Minecraft fans will adore it, Telltale fans will love it, those who like neither might find something to enjoy, and those who like both will literally explode with joy. [Issue#130, p.74]

Minecraft fans should enjoy the references to the game, while Telltale fans will enjoy the traditional storytelling elements they’ve come to expect from the studio. The Order of the Stone grabs your attention at a number of points and sets you down the path of actually caring about what’s going on in a story set in the player-driven Minecraft universe.

Minecraft Story Mode Episode 1 is a very solid first episode. Although the gameplay may seem a bit easy at times, this first episode is truly enjoyable nonetheless and a must have for Minecraft fans.

With the first installment of Minecraft: Story Mode, Telltale stays faithful to the popular source material while delivering another enjoyable adventure.

A great start to a new series. Although the child-like visuals will put some Telltale fans off this is to miss the huge investment and achievement so far. If the series continues in this vein it’s set to be warmly welcomed by both Minecraft fans and families.

A solid, functional episode, but one clearly aimed at a younger audience and therefore less involving than previous Telltale adventures.

Overall, the game is too kid friendly and it dosen't want to take any risks what so ever. Everything from humor, to story, to even the mainOverall, the game is too kid friendly and it dosen't want to take any risks what so ever. Everything from humor, to story, to even the main characters are extremely one dimensional and cringe worthy to watch. I was willing to give this game a try as Patton Oswald voices the male protagonist, and he is generally a very funny stand up comic and for that reason i was expecting humor around the level that tales from the borderlands is at, however the "jokes" that are cracked just come off as bad and not in the sense that its so bad its funny either. Its sad to the point where the game thinks the best joke is "would you fight 100 zombie sized chickens or 10 chicken sized zombies".......and if that poor attempt at humor was enough the first time, they pull the joke twice!

Now when i think of a minecraft story done right, i think of elementanimation, with there eggs guide to minecraft videos, which is creative in the way that it portrays its characters convincingly in a story that blends comedy and the occasional serious moment together to make it interesting to watch in the first place. Overall telltale bit off more than they could chew this year with this abysmal attempt at storytelling

I expected something different. It's definitely too aimed at younger gamers but overall I enjoyed some parts. If I was a couple of yearsI expected something different. Too bad al those kids doesn't see it because they're kids and have never play a telltale game before!

Guy's Telltale is a movie driven game you play the story you do not make the story! you press buttons to get further in the game. That's telltale!

    i give it a 9/10 i enjoy it.
