Madden NFL 15 is a solid title that's actually one of the better editions to date.

The game engine is clearly improved and the defensive options are working almost too well for both the player and the Artificial Intelligence, which can create more tense matches and new challenges for fans to overcome.

This year’s game is both exciting and reassuring that EA Sports isn’t wasting opportunities to improve the series.

An highly entertaining football simulation with plenty of modes, great graphics and a deep gameplay capable to adapt both to rookie players and experts. Undoubtedly one of the best games in the series.

Madden NFL 15 won't break the mold in terms of gameplay innovation, but its new looks coupled with a much-needed improvement on the defensive side of the ball and the Gauntlet mode, add some freshness to the formula and, most importantly, make this the first truly next-gen iteration of the series.

Finally Madden is on its way to former glory. EA Tiburon is not there yet (at least on One and PS4, whilst PS3 and 360 move closer to the status of the infamous Legacy Editions), but the decisions they made and the steps they took are hopeful.

Madden's most impressive showing since the original Xbox days. Now lessons need to be learned from the best sports management sims to lend Connected Careers true longevity. [Nov 2014, p.84]

The revised skills trainer makes it a perfect entry level game for us on the other side of the pond who are interested in the NFL but need help in the concept and rules department of the game.

Not the perfect sports game but a big step forward in the right direction.

With gorgeous visuals, great presentation, intuitive controls and deep game modes, Madden NFL 15 is undoubtedly the MVP of American football games.

Madden NFL 15 is an excellent return to form for the series. Yes, it’s still plagued by legacy issues, but the leaps taken on defence, coupled with the spiffy new graphics and excellent gameplay, make this an essential purchase for longstanding fans and a great starting point for players looking to jump on board.

There are still a lot of things this series could stand to improve, but Madden NFL 15 represents an encouraging step forward for this series. A small step, to be sure, but still a positive one.

EA Tiburon could be onto something, and if it continues to listen to fan feedback, we could be in for some glorious days of video game football yet. For now, this is definitely worth checking out, as it's far from the same old thing.

Sports games like Madden are often chided for being too iterative, but in this case I hope we're witnessing the first steps in a larger progression. Future Maddens need to support Madden 15's additions so we don't wonder why once-prominent features haven't evolved. The series can't withstand another rebuilding year or worse - an entire console generation thrown away.

This 2015 episode brings many news which contribute to return the much better experience. The defensive aspect was corrected for a really interesting result.

Madden 15 a step forward, then, yet still a year behind schedule. There's a good game here, but there's still work to do to bring it up to the level of many of its sports game peers.

Deficiencies in the passing game along with technical hiccups stemming from the game's often-comical physics still exist, but Madden 15's few missteps do little to detract from an otherwise strong outing.

When Madden 15 first came out I kept hearing people complain and moan about it like usual when Madden comes out. In short this year’s gameWhen Madden 15 first came out I kept hearing people complain and moan about it like usual when Madden comes out. In short this year’s game has a few flaws that totally kill it for me. The worst flaw being the opposing QB’s are insanely accurate. I do love some of the changes they made to the defense to attempt to make it more fun to play but it’s easily overshadowed by this flaw. The best experiment I did with this was doing a fantasy draft and just overloading the D and then siming a few years. My entire D was 95-99 overall. I went up against a Dolphins team that had a crap offense with the only two good player being Andy Dalton (94 ovr) and Jermicheal finley (91 ovr). The O-Line was in the low 80’s and all their offensive weapons were rated in the 70s (a few were in the 60’s but I never face them) I ended up injuring both Dalton and his backup Matt Moore (68 ovr) in the first half but they managed to have perfect accuracy. What really made me say I was done with this game was Mark Sanchez…. He had regressed to a paltry 60 (or maybe he grew?) but in the second half he was 29 for 30. I called different types of plays, zones, man, blitz etc but nothing can stop their accuracy.

In the end I played a few seasons and always had a winning record and won the Super Bowl thanks to the offense still being extremely easy to use despite having no super stars and always going for two to out power the CPU’s near perfect passing ability. I have owned every madden game since the late 90’s and I always played them thoroughly whether they had a good or bad year. I can honestly say I am thankful I only rented this game for seven days with me returning it on the 4th day. Apparently the store has had a lot of early returns for Madden 15 and they’re letting people grab a different game for the remaining rental time…..I want the ESPN football franchise back thanks to the turn EA has taken with Madden.

graphics are cool but the gameplay is AWFUL just like every other madden, i swear EA has been using the same engine for the last 7 years. itsgraphics are cool but the gameplay is AWFUL just like every other madden, i swear EA has been using the same engine for the last 7 years. its the same old choppy, glitchy BS as last year....oh and navigating through the menus is a NIGHTMARE. everything is laggy, there is literally like a 2 second delay after you hit the button, its hard to believe that this is next gen

another thing, i drafted my team and tried to get a scrimmage going before i started the season but guess what.. u cant!! there is no practice mode in the connected franchise..i dont know how you leave that out of a game...smh.... this is probably one of the worst football games ive ever played. im gona be so happy if/when 2k sports takes over
