipment. Joyce and his ally, Beth Wilder are pursued by Monarch Solutions, a corporation founded by Serene. The game enforces the rule that time travel cannot be used to alter the past.

    Throughout the game you’ll hit “junction points” between acts, these serve as sections in which you’ll make choices that will not only affect the state of the game but the direction of the integrated live-action TV show as well. The show features the actual actors of the characters, interacting with the player’s choices, displaying the outcome of the choices made.

    Players can use a variety of firearms, as well as their time-manipulating powers to defeat enemies in the game. Joyce can stop time temporarily, allowing him to escape from attacks or freeze enemies, unleash a “Time Blast”, which is an offensive projectile, and reverse the direction of bullets.

    Quantum Break is quite possibly the most unique console video game experience on the market at the moment. Not only is it visually impressive but it’s unlike anything I’ve seen before in terms of the effects used throughout. Witnessing time bend, stutter and stop around you creates an environment like no other.

    The motion capture used and the actors performances is as well done as you could possibly hope for.

    Remedy Entertainment are masters at creating a compelling narrative and with this game, that hasn’t changed. The story is dramatic yet thrilling in all the ways a game about time travel should be. When dealing with time travel, you leave yourself open to potential plot errors and while there are many twists and turns along the way, thankfully it’s executed with a lot of thought and care. You’re introduced to a number of different characters and while some get much more screen time than others, I enjoyed each of their individual storylines.

    One of the most commonly asked questions about Quantum Break isn’t about the game itself, it’s about the TV show and whether it’s any good or not. The show is split into 4 episodes which are each roughly 20 minutes long so it’s not too long overall unfortunately. I enjoyed the show, it has high production value and all the actors involved give decent performances. The ways in which it’s integrated with the game is what is truly special here and it’s achieved with fine precision. While the choices you make are limited, they make a noticeable impact on the game and show which is satisfying. I think what is truly disappointing is that none of the choices you make leaving any impact on the final outcome; it leaves your decisions feeling fairly pointless ultimately. Still, I’d definitely be up for more games using this interesting format in the future.

    While I do think you’re given access to all of your abilities way too quickly in the game, it’s exciting to be let loose on the battlefield with them at your disposal. It’s extremely responsive, reacting to your every move in exactly the way you want it to. One of my major concerns about the game was difficultly, how can you be given such power and still make it a challenge. Honestly I would go as far to say that it has one of the best story driven narrative games of all time. The story has a very tight narrative plot so there are very few to no plot holes throughout the story. The live action TV series, that revolves around the decisions you make in the game is a really unique experience, but I wish they would’ve focused on the main characters more so than focus a secondary narrative, but all comes together towards the end. The gameplay is very unique and I can see where people are on the fence about the quality and time, that felt lacking on the gameplay side of the game. Quantum Break is unique, because of “super-natural” powers that the main character acquires very early into the game. Yes, the super natural mechanic works very well, but I wished they would flushed it out to a greater extent, because the gunplay itself is very generic and feels like a AA then a AAA title to that extent and could have benefited from a convential cover system like gears of war. The pace of the game is okay at best, because a lot of the narrative is hidden within the games collectibles, which are scattered all over the game like Halloween candy. Yes, I love reading all the of the insights about the games characters, because it gave them more depth and complexity. The main problem is that these logs kill the pacing of the game, because I felt obligated to read these logs and some of them contained 3-4 paragraphs of information and since most of the collectibles are typically in close promixty to one another or 2-3 per area the pacing gets really slowed down. Yes you can ignore the collectibles all together but after reading a majoirity of the collectibles I wouldve given this game a lower rating because the story may be considered lack luster. So all in all the game is very unique and provides a very compelling story. The main gripes I have are the repetiive combat scenarios and generic shooting mechanics. The story could of been told in a tighter package but I would definitely reccomend this game to anyone that is looking for a very unique story. I look forward to replaying this game in the future and see how different decisions in the game effect the story as well as finding the rest of the very well thought out collectibles.… Expand

    I recently finished this game, for me it was a good game, good story and good gameplay. The series settle so good for the game with the series you can go deeper in the history. you need to read a lot to understand the history, its not a 10 game but i recommend it.

    I thought this is a very pleasant game, with innovative game play. Game play is followed by real film scenes with known actors. I thought it is very entertaining. The only minus is probably that the game is quite short, especially if you compare it what you pay for it. I would definitely recommend it.

Their are decisions you can make in the game but none of them seemed to really shift the dynamic of the overall game or make you feel like their is a consequence for choosing it.

    Show- The tv-show segment is obviously suffering from production value. The cast is great but some of the writing really kills the momentum that you created building up to these moments. The majority of the story is told through these segments and overall the story is great but gets convoluted near the end for no other reason then wanting it to be "edgy" as the ending of the game could of been created in a much more dynamic and ascertainable way.

