    As far as realistic racing games go you will find it difficult to find a more realistic game than Project Cars 2. Everything about this game is finely tuned, and in my opinion it’s better than the first Project Cars. The cars in the game feel realistic in terms of everything, and I was especially impressed with the handling of the cars. There is a decent selection of cars in the game and none of the cars feel like an afterthought because each car has had a lot of effort put into them. The amount of customisation you can do is simply stunning. You can literally change everything and tailor it to how you want it to feel when racing, which is awesome. The game has a decent amount of content for you to sink your teeth into, and I especially enjoyed the career mode. The career mode has a great depth to it and will keep you invested for hours, and the game offers you a number of tracks and places to race so things stay fresh throughout. The game unfortunately though can be very difficult at times and it doesn’t get much easier on the lowest setting, so casuals will find it difficult to get into the game. The presentation side of the game is stunning. Visually the game looks very realistic, and the amount of effort that’s gone into the weather effects is extraordinary. The sound design is also brilliant and the cars sound gorgeous throughout your time with the game. At the end of the day the developers have managed to improve most things over the first Project Cars. Project Cars 2 has taken what was good about the first game and improved them further, which makes this installment even more realistic. Fans of the first game will love this addition even more, and I can actually see them gaining more fans with this installment. If you like racing games that offer you a challenging, fun and realistic time then there isn’t many better games than Project Cars 2.… Expand

    To be honest with you, the game is glitchy and buggy, with a sub-par and bland career mode. However, get the right settings for a wheel setup and the game transforms. It's enough to the point where you almost forgive the bugs. However, obviously most people don't have a simulation rig set up. If so, get Forza 7.     The Bad:
    - Gamepad support is not great. You really need to fine-tune it the options, which can take an hour in my case before I felt comfy with the settings. This was a game meant to be played with a wheel.
    - Multiplayer can be a mixed bag. In my experience, you can get good matches where everyone drives seriously, or ones that are ruined by trolls.

    The Ugly:
    - This is a game meant for a small group of people: hardcore racing sim fans. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend this game in the slightest to casual racing fans
    - The singleplayer is not engaging, and I felt bored after three hours of playing it. The AI also leaves much to be desired.

    In conclusion, PCars 2 is not a racing game for everyone, even though it does improve over its predecessor in some ways. This was game meant only for serious sim racing fans, but even for them, I would recommend the PC version over the console versions. From what I heard, this game performs significantly better on PC. Basically, get PC2 on the PC, Forza on XOne, and GT Sport for PS4.    … Expand

    The game is good, but oh my f**** god...again ? the game has tons of bugs, like PC 1, but even after all the problems they had with the first game, the second came with unforgivable mistakes...I just lost all my career progress after just closing the game... I recommend that you wait a few months to acquire this game, or you can just play another game, it's best than give money to this lazy studio

    Absolute garbage. Undriveable out of the box- then you'll go read reviews, and about half the people on here will say "oh just fiddle with the settings for an hour, and it'll still feel off, and sort of drive okay.."

    I did fiddle with it and try to adjust controls, and car settings, and views, and difficulty to no avail. still just crap. car is uncontrollable, and i've played tons of    Absolute garbage.     Very nice car list, especialy modern GT´s like Porsche, Ferrari etc. Most of the iconiq circuits in main game! Not like other games with DLC´s.. same with cars. Interesting livetrack system, only game with aquaplanning simulation, dynamic track conditions, you can drift in snow etc. In what game you can do it? Worth to play.

    If, like me, you love real cars on real classic iconic circuits, there is simply no better game out there on console. Forget Forza 7’s soul-less cash-grab and Assetto Corsa’s broken never ending (or really starting) work in progress, this is where you should be investing.

    To me this has been the most disappointing game in the last 5 years. It's been out now for 10 months and I keep returning to it only to go through the process if disappointment. Pretty much all of the problems from PC1 still exist and it doesn't feel like enough of an upgrade over the last game to even warrant it's existence.

    Negative points.....

