    Please don't buy this broken turd of a game. It's three weeks after release and the online aspect is still completely broken with no change in sight. If you want to spend $50 to get ass raped by Overkill Studios then I highly recommend this game. @ Overkill Studios, I like some soft music in the background next time you decide to **** ME.

    The 360 version of the game was great 2 years ago. But the fact it is a Co-op that still isn't functioning a week after release shows extreme failure by Overkill. It seems they need new management. This should have been a monumentally successful launch. Instead it turns out to be the worst single player campaign game I've ever experienced.     I only signed up for this so i could write this review. Payday 2 is currently unplayable on xbox one. I am astonished at any positive reviews for this game. It seams to me that it would be hard to enjoy a game you haven't played. It truly is contemptible that they haven't even addressed this issue really. Ive had the game for weeks now, and have managed to successfully join 2 games. ThatI only signed up for this so i could write this review. Payday 2 is currently unplayable on xbox one. I am astonished at any positive reviews for this game. It seams to me that it would be hard to enjoy a game you haven't played. It truly is contemptible that they haven't even addressed this issue really. Ive had the game for weeks now, and have managed to successfully join 2 games. That is after a frustrating and uncountable number of failed attempts. Payday 2 was never enjoyable enough to wait 15 minutes and 30 tries in order to play. It was and always will be a quick dumb fun kind of game that you could pick up, play a few rounds during down time, then forget about. But on the Xbox one it is almost the equivalent of fruit ninja or angry birds having a 30 minute start up sequence. don't buy this game. It is a wasted 60 gigs of space on my xbox, and a wasted $60 of your money.… Expand

    Why a bad review, unplayable. As a consumer when I purchase something I expect it to be working to the point I can at least do I what is intended from my purchase. Payday released early in the UK and the problems still were not fixed by the time the US released.     Just received my refund from Xbox Support.

    I have attempted to play the game online for the last few weeks unsuccessfully. The AI in this game is so bad that online is really the only option.

    Is there any copies of Payday 2 that actually work?? My son has bought the game for his graduation with his birthday/graduation monies however has come across a very disheartening problem. The screen stays black and nothing happens when he tries to load it. He bought it yesterday. He was very happy to have until the screen doesn't do anything but be black and do nothing.     Not only is the game 7 DLC packs behind the PC, public multiplayer DOES NOT WORK. You are unable to connect to anyone other than your friends, making the game unplayable without 2 or 3 friends. The game is incredibly glitch too. Players will sometimes be unable to interact with items, games will not start, and rewards will not be given after heists.     Hard to review - after about twenty attempts, still unable to get into a game. I don't mind single player, but this game doesn't have single player, so... Bottom line, you'll probably have more fun grabbing a shovel and just burying sixty bucks in your yard.

    Trash. Multiplayer is completely broken and unplayable. Which is kind of the entire point behind the game. Not sure how you can release a product and call it "finished" and have more than 50% of it completely unusable. I'll be looking for a refund.

    This is stupid. how can this dev release this game? its unplayable (yes yet another game!) - everytime you try and attempt to log into crime net it freezes, therefore you cant really do much, ive had it since launch day, its a complete waste of space so im selling it. The dev has recognsed there is a problem but i still believe its unacceptable that the game is released like this.

    Like others I'm unable to join games online due to bugs, and without online play the game is worthless as the bots are terrible. It's inexcusable that a game could be released this broken - doubly so when its a remake of a game that has been out for years.

    Does not work and will soon have micro transactions. Don't buy anything from overkill, they are lousy con men only after money. They don't like making games just taking money for as little effort as possible. Strange that microsoft allows this to be sold even though it's broken and unplayable.

    As the other guys state, they are having some issues. Thing is - I don't hold a grudge. Get past it and get ready for one of the best coop-experiences out there. Really loads of fun at a great price.

    Tragically, Overkill is having some issues with the online experience, but I trust them when they're telling us it's on its way. Overkill has the best community in the world.

    At $40, you can't go wrong with this one. Call your friends and start planning heists! When the problems are fixed, you have +400 hours of awesome gameplay ahead of you.

    They added microtransactions to buy weapon skins with stat bonuses on them on top of the $200 worth of dlc. And they're liars.

    "We've made it clear that Payday 2 will have no microtransactions whatsoever (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)"

Payday 2 is the next generation of gaming with the ability to do play the game 2 different ways. All stealth and a team that knows their role and demand perfect execution will put your replay-ability through the roof.     Pretty awesome game, not too mad about the crimenet bug, its still lots of fun running solo missions to perfection if no of my friends are online to make a co-op game with. Really love the music and the suspense of pulling off a stealthy heist.     Payday 2 may of had a bumpy release date on Xbox One but it sure is an entertaining game (I'm pretty sure it's fix now.) Playing the game alone will get boring but with friends it will get a lot better. You do rank up pretty quick if you play on high level difficulty. One problem I have is that different guns don't make a difference unless you do a really tough heist such as The HoxtonPayday 2 may of had a bumpy release date on Xbox One but it sure is an entertaining game (I'm pretty sure it's fix now.) However, since the game was released the servers are still acting up, kicking me constantly out of the game, refusing to let me connect or simply saying the rooms are full even when that's clearly not the case.     This game needs some attention. Communication is broken in multiplayer it is very hard to connect to an online lobby. The game is fun when working properly. The game has plenty of good qualities and it will keep you entertained as long as its working. I think this is a high risk buy I wouldnt take the risk unless you have played this game last gen.     Not much of a difference from Payday 2... still a fun game to play when you're bored and the great thing is, internet isn't required to play. If they added more it would have been a much better "sequel".