    Overall a great game that does what it does very well, but is brought down by a poor implementation of a tv-show being used as the plot device.    … Expand

    The gameplay has some highs and lows. To start, the time powers are very fun to use. They give you them gradually throughout the game, and you can upgrade them with points you find in the game world. While that is fun, my main problem is the lack of enemy variety and weapons. There aren't even 10 guns, and all of them are standard. I would have liked more. The game could have also used another mode outside the story and possibly a new game plus with more upgrades, as once you beat the story that is really it.

    Lastly, the graphics are fantastic and the sound design is good, though nothing amazing.

    Overall a great game, though there are some flaws that Remedy could have fixed. I would recommend it though, especially with the price being lower now.    … Expand

    The story is complicated because its kind of two very different story arcs that are kind of pieced together by an overarching story. In case you're not familiar with this game, there is a gimmick with this game, it's not only a game but there is a mini TV series that goes along with the game. So the game is bouncing around from standard video game cutscenes, gameplay, and episodes from the TV show.

    The weird this is, the TV show and the game have two very different stories with not a lot of overlap. The main character in the game is Jack Joyce who is played by actor Shawn Ashmore but he barely shows up in the show. Some characters are only in the show and then there are a few that do show up in both. The main connector between the two is the main villain Paul Serene who is played by Aiden Gillen.

    It's a very strange concept that did a great job making me care about certain characters in the show but didn't accomplish the same thing with the game.

    Favorite Character?

    My favorite character is a guy who did not show up in the game much at all and was primarily in the TV show and that's Liam Burke. His story arc is a pretty common story arc where he is a guy that was in the military, came home and couldn't find work so he turned to the games evil corporation and worked for them doing some not so legal things. What makes his story so compelling is they do a decent job grounding him by him a backstory. He has a wife and his wife is pregnant so his motivations are driven by his family. He's just an easy character to cheer for.

    Are there puzzles and How are they?

    I'm trying to think and no, there really weren't any puzzles.

    What is the gameplay like and how does it feel?

    This is where the game itself is at its peak. The gameplay and combat are very solid. Its a third-person cover shooter but your character has some abilities that make the game fun. First off, although it is a cover shooter you need to keep moving so you're goal is to move from cover to cover.

    The first ability you learn, I can't remember the name of it but you throw out a time sphere type thing. Basically, time stops for anyone or anything in that time sphere so you should that at an enemy. They're frozen in time, then you shoot bullets at the enemy. When the bullets hit the time sphere, they stop in place and then after a few seconds when the time sphere dissipates the bullets instantly hit them and they're dead.

    The second ability you learn is a quick dash, I didn't use it too much because a little later on you learn a better ability.

    The third ability is like a shield. Basically, you hit a button and then you have a protective shield completely surrounding you so it blocks all bullets. It's very useful when you need to heal up.

    The fourth ability is a run dash. This you hold a button and as you're running time stops moving. So you're able to move from one area to another with little consequence.

    Between these 4 (really 3) abilities, it made the game a lot of fun. Once you develop a rhythm with the abilities and their cool downs, the game becomes a very fun combat arena.

    What is my favorite moment or sequence from the game?

    Nothing really comes to mind, it's a fun game but there aren't really any memorable set pieces.

    How are the missions/levels designed?

    The missions and levels are very linear. It reminds me of Uncharted where you start in an area you platform from area to area and occasionally there is a gun fight.

    How is the sound design and music?

    The voice acting is top notch, its very well done but they use a lot of recognizable actors.

    The music itself, I didn't notice it at all.

You develop time manipulation abilities after an accident that occurred in a science lab. Okay I’m really not selling the story let me just say it has some predictable moments in it but the story is very entertaining. The gaming sections that is. So you get to choose where they story goes while playing as Petyr Baelish. After you do so the game will cut into a 20 minute episode of a TV show about the side characters. This is where the game falls a little bit for me. While the choice you make does matter the outcome is still the same very Telltale in that way. Unlike Telltale this little nitpick actually fits in the story, but it makes one wonder why give you an option in the first place? The sad part about the TV show is that it feels like it should be on the CW. The actors are all these pretty late 20’s people who are all very smug in some way. You follow generic white protagonist who is trying to save his wife from the whole time collapsing on itself thing. There are only four episodes that occur which isn’t a huge deal and I honestly feel like this was a good idea that opened the game’s story a little bit. It also gave the villains more personality, and mystery over being just the bad guys. I do see people outright hating this game with the statement, “I paid for a game not a TV show”. As we know you can never please everyone. I enjoyed this story immensely and if you hated Life is Strange like me maybe check this story out it is way less teenage hipster like.

    The game looks beautiful, the characters truly look like their respected actors. It kind of make you laugh at the character model of actors in PS2 movie games. The freezing in time is such a great look with everything frozen in the air it creates an awe. The voice acting is wonderful I don’t think anyone does a bad performance in this, well Sean Ashmore has some cheesed up lines, but I can’t tell if that is his fault or the script he was given.

