I confess that i dont usually review games (no reason other than its time that i would usually spend gaming).
But this ones really rubbed me up the wrong way because i love the tabletop game.
Graphics are fantastic. Gangs are great (although only 3). Environments look brilliant. Customisation is rich and looks top notch and true to the game. But ..... goddam ..... iv never known a game

But ..... goddam ..... iv never known a game be so un-fun before?!?!?? The boardgame is fast, frantic and exhilarating as your gangs develop their own story as every battle plays out.
This is so so so damn slow. Damage is low. Movement is too much. Traversing the environment is overwhelming.

I just dont know how they can patch in a fun-factor to this. A good start would be speed it up, cut the mini-breaks, increase damage, limit movement etc. It just feels rushed and hasnt run enough testing and tweaking.
Very difficult to recommend which is desperately disappointing for a boardgame that deserves better.

    DO. NOT. BUY.

This game was released barely out of its Alpha, was never marked as being in BETA still, crashes, lost items, lost experience and then they had the audacity to put out paid DLC before the core games even fully stable, AVOID

Put in the time to learn its nuances and you’ll come away with a game that rewards you for the time you put into it, it just takes a very long time to get to that point. There’s a lot of potential to be had, but I found missions to be much too lengthy and tedious to keep my attention with its excruciating slow pacing, especially when losing an hour’s worth of gameplay and having to redo it all over again. Necromunda: Underhive Wars is going to mainly appeal to diehard Warhammer 40K fans and those that want to play anything similar to X-COM with its tactical gameplay, but it’s a hard sell for the casual fan that will mostly likely feel it’s a little too clunky.

Necromunda: Underhive Wars on Xbox One has raw potential, but as it stands at the moment the game is a bit of a mess and you’d need to stick with it and look beyond its faults to see the potential in there. And even then, the story-mode and operations may not quite have enough to keep you coming back.

Necromunda: Underhive Wars is actually a pretty decent strategy RPG once you dig into it. It does itself a great disservice by simply being obscure and steering you towards its boring story mode from the outset, but go against it and create your own gang and you’ll find an experience that is hugely rewarding. There is still the issue of its turtle’s pace to overcome though – hopefully developer Rogue Factor can patch in an option to speed up the gameplay when you’re watching the CPU.
