Nov 12, 2018LEGO DC Super-Villains offers a lot of great things to like, despite my small quibbles. The title makes up for redundant core gameplay with its sheer variety of playable characters, robust character creation suite, and abundance of side content to complete. Meanwhile, its relatively by-the-books story is bolstered by phenomenal voice acting and classic LEGO charm. It may not be the mature, gritty super-villains game that many would like, but LEGO DC Super-Villains is still worth your time and money.

Oct 18, 2018LEGO DC Supervillains remains faithful to its roots despite some new additions that don't get to change its mechanics. A game that will make you uncover every character giving you hours of fun in the way to it.

Official Xbox Magazine UKDec 18, 2018The best LEGO game for a while, perfectly pitched for couch co-op family fun. [Christmas 2018, p.93]
-
Nov 19, 2018If you are a LEGO/DC fan, this game is a no-brainer. A game that succeed on being fun, without unnecessary distractions.
-
Nov 5, 2018It’s good to be bad in LEGO DC Super-Villains and you should let out your inner Joker by getting involved… but there’s a bit of room for improvement in this one. Batman still reigns supreme in the LEGO DC realm.
-
Oct 29, 2018The game is jam-packed with content – twenty big levels, a large open-world hub, and plenty of characters to unlock. The multiplayer is pretty good, but I’m hoping TT Games considers online co-op in future games. If you’re a fan of previous LEGO games or a DC comics fan – I highly recommend getting LEGO DC Super-Villains.
-
Oct 21, 2018The story is great, the voice-acting top-notch and the visuals are among the best that Lego games have to offer. Mechanically though, this is as far as Traveller’s Tales can stretch the current mechanics. The core gameplay desperately needs an overhaul.
-
Oct 17, 2018If you enjoy DC heroes and villains as characters and don’t mind the simplistic gameplay and kid-friendly tone, then you'll like LEGO DC Super-Villains's super-powered romp through Gotham and Metropolis.
-
Nov 14, 2018While the formula has not changed much in these games, they are still fun if you enjoy the subject matter. Being a massive DC fan it is cool to see some weird and obscure villains in this ridiculous roster. LEGO DC Super Villains might feel like a game built on a template, but that doesn’t make it not fun. If you are not tired of the formula and love playing the bad guy, this title might be for you.
-
Oct 18, 2018LEGO DC Super-Villains is an entertaining, more of the same installment in the LEGO series, mainly shining thanks to the interesting story and the character creation system. But TT Games' series definitely needs a long-overdue gameplay and structure refresh.
-
Oct 21, 2018LEGO DC Super-Villains has a lot of fun with its source material, and although it does indeed prove that it’s good to be bad, taking some steps away from its play-it-safe formula would have been much, much better. That said, there’s a plethora of exciting content, depth and replay value on offer here, making this a must have for fans of the series. Just don’t expect this to be LEGO’s defining moment.
-
Apr 26, 2019A very solid and fun Lego game that tries to undo some of the more tired series trends by offering up a more interesting and varied style of humour, deeper puzzles and fighting mechanics but most importantly being less buggy. It's really a great title, and though some fans may find the gameplay still a bit stale, anyone who gives it a shot should find plenty of fun to be had and lots of value for money.
-
Nov 7, 2018A neat continuation of the LEGO DC series, Super-Villains offers a neat twist in casting your custom character and a range of iconic faces from the comic books as the protagonists in a raucously fun story. Yes, it's the same old LEGO game that you'll have played several times before, but damn it, it's still good. And indeed, good to be bad.
-
Oct 23, 2018LEGO DC Super-Villains doesn’t take any risk and stays true to the old formula. But it’s still well-crafted and it’s a good fit for any youngster trying to step in the gaming world.
-
Oct 30, 2018Let me reiterate it isn’t a bad game, but it doesn’t do anything to make it stand out as particularly good, either.
-
Oct 21, 2018Packed with jokes and DC fan service but the Lego formula is long overdue a complete revamp, because it’s starting to ruin concepts like this that are otherwise ripe with potential.
-
Nov 19, 2018Although I’ll never claim to be the biggest fan of LEGO video games, I’ve certainly enjoyed my time with quite a few of them and was hoping the same would happen with this one. Unfortunately, LEGO DC Super-Villains doesn’t do enough with its creative licenses and freedoms, and ends up being a very cookie cutter and rather dull game. It’s a shame.
-
Nov 5, 2018LEGO DC Super-Villains does little to distinguish itself from past LEGO games, to the point that it still features some of the franchise’s trademark technical issues and glitches.
