Though it doesn’t exactly put the added power of the PS4 and Xbox One to full use, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition is the best-looking console version of Payday 2 you can get, and the best value on any platform for obtaining its wealth of downloadable content.

PayDay 2 has a lot of great things going for it. The progression is so well done, the missions are fun and hectic, the skill trees are very customizable and the sheer amount of content is impressive. The only drawback to all of this is that it can really only be enjoyed playing online with others.

What this game brings is something that remains startlingly elusive in the modern canon: a co-op experience that genuinely requires you to work together. For a wildly violent first-person shooter, Payday 2 sure does promote a heartwarming spirit of unity.

While not as innovative as it once was in the current gaming landscape, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition is the definitive Payday experience on consoles that will provide hours of multiplayer fun.

I don't mind single player, but this game doesn't have single player, so... Bottom line, you'll probably have more fun grabbing a shovel and just burying sixty bucks in your yard. Full Review »

Which is kind of the entire point behind the game. Not sure how you can release a product and call it "finished" and have more than 50% of it completely unusable. I'll be looking for a refund. As a consumer when I purchase something I expect it to be working to the point I can at least do I what is intended from my purchase. Payday released early in the UK and the problems still were not fixed by the time the US released. This is my way of showing developers/publishers that I will not tolerate this type of behavior and I would rather them push back release, instead of giving me a product that does not work as intended or advertised.
