O jogo Metropolis: Lux Obscura (análise) (2017) tem um estilo diferente e intrigante, não que seja algo totalmente original, mas sua pegada é muito boa e imersiva.
   
   Repleto de polêmicas, este game ambientado nas clássicas HQ’s Noir, tendo como inegável associação a obra de Frank Miller (Sin City), traz consigo um universo insano, repleto de violência, sexo e drogas. Novamente trazendo a tona que videogames não são apenas para o público infantil. Metropolis: Lux Obscura critica de sua maneira a violência, ganância, vingança e até mesmo machismo (com os 4 finais possíveis, devido a suas escolhas) .

   Com um enredo digno de um filme, você é o anti-herói Jon Lockhart, um ex-presidiário que cumpriu uma pena injusta pelo assassinato de um velho amigo. Ao sair da prisão, Jon retorna as ruas de Metropolis (onde ele tem um único objetivo: descobrir quem o incriminou e fazê-lo pagar). Para isso você irá trilhar quatro caminhos distintos, que irão terminar finais alternativos. Tudo isso, irá depender é claro, das suas escolhas e ações no hub da cidade.

   O mapa é muito fácil de navegar e é interessante analisar quanto aos resultados alternativos que você pode obter com o rumo que você escolhe. Ao longo do caminho, você encontrará mulheres perigosas, bandidos, cães de guarda, policiais ou seguranças, sendo que alguns destes com certeza podem terminar em uma briga. É aí que a jogabilidade entra em ação.
   
   Surfando na onda de jogos como Candy Crush, ou seja, no estilo Match-3 com formato de puzzle, você irá combater inimigos individuais ou em grupos, usando principalmente seus punhos e outras combinações de armas para chegar a vitória. Com um hub de escolhas bônus após vencer um combate, você poderá dependendo novamente do que você escolheu, tornar seu final mais fácil ou impossível de se concretizar.

   Morrer é uma realidade aceitável, mas isso não prejudica muito sua progressão, uma vez que você volta para o último salvamento automático do game, que ocorre a cada decisão que tu escolhes. A sorte também será um fator decisivo, pois as probabilidades nem sempre estão com você, o que deixa o game um pouco mais viciante.

   Infelizmente, a história acaba rápido (1 a 2 horas por final), o que prejudica um pouco a identificação com os personagens e suas histórias individuais, incluindo o próprio protagonista. Outro ponto contra, é que o jogo não tem legendas em português, então ao menos que saiba inglês ou espanhol, acompanhar os quadros da história podem ficar complicados.

   Por ser em formato de Hq’s, o visual poderia ser um problema, mas o pessoal da Kthulu Solutions foi muito competente, trazendo belíssimos traços ao jogo. Além disso, os dubladores e a equipe de som, conseguiram fazer um excelente trabalho, o que com toda excelência nos faz entrar na história.
   
   Por um preço muito acessível, nas suas diversas plataformas (Pc, Xbox, Ps4, Vita, Switch) você poderá experimenta Metropolis: Lux Obscura, eu recomendo. Foi uma ótima experiência, mas cuidado com a faixa etária, pois temos cenas explicitas e bem chamativas em toda a obra.… Expand

   The match 3 genre has seen an influx of games over the years and I must admit that I found them to be a little stale after a while and that’sThe match 3 genre has seen an influx of games over the years and I must admit that I found them to be a little stale after a while and that’s because most of them play out the same way. Metropolis: Lux Obscura tries to do things differently and whilst it still has a few shortcomings I found their approach to the match 3 style to be a breath of fresh air and that ultimately made me enjoy the game more. Something that really makes this game stand out above other game’s in the genre is the story it delivers to you. Many match 3 games don’t have any story really let alone an interesting one so it was a pleasure to find a story that was very interesting and at times a little risqué. The story also has the added bonus of having four different endings and I must admit that I was impressed with each ending because each ending is considerably different and most importantly each ending is worth getting too. The voice acting that’s in the story can be okay at times, but you will notice that on the whole it has a real amateur feel to it and it can make the story a little cringeworthy at times but it also gives the game a little character as well so it’s not all bad. The gameplay on the whole has been done pretty well and the match 3 formula can be pretty challenging at times, but in my opinion they have got the difficulty spot on because I very rarely got frustrated which is always a good thing. Unfortunately though the gameplay can get a little repetetive quite quickly and this is mainly because there isn’t a great deal of variety when it comes to the moves you can do and ultimately everything feels a little bit samey. The game is also lacking when it comes to the amount of content it has and whilst the content that is present is pretty enjoyable there just isn’t enough of it and the price of the game is perhaps a tad too expensive for what you get. Without a doubt one of my favourite things about the game is its presentation style. Visually the game has a noir look to it and when you combine that with the decent sound design it ends up bringing the story to life, which is great. At the end of the day Metropolis: Lux Obscura will not be for everybody because it’s definitely for the mature audience so I wouldn’t recommend playing this game when children are present. I do however like that they have made a match 3 game for adults and if you have any interest in this specific genre then you will no doubt find some enjoyment here. It may not be perfect but I appreciate the effort that has gone into the story and presentation side of the game and it does enough to get a thumbs up from me.… Expand
