    Cons: graphics, load times, physics

Pros: the only option if you want to play a next gen motocross game. This game has moments, but overall is extremely frustrating and inconsistent. Drive off the track the slightest bit? Don't worry about correcting, the game will just set you back down in the middle of the track and let opponents pass you. I had some more fun once I learned how to manipulate and deal with all the weird glitches. Pretty much what you'd expect if you played Ride. Great idea, terrible execution. Here's hoping they get it right next time.

It’s difficult to recommend a title that serves only the most experienced racing fans, while alienating the rest of us. When coupled with a bland visual presentation and more than a few technical issues, players should to go back to older motocross titles to get their fix.

If you’re a super fan, then it’s an obvious purchase as you’ll get to race as your heroes, but strictly speaking as an objective view to the game as a whole, it’s hard to look beyond the glaring issues, even more so if you don't follow the sport.

MXGP2 takes itself way too seriously in a genre that doesn’t require it in games. The realism is commendable, but also limiting to the appeal of the game. The lackluster visuals and goofy animations also stand out, and the lack of anyone playing online completely nullifies the need for that mode.