    - Don't even bother with a controller. You'll spend hours upon hours of trying to calibrate it, but you'll never be quite 100% comfortable and you're settings will always be a compromise.
    - Be prepared to spend just as much time setting a wheel up. Again, it will always be a compromise, but it'll never quite feel natural and like a wheel should feel.
    - Some of the concepts and mechanics don't quite work, such as tire warming. Sometimes it will take 10 minutes of lapping just to warm your tires up, which is just silly and unrealistic. 10/10 for effort, 1/10 for actually pulling it off. It genuinely took me a full lap of the Nurburgring once to hate the tires up on an LMP car, and in a Group C car it took 2 laps of Le Mans to get them hot, both super high down force cars which would have no issue hating tires up.
    - The AI is the worst AI I've come across in my 20 years of playing racing games. It makes Forza AI look competent. What makes it even worse is that the tire heating mentioned above doesn't seem to apply to the AI, so when you're in qualifying, taking your 17 laps to heat your tires up the AI will be out at full pace, if you slow down and move over to let them past they'll sit behind you instead of overtaking, however, when you're actually doing the qualifying laps at full pace they'll be nudging you and inappropriately diving down the inside at the most ridiculous times imaginable.
    - "Alternative physics". Yep, they got the physics so wrong that they have had to implement a second set for when a car loses traction. The problem with this is that cars lose traction constantly. If you go over a small bump and a wheel loses contact with the ground that is the same as losing traction. What this means is that if you drive along a bumpy track or in a low grip car, the alternate physics start kicking in, which means the handling becomes a mess. This limits you to high grip cars and smooth circuits to even stand a hope of driving. If you don't believe me and would like like to test this out you need a steering wheel. If you drive along the Le Mans straight and let go of the wheel, without any input watch how the steering wheel starts violently veering left to right, this is your alternate physics fighting the regular physics.
    - The (badly thought out) car setting menu requires a game pad alongside a wheel. The problem with this is that it's 50/50 whether the game will pair the game pad alongside the wheel. I've never had this issue with any other game before. I recently spent 40 minutes turning my console on and off, disconnecting my wheel and controller, resetting the game, resetting the controller and generally pissing about to get it to pair them both at the same time. This happens far too often.

    I could go on for hours, so lets look at some neutral and positive points.

    Neutral points.

    - There isn't as much variety as people seem to think.

    Positive points

    - After you have spent 30 hours getting your calibrations right, selected the right car, the right track and then spent a considerable amount of time setting the car up to behave like it would in real life, it can be a mildly good game, like a 5/10. It probably would've been a decent game in 2004.

    I bought PC1 quite excited, but was disappointed. I let it slip and expected PC2 to be better. It was far worse. I will never buy an SMS game again. Buy Assetto Corsa instead, It has less content but it's actually a fully functional game.    … Expand

    Awesome graphics, TONS of tracks, great cars. Dynamic livetrack, dynamic weather, day/night changes, impressive tire physics. I love this game. Granted there are some issues, like AI etc. But once these are fixed it'll be brilliant.
    Giving this title anything less than 7 is completely insance TBH.

I recently played Forza 6 and that is still better graphically than PC2 on the Xbox (by a wide margin). I've seen some beautiful graphics from online reviews so I have to think the Xbox is being dumbed down graphically for it to work functionally. Case in point, when driving in the rain the spotter goes silent and doesn't talk to you, that is until the sun comes out and its a bright sunny day, then he's back to his usual peppy self. The track lines and edges of cars are simply way to jaggie and take away from the experience. I have also noted that the driving dynamics are off when its wet, I was practicing and qualifying in the rain and the car was simply on rails, virtually no slippage and no tire squeal on braking. The race started in rain and handled the same but as the rain stopped and the track dried out the car started to squeal and slide (as I would have expected) yet lap times were the same. I am assuming this is Xbox related and that the devs wanted the dynamic weather to work so the game has to throttle graphics, sound and driving dynamics to ensure its dynamic weather function works.

    Without these performance and graphical issues I can see this game getting the approx. 80% reviews it is getting as I really like the track options, car list and general focus on 'race day'. The tuning options are way beyond my knowledge and the race engineer is a great option. There are some kinks that need to be fixed such as random AI (for example I was racing, qualified in pole but on the formation lap the second place guy sped past me, I was then penalized for going too slow and not catching him even though I couldn't catch him at full race speed, once we started the first lap he slowed down to the level he was set to and I passed him within 2 corners, yet I got a drive through because of the formation lap issue). Another game issue is the aggressive race director, its a bit random, you can sometimes go slightly wide on a corner and he will forfeit your entire lap time or if you get one wheel over a rumble strip as you pass he will make you go back to your original position in the race. I would expect some of these issues to get fixed with patches down the road.

    For now I would say skip this on the Xbox One, I don't think it can handle the software well and not sure if the devs will be working on this to optimize it for the console. Hopefully it will run much better on the Xbox One X when that comes out, but for now this is nowhere close to a HD racing experience (let alone 4k) on the Xbox. Its playable but the graphics and performance issues are not worth it right now and not sure if they will or can be fixed for the current gen. I have the digital version and am hoping these improvements fix themselves when the Xbox X comes out.    … Expand

    Project cars 2, maybe fans shouldnt create their own game after all... the AI is laughable, the graphical glitches are abismal and really off putting and the controller support is severely lacking despite suposedly being better! Im glad i have a ps4 and can play GT sport soon!