    The game is a third person action game with a cover mechanic. The saving grace for the game is time manipulation powers. You can freeze time, create a bubble shield, and run fast through time to punch the **** out of some soldier. The Monarch villains (I couldn’t help but to think of The Venture Bros every time they say Monarch) vary throughout the game every act they will introduce a new baddy keeping the game fresh. The game short enough to never get boring or repetitive. It is about a 8-9 hour game. The bad parts of the game are few but leave a smear on it. The final boss fight is just annoying and almost made me rage quit. This is a personal preference of mine being that I hate fighting bosses while goons are trying to kill me. The second which is a big one is the game is buggy. I had enemies freeze on me to the point I only could kill them with a takedown. I had the game lock up on me twice, and the frame rate dipped on me a couple of times.

    Overall the game is super fun with a super hero feel without all that hero jazz. The main character may be a mass killing maniac with a one track mind, but he is still likeable as **** The gameplay is fun and interesting mixing Gears of War with Infamous. The bugs are few but glaring, yet they may be fixed later on. Last the show that is skippable isn’t the best but it has quite a bit of character development for the villains. I give this game a 4/5. I high recommend you buy this and hold it over the heads of your Sony friends, and let your PC friends tell you how much better it is on PC because it is what they do.     Story is great, acting is brilliant and i can't imagine to do this better. Gameplay is just fine thanks to the game lenght which is like 12-15 hours including game based show but i think it could be done better. The best part of experience is the plot, and discovering what will happen next. WHY THE @#$%@#$%@#$% would any high action point where you're likely to die spawn you back before a cut scene, followed by a pinwheeling hourglass to get back into the action...super anticlimactic and annoying if you find a part takes you a few tries...my first Juggernaut took me roughly 8 tries on hard, and I got stuck watching the cut-scene or wasting just as much time watching an hourglass every time...90 seconds + to get back into the action is a total waste of time, and breaks up a gamer's rhythm. There are other points that have similar annoyances, IE the garage shortly thereafter spawning you in the middle of the garage, requiring you to enter the control room, shut off the alarm, listen to the communication, and then re-enter the action as you leave the room....Why not spawn inside the room and ready to exit?!?!?!?

    All in all, it was an amazing game and a very original conceptual merge of TV, exploration/narrative, and action...but the rhythm is utterly infuriating when it could have been more immersive, and the game is just too short....certainly left me wanting for more.    … Expand

    for me a great game with problems of optimization in some cinematic scenes great gameplay the series that comes included in the game is a good complement I finished it in about 13 hours and in my opinion is one of the best games of xbox one

    Juego muy interesante, con unos gráficos muy buenos y una historia que te sumerge dentro, además de contar con fragmentos reales de una serie. La jugabilidad es bastante buena y el juego se hace muy ameno.

    Me encantño el juego, la historia, la serie muy bien hecha... pero hecho en falta más ambición en los gráficos, que no son nada del otro mundo y encima tienen popping cuando haces zoom con el arma (al menos en One X). Aparte igual algo corto, pero lo recomiendo, muy chulo.

It may be quite hard to grasp the idea of the plot of this game at the beginning, but if you give it a chance the story will reveal itself to be well-thought-out (the actors' performances are really great), the graphics are one of the best I've seen on Xbox One, and the gameplay is quite fun as well. Treat isBrave, and well-delivered experiment of combining a TV series with a video game. It may be quite hard to grasp the idea of the plot of this game at the beginning, but if you give it a chance the story will reveal itself to be well-thought-out (the actors' performances are really great), the graphics are one of the best I've seen on Xbox One, and the gameplay is quite fun as well. В том, что ты не до конца почувствуешь сюжет. А перестрелки затягивают настолько, что ты хочешь возвращаться к ним снова и снова. Также мне понравилась эта смесь игры и сериала. Это действительно было очень круто. Отметить надо неплохую проработку. Как и все игры, она имеет пару минусов. Идёт она далеко не в 4к и не всегда в Full HD. Собственно, на этом проблемы графики заканчиваются. Игра практически не имеет багов, но персонаж иногда ведёт себя очень странно, банально может не перепрыгнуть забор. Это были единственные минусы.     Played on Series S. The game looks great, would benefit from a series x/s upgrade. Took a little while for me to get hooked (a few years of trying it and leaving it). But when I did I really enjoyed the game and story. Gameplay and enemy types could be improved. But great game over all. The first game I have completed in a while. It made me want to play Control, so onto that next!

    Quantum Break is an incredible game that will hook you for its ten hour duration and stay with you long after that. The story is packed with mystery, suspense, and engaging characters caught in a high stakes situation where every decision is significant. While adding TV show may not have revolutionized storytelling, Quantum Break is a must play game for those looking to sink their teeth into a meaningful adventure.
