    In many ways, Project Cars 2 significantly improves over the original, but the end-product was, frankly, pretty disappointing.

    The Good:
    - Good variety of cars with appropriate divisions
    - Great visuals and sound design
    - Easily has the best attention to detail I've ever seen in a racing title
    - It supposedly has the most realistic handling of any racing game out there, and I would believe that

    The Bad:
    - Gamepad support is not great. You really need to fine-tune it the options, which can take an hour in my case before I felt comfy with the settings. This was a game meant to be played with a wheel.
    - Multiplayer can be a mixed bag. In my experience, you can get good matches where everyone drives seriously, or ones that are ruined by trolls.

    The Ugly:
    - This is a game meant for a small group of people: hardcore racing sim fans. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend this game in the slightest to casual racing fans
    - The singleplayer is not engaging, and I felt bored after three hours of playing it. The AI also leaves much to be desired.

    In conclusion, PCars 2 is not a racing game for everyone, even though it does improve over its predecessor in some ways. This was game meant only for serious sim racing fans, but even for them, I would recommend the PC version over the console versions. From what I heard, this game performs significantly better on PC. Basically, get PC2 on the PC, Forza on XOne, and GT Sport for PS4.    … Expand

    A priori, ce second ‘Project’ a l’air aussi daubé que le premier mais contre toute attente, il s’avère tout à fait jouable… à condition de passer un bon bout de temps dans les options, car par défaut, c’est assez… inquiétant !

    Peut-être qu’au volant, ça peut passer (bien que même un volant ne saurait masquer les tares de comportement des divers véhicules…) mais à la manette, il convient    A priori, ce second ‘Project’ a l’air aussi daubé que le premier mais contre toute attente, il s’avère tout à fait jouable… à condition de passer un bon bout de temps dans les options, car par défaut, c’est assez… inquiétant !

    Peut-être qu’au volant, ça peut passer (bien que même un volant ne saurait masquer les tares de comportement des divers véhicules…) mais à la manette, il convient de modifier moult réglages pour -enfin- obtenir un maniement… non pas satisfaisant mais jouable ! il faut aussi ajuster le niveau de l’IA et enfin, modifier éventuellement une bagnole ou deux, notamment et surtout en Indycar parce que le réglage par défaut est… inconduisible !

    Dans ces conditions, le jeu commence à se faire apprécier… de temps en temps selon les classes de véhicules proposées, lesquelles sont très variées et couvrent peu ou prou tout le sport automobile disponible. Malgré un nombre de voitures indéniablement limité soit dit en passant… La carrière est en tout cas fort bien pensée et très flexible sans aucun grindage et/ou farmage à déplorer.

    L’ambiance sonore est assez convaincante même si ça manque de patate et de ‘présence’ (difficile, certes, d’égaler les Forza Motorsport dans ce domaine). Idem pour les graphismes qui sont au mieux corrects, sans plus. Sur One X ou Series X, ça tourne à 60 im/s, y compris sous la pluie… une pluie qui produit des flaques sur les circuits mais contrairement à Forza 6 sorti en 2015, l’aquaplaning est ici incroyablement mal géré, pour ne pas dire complètement aberrant : on a l’impression de rouler sur les jantes !

    On regrette également ici et là toujours le même souci d’une simulation clairement à côté de ses pompes : les quelques voitures de route (sportives bien évidemment) ne représentent certainement pas la réalité tant leur comportement est incohérent, pour ne pas dire carrément… ridicule ! finalement, ce sont les caisses de course les plus puissantes qui sont moins sujettes à ces incohérences sur la piste comme feu les Groupe C par exemple.

    Pas si mauvais que ça donc ce Project Cars 2 mais encore assez loin du compte… c’est certainement sa variété qui parvient à maintenir chez le joueur téméraire un intérêt et/ou une curiosité pour les différentes disciplines proposées ainsi qu’un éventail judicieux de circuits pas trop mal restitués, ma foi.    … Expand

    Сказать по правде - вообще не оправдала ожиданий. Единственное что хорошо- оптимизация на Xbox One на данном этапе очень хороша и локализация на русском языке присутствует. По поводу же всего остального - не могу сказать ничего хорошего. Игра весит 44 гига, но я их не почувствовал, только время потратил на скачивание. Сингловая карьера скучная и унылая, физика слишком "реалистичная",Сказать по правде - вообще не оправдала ожиданий. Единственное что хорошо- оптимизация на Xbox One на данном этапе очень хороша и локализация на русском языке присутствует. По поводу же всего остального - не могу сказать ничего хорошего. Игра весит 44 гига, но я их не почувствовал, только время потратил на скачивание. Сингловая карьера скучная и унылая, физика слишком "реалистичная", играть с геймпада просто невозможно, только руль нужно юзать. Такое себе развлечение, гонки унылые и скучные. В мультиплеере так и не смог покатать - сидишь и ждёшь, когда полная комната наберётся, и пока не проёдешь квалификацию на то, какое место на старте займешь - никакой гонки не будет. Такой конченной системы я не видел еще нигде. Признаю - я не поклонник подобных реалестичных симуляторов, но нужно было думать, какие игры раздавать людям по Xbox Live Gold в Апреле, Майкрософт. PROJECT CARS 2 - очень спецефический проект для очень узкого круга людей, в который я к сожалению, не вхожу. Играть строго с рулём.… Expand

    Whereas Project CARS felt like a finished and polished product, Project CARS 2 maybe needed another couple of months in development to iron out the wrinkles. There is undoubtedly a good game in there as the handling and visuals are exceptional, but it is capable of so much more.

    Project Cars 2 comes with strength this year as the best simulator developed by Slightly Mad Studios, reinforced with a surprising physics system and also including a new online competition mode and accompanied by the debut of Rally Cross. A jewel you can't miss.
