I blame myself for getting too excited for this game and believing in the hype. I'll throw some positives out there because there are a few. First off it looks nice. Ok, now for a list of complaints. There is no pre-race presentation, nothing at all. The race just begins as it did in Nascar Heat 2002. There is only 3 camera angles to choose from, the default angle for me is just too low. An option for a raised camera would be great so I could see how close my nose is to the car in front. Qualifying hasn't changed at all. The qualifying is automatically set at quick qualifying, previously I had said there was no authentic timed qualifying, there is. There's no local multiplayer which seems to be the norm now and for some reason you can't just jump in and race a full season. You have to unlock the tracks which makes NO sense. Enjoy grinding XP on Daytona, Dover, and Atlanta for a bit until you can get enough XP to race more tracks. This seriously made no sense to me. What other sports game would do that? If you're not a fan of the Gibbs cars, you're not going to enjoy the loading screens as it's all Toyota drivers featured. The music is a generic country/rock mix, but that's to be expected. Anyway, it's nice to see a NASCAR game on a current gen console. I understand they have to begin somewhere, N.H.E. has been a let down but it's not the worst. If you're like me and have been itching to play a full NASCAR game on a home console pick it up, if you're a casual race fan this isn't your game. At least next year can only be better Expand

I played this game for about 5 hours last night. When it wasn't crashing it had some fun moments. If you are interested in a realistic sim, this game isn't for you, but compared to the last NASCAR entry, at least this one is somewhat playable. The biggest gripe I have with the game is the complete lack of options. This is bare bones. If you are going to make a game with dated graphics at least give us depth of option. Absolutely no commentary, aside from a brief 5-10 second intro of each track. You'll get sick of the spotter after the first few laps of your first race. The online play was fun when I finally found a game of like-minded players, who weren't just trying to wreck other drivers, or turn around and drive backwards around the track. Hopefully they'll fix this up a bit, and maybe add some new features going forward. I would definitely wait until this game price drops. This is not a $60 game. Expand

NASCAR Heat Evolution is a like a massive wreck that happened on the track, the result being crushed metal and fiberglass that smashed 180 mph into the wall, and you get to play the contents that the dev-team threw into the game from that gnarly mess.

NASCAR Heat Evolution is the only dedicated NASCAR show in town on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but it’s sadly beaten in terms of depth and realism by games that were released over a decade ago.