    Game sucks, it doesn't work most of the time, its like 60+ updates behind the PC version and the devs don't give an absolute monkeys about console players. It angers me that these devs have earned a single cent of money from this tragedy of a game. Its not even a game, Its a bunch of code, textures, scripts, models and other assets thrown together in one package.

    After over a year, with plenty of chances to fix this, I STILL can't connect to a friend's game, nor are they able to connect to mine. What a massive waste of time and money. I'm working on getting a refund for this pile of garbage.

    Although the online flaw has been fixed , this game has so much potential and very enjoyable . I will still not give the game a perfect score . My reason for this is the friendly AI . I have 1 friend that owns this game on XBOX ONE and mostly he is not always available . If the friendly bots can pick up loot , open deposit boxes , silently kill gaurds , cable tie civillians and followAlthough the online flaw has been fixed , this game has so much potential and very enjoyable . The mere repetitive nature of the missions is enough to cut any gaming session to a few heists at most. The gunplay is fantastic as well as the beautiful graphics.     You range from the highly efficient, experienced player to the absolute noob that can't seem to keep himself alive. This is especially frustrating when trying to take down a bank in stealth mode, when a new player instinctively pulls the trigger when confronted with an enemy.
    IF you're a fan of the series then go ahead and give this a go otherwise stay clear of this, probably unfinished, game.    … Expand

    Absolutely love this game, the co-op is insanely good, the single player is an extra hard challenge (I play with the horrible A.I. off). Its 13 bucks on the xXbox store currently, pick this bad boy up.

The game haves you assume the role of a criminal who robs banks, frames people, and rigs elections, although the games perks and weapons either make you completely useless or completely overpowered. If you know what to pick for your perk deck, skills, and weapons you'reAfter spending 40 days 12 hours and 12 minutes playing this game for the Xbox One I can say that the game is horrible. The game haves you assume the role of a criminal who robs banks, frames people, and rigs elections, although the games perks and weapons either make you completely useless or completely overpowered. If you know what to pick for your perk deck, skills, and weapons you're fine, but someone who is new to the game will most likely struggle and find this game confusing. The amount of content may look amazing at first, but with enough play time the heists you want to play and the weapons you want to use will become limited. Now if you're looking to step into Death Wish difficulty, game will become better, somewhat. This difficulty is the only challenging one to anyone with a comprehensive brain that functions, but this may allow for people to play some beginning game heists again for a achievement, but the weapons, perks, and armors will become extremely limited in this difficulty. Now lets talk about the support that overkill gives the crimewave edition on both ps4 and xb1....... Yeah, there's none. After a year has passed this game still has no real connection fixes, no new dlc, and the PC version has had over 50 updates since the release of the crimewave edition, and that's not counting the numerous hot fixes on the PC. If you're looking for co-op fun, go buy Left 4 Dead, Dark Souls, or GTA Five. Left 4 Dead is a co-op horde shooting much like Payday, Dark Souls is extremely challenging, and GTA is the best criminal/ heist game I've ever played. If you want to try this game out, don't buy it. Rent it, or borrow it from a friend. Don't give the scumbags at overkill software your money.… Expand

    I desperately want to like this game, I really do. But boy is it bad. The graphics are okay for a computer game, and the weapons aren’t too shabby. But the gameplay, controls and just the seemingly overall lack of effort put into this game is absolutely bewildering. Great concept and idea, horrid execution

    Payday 2 on the xbox may be outdated but it has the gameplay of what you expect from a crazy heisting game it has diffrent characters that fit your style weapons that are different. not only that you can play stealth as well i think this game is a really good game sure its engine is rusty but it doesnt stop the experience over all i would buy this

    Payday 2 crime wave edition is the (kinda) remake of the original payday 2 for the xbox one it is kinda similar to the original but better with more heists, weapons, dlc, and slightly improved graphics but I can't see much of a difference I don't recommend this is if you have the original payday 2 unless your friends have it on Xbox one or you have Xbox game pass but if not enjoy

    This game is really easy to get into. Sure after a while it can get boring, but thats why a payday 3 would be great because they could do a lot more. I played nothing but this game for a month straight. Its a worth while game to play if your bored of all your current games and no new game are coming out.

    I dont get all of the hate i love this alot and i still play it to this day its just a fast and fun experience. The main reason why people complain is about the dlc well i think buying dlc helps the publisher to produce bigger and better games so ill buy the game and give money to my favorite studio. So this is the one of the best games i have ever played and you should enjoy it too

    Though it doesn’t exactly put the added power of the PS4 and Xbox One to full use, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition is the best-looking console version of Payday 2 you can get, and the best value on any platform for obtaining its wealth of downloadable content.
