Sep 13, 2022There isn’t much to grumble about in regards Midnight Fight Express. If you like to fight, this is certainly a game you will enjoy.

Aug 22, 2022Midnight Fight Club might drop the ball slightly in terms of its narrative aspects, but it gets the important stuff absolutely bang on. This is a slick and addictive arcade brawler that gives you an expansive arsenal of moves, skills and weapons with which to slink off into the night on a blood-soaked mission to take back control of the city. There's tons of replayabilty here, with S-ranks to chase and leaderboards to climb, impressive variety in level design and a pumping soundtrack to bop along to as you take the fight back to the criminal underworld. This one's another Game Pass indie banger.

Aug 26, 2022Midnight Fight Express is definitely worth your time. With a total of nine hours of gameplay, the game provided me with a super fun experience. At its highest points, Midnight Fight Express provides super satisfying combat, honoring the modern beat'em up format. On the other hand, the game has poorly developed narrative and a soundtrack that I particularly didn’t like. But it's worth remembering that the game was developed for the most part by a single person – if I didn't know this beforehand, the possibility would never have come to mind. Overall, it's a very well designed game, both in terms of level design and artstyle.

Sep 19, 2022I’ve found myself really enjoying Midnight Fight Express. While initially limited, the combat opens up as you unlock new moves and combos. Being able to replay missions is great, and the customisation in both moves and appearance really sat well with me. I’d have liked to have voice acting in the game, but other than that this comes recommended.

Aug 30, 2022Midnight Fight Express captures the action synonymous with films like The Raid. Combat feels great and includes enough depth to pull off technical combos but is also simple and accessible for newcomers to the genre. The story is a miss-fire and lacks the cinematic flair which is within the gameplay. Whilst the aesthetics are basic, it does feel like a fight through a seedy underworld. The addictive gameplay loop makes you want to replay levels to achieve the highest score. Ultimately, Midnight Fight Express achieves what it set out to do: make you feel like an absolute badass.

Sep 2, 2022Despite what seems to be some outdated graphics at first, Midnight Fight Express is nonetheless a very good beat them up. Designed like a Hollywood blockbuster, it offers a coherent scenario with an escalating rhythm as the adventure goes on. Thanks to “cyberpunk” electro music pieces and perfectly animated combat phases, the player could be fully immersed. Unfortunately, the presence of dialogue windows between each wave of enemies kind of breaks the pace a bit. We will, however, forgive its few translation errors and occasional glitches. Its day one availability in the Game Pass (Xbox and PC) is also a significant advantage.
