    The story isn’t the focus of Peaky Blinders: Mastermind; it’s the gameplay. It’s just there to give the missions some context. And the gameplay itself is inventive, engrossing and rewarding. It’s a great feeling to reach the end of a mission having carefully planned each character’s route and actions, watching them all play out like clockwork. FuturLab has taken a property, really dug deep into the heart of it, and created something that captures its essence. But you don’t need to be a Peaky Blinders fan to enjoy Mastermind; all you need is to enjoy a good puzzle.

    Stylish, slick and set in Small Heath, Peaky Blinders: Mastermind on Xbox One is a strong first outing for the family. It may be a little on the short side, but it’s a refreshingly different way to test your gray matter.

    Peaky Blinders: Mastermind surprised us with a very satisfying and well thought-out "time rewind/record" mechanism that makes us feel like a real gang mastermind like Tommy Shelby was, perfectly orchestrating and timing all our companions actions. Some controls might have been better refined, but it's definitely a game to try, even for people who never watched the TV series.

    Peaky Blinders: Mastermind was developed by FuturLab, and focuses on the Shelby family before the events of the first season of the show. One of the Peaky Blinders has reportedly killed a member of the local Chinese gang, and the family will need to try and protect their man while diffusing the situation in well, appropriately Shelby fashion.     it's genre of choice, eschewing the usual third person action of video game adaptations and instead choosing the route of a puzzle game. There are 10 missions in total that took me around four or five hours to complete on my first play through, most of which take place in the cobblestone streets under the shadows of brick warehouses of industrial 1919 Birmingham. The atmosphere of the show is well reproduced in the environments even if some of the levels fail to stand out from one another due to the re-use of assets. It can be a little unrewarding at times especially early on, which I feel like an overextended tutorial at times and only offer a couple of minor head-scratching moments to earn satisfaction from them.I still feel like this is the game will be cherished by Peaky Blinders fans and if you are unfamiliar it may be worth checking out for yourself on your Xbox One.    … Full Review »

Prime example of paying a fortune for the name and £5 on development, this game could have been so much more tbh its a insult to release a game this bad on a Sega mega drive but on a Xbox 1 or PlayStation 4 the programmer should be locked up total rubbish graphically and very limited on gameplay… Full Review »