    I really wanted this game to be great but it seems like yet another developer is rushing out a game to make a quick buck rather than waiting and releasing a completed game. I reported many of the issues I had on the official forum of the game and that got deleted once it got enough views and replies from others with similar issues. Responses from SMS and the Moderators seem to mostly disagree with users and their experiences. Ian Bell (CEO of SMS) was quick to point to the Metacritic Critic Review score but when I why the User Score for the Xbox One was substantially lower, he decided to ignore the post and delete the thread. It's really not a positive to take away if they're not going to own up to their mistakes.

    Overall, not only did the experience of the game fall far below expectation (expectations being that I was hoping this would be as good as Project Cars 1 with extra cars and tracks), I was also made out to be a liar by people working for the studio behind the game, even though there were around 70+ posts from people sharing a similar experience to me.

    Its good for people to say enough is enough when it comes to paying £50+ (I paid £75 for the deluxe edition) and you receive a substandard product, hopefully more voice this because the industry as a whole is becoming a bit of a joke with releasing unfinished games and charging a premium for it.

    Too bad they seem to be either just denying, shifting the blame of issues to others (one moderator blamed Microsoft for their policy on how they release updates - maybe you shouldn't release a substandard game with game breaking bugs in the first place) or deleting posts and threads on their forum of people criticising the standard of the game rather than reassuring customers that their complaints are being acknowledged and fixes are on their way. The only threads that seem to stick around are ones that only report bugs when there's a lot more wrong than that with the game - they're just not interested to hear about it.

    Overall I would give:

    3 / 10 for the game
    -10 / 10 for the customer service
    Which comes to a grand total of -7.

    Unfortunately 0 is the lowest I can post on here so I'll settle for that. I'll be happy to change my score for the game once it starts getting patched, can't see the customer service rating getting much higher though.    … Expand

    Belos gráficos porém com poucas opções de carros e tem um nível de dificuldade um pouco elevado demais. Quem não tem costume com simuladores vai precisar ajustar as configurações pra poder jogar.

    A priori, ce second ‘Project’ a l’air aussi daubé que le premier mais contre toute attente, il s’avère tout à fait jouable… à condition de passer un bon bout de temps dans les options, car par défaut, c’est assez… inquiétant !

    Peut-être qu’au volant, ça peut passer (bien que même un volant ne saurait masquer les tares de comportement des divers véhicules…) mais à la manette, il convient de modifier moult réglages pour -enfin- obtenir un maniement… non pas satisfaisant mais jouable ! il faut aussi ajuster le niveau de l’IA et enfin, modifier éventuellement une bagnole ou deux, notamment et surtout en Indycar parce que le réglage par défaut est… inconduisible !

    Dans ces conditions, le jeu commence à se faire apprécier… de temps en temps selon les classes de véhicules proposées, lesquelles sont très variées et couvrent peu ou prou tout le sport automobile disponible. Malgré un nombre de voitures indéniablement limité soit dit en passant… La carrière est en tout cas fort bien pensée et très flexible sans aucun grindage et/ou farmage à déplorer.

    L’ambiance sonore est assez convaincante même si ça manque de patate et de ‘présence’ (difficile, certes, d’égaler les Forza Motorsport dans ce domaine). Idem pour les graphismes qui sont au mieux corrects, sans plus. Sur One X ou Series X, ça tourne à 60 im/s, y compris sous la pluie… une pluie qui produit des flaques sur les circuits mais contrairement à Forza 6 sorti en 2015, l’aquaplaning est ici incroyablement mal géré, pour ne pas dire complètement aberrant : on a l’impression de rouler sur les jantes !

    On regrette également ici et là toujours le même souci d’une simulation clairement à côté de ses pompes : les quelques voitures de route (sportives bien évidemment) ne représentent certainement pas la réalité tant leur comportement est incohérent, pour ne pas dire carrément… ridicule ! finalement, ce sont les caisses de course les plus puissantes qui sont moins sujettes à ces incohérences sur la piste comme feu les Groupe C par exemple.

    Pas si mauvais que ça donc ce Project Cars 2 mais encore assez loin du compte… c’est certainement sa variété qui parvient à maintenir chez le joueur téméraire un intérêt et/ou une curiosité pour les différentes disciplines proposées ainsi qu’un éventail judicieux de circuits pas trop mal restitués, ma foi.    … Expand

Такой конченной системы я не видел еще нигде. Признаю - я не поклонник подобных реалестичных симуляторов, но нужно было думать, какие игры раздавать людям по Xbox Live Gold в Апреле, Майкрософт.     Whereas Project CARS felt like a finished and polished product, Project CARS 2 maybe needed another couple of months in development to iron out the wrinkles. There is undoubtedly a good game in there as the handling and visuals are exceptional, but it is capable of so much more.

    Project Cars 2 comes with strength this year as the best simulator developed by Slightly Mad Studios, reinforced with a surprising physics system and also including a new online competition mode and accompanied by the debut of Rally Cross. A jewel you can't miss.
