Don't let anyone make you miss this game. If you like puzzle games in beautiful environments, this game is for you. The narrator can get a bit too chatty but if you listen to what he says, it is always relative to the puzzle you are solving. It's a short game but personally I have no problem with that. I liked all the puzzles except for one, and really liked the overall atmosphere. HopeDon't let anyone make you miss this game. Pneuma: Breath of Life is more of a graphical showcase than a game, as they are amazing. Its environments are the prettiest I have ever seen in a game. The puzzles are also intricate, and the ending blew my mind.

A brief first-person puzzle game with light exploration elements. In the game you play as God. Or do you? It raises some interesting philosophical questions. The narration is quite amusing and at times pretty deep.

The puzzles themselves aren't really hard at all. Yet, they are still fun to solve thanks to the unique mechanics. The length of the adventure is the main downfall. It only takes a few hours to beat. Seeing everything has to offer won't take much longer. After that there really isn't much of a reason to give it a second go. Even as someone who really enjoyed the game it's hard to justify why anyone should really pay the price of $19.99 when the content is so slim.

Yet, those who do take the chance on it are likely to find a charming game with solid puzzles and surprisingly deep themes. It's overpriced for the content, but the adventure is still worth taking for those with extra cash to spare. It surprised me in many ways and I do recommend giving it a shot.

I give the game an 8.5/10.

I got this free via Xbox One GWG. I quite like puzzle games, but this one just didn't do it for me. Unlike Portal, where there's a set of laws that govern its universe, everything in Pneuma is somewhat random. You have to guess and check to figure out what anything does, and often, the results make little logical sense. Most of the puzzles are quite easy. A few of them are really dumb (e.g. stand and stare at something for 25 seconds). There's not much of a story. The art is quite pretty, and the soundtrack is atmospheric at best. Loading times between levels are insanely long. The game itself is really short (2-3 hours to 100% complete it with all 8 secrets). Nevertheless, because it was so short, I don't feel like I've wasted time playing it. Expand

Great great game. For anyone that likes to think and not only move and shoot, this is a great game with an exciting narrative and a great ending. On the technical side, there are some problems like low resolution textures, some frame drops and extremely long loading screens.

In any way, this doesn't prevent the author of this puzzler of telling a great story with some clever puzzles. I

Pneuma is a great puzzle game, the graphics were good too! 8/10 because I found the game a little bit repetitive with the puzzles but it's still a great game.

One of the best indie games I've ever played. Beautiful environments, with an amazing philosophical story that makes you think your whole life. The main and only character, wonderfully portrayed by Jay Britton, talks a lot, and everything he says is important for the game or relative to the current puzzle. This game definitely deserves more relevance than it has, unfairly unknown. EveryoneOne of the best indie games I've ever played. I give this a perfect ten because the puzzles are good. Some hard one some easy ones. But that’s not what you pick this game up for. You pick it up for the dialogue. But other than the character you control is nothing to break grounds but his journey from thinking he’s god to the end is something that’s made me play this game over and over again. And the final puzzle he leaves the player with is something I think about a lot. Expand

Beautifull "unreal engine 4" graphics, immersive atmosphere, charismatic main char and a very excite plot.

To me Pneuma: Breath of Life felt more like a taster of what could have been a huge puzzle game. Not to say the game wasn’t a success, from what we can see the game works very well with new innovative puzzles – I just wish there could have been more!

Breath of Life will have its fervent champions, but it won't go supernova. [Issue#159, p.113]

Pneuma is let down by its waffling and insistence on shoving questions about the nature of reality down your throat. [Apr 2015, p.83]
