Monster Energy Supercross 2 is the best supercross available right now. It might even be the best supercross game ever made. It’s just a shame that even though improvements have been made to its career mode, it’s still not particularly engaging or noteworthy.

There’s a load of content for you to play, and the variety within the content means racing your bike never seems to get dull or bland.
I enjoy the amount of customization options that are available, because being allowed to chop and change certain things meant I could put my own personal feel on things. Technically the game holds up really well throughout and this meant racing around on my bike always felt fun and most important of all realistic. The riding and physics of the bikes feel improved over the original game and winning a race now feels a lot more rewarding because of this. I found the load times to be a little too long and waiting around can test your patience. Last year’s Monster Energy Supercross is definitely up there with the best bike racing games ever. I went into Monster Energy Supercross 2 with excitement and a touch of expectations as well. Thankfully it delivered, because this game has took what was so good from the first game and in some ways improved further which in turn made this game absolutely brilliant. One of the improvements then came in the form of the riding itself because the physics feel more realistic this time around. You can also chop and change more things this time around as well and this added touch was nice because the freedom allowed me to make things more personal. In terms of content the game has a myriad of modes for you to get to grips with and racing in each of these modes never became dull or boring. The long load times in Monster Energy Supercross 2 aside, gets little else wrong and with the added bonus of an exciting, hyped, presentation and a technical essence that doesn’t throw many problems your way. You get another offering that’s stands up there with the very best motor bike racing games of all time. Two massive thumbs up!
