A very deep RPG and Tower Defense experience; Lock's Quest is a great "survivor" of the DS ages. Good game, great length and a very old style-pixel style.

There’s definitely fun to be had in Lock’s Quest, it’s just unfortunately locked behind a wall of frustrating control issues.

Without rather some serious improvements or a sale that brings it down to a more reasonable price, Lock’s Quest is probably not worth your time or money. The developers needed to do more when bringing it over to Xbox One.

I bought this game because I remembered playing it on Nintendo DS as a kid and thought it would be fun to give it a chance. I remembered thisI bought this game because I remembered playing it on Nintendo DS as a kid and thought it would be fun to give it a chance. I remembered this game being hard and boy did I remember right. This game has no difficult setting and is pretty inconsistent in difficulty. Even some of the earliest levels in this game are pretty hard and you will fail multiple time. The game overall does get harder which becomes a problem later because some levels are too hard and I've even become stuck on one. after putting over 5 hours into one level and still being unable to pass it I've kinda given up. On top of the difficulty the game does have issues of crashing and just stop working at time. When you fail a level it'll give you 3 options. Retry the wave, reset the buildings for that wave, or reset the entire level. Occasionally the game will glitch and won't allow you to click any options forcing you to exit out of the game. The game also has a tendency to crash sometime. I got an average of 1 crash for maybe every 3 hours of gameplay. Not a huge issue but for a game so un-intense it shouldn't have this problem. The repair mechanic which is pretty important also is very hit or miss when it works. often it just won't work at all allowing the enemies to break through and making me lose. While i have complained for most of this review the gameplay is actually fun when it's working properly. And if the game was not $20 and somewhere between $5-10 I would recommend it. But because the game has many issues and is a bit overpriced for what you get I cannot recommend this game. Full Review »
