If we're looking to spend a bunch of hours on a fresh adventure, or if we really like RPG, we will enjoy Legend of Tetrarchs.

The story belts along at a cracking pace, with the requisite number of twists and turns to work through, and there are some very enjoyable battles to engage in along the way. It’s not Final Fantasy 7, but give it a chance and I think you’ll enjoy it, difficulty spikes aside.

While you won’t be “wowed” by Legend of the Tetrarchs, you won’t be disappointed. It does enough to be unique but still feels like a classic. There are great systems in place to make it a new experience. The downfalls are with the map and quest descriptions not giving you enough information. What really stings is the character development. There isn’t any. It causes an odd and offset balance to traditional RPGs. There are great ideas for leveling up and equipment, but poor execution with the story and basic principles of the task at hand. I think it’s a very decent RPG, but nothing you’re going to want to play a second time.

Legend Of The Tetrarchs makes strategy plays a large piece in the battles you take part in and I must say these elements have been done wellLegend Of The Tetrarchs makes strategy plays a large piece in the battles you take part in and I must say these elements have been done well in KEMCO style by making victory feel rewarding. There hasn’t been a bad game from KEMCO on the Xbox One to date and Legend of the Tetrarchs follows the same pattern as it gets more right than it gets wrong. When I started the game I connected with something that the game gets right and that is it's presentation, I has thinkings back to my wonderful Dragon Warrior on the NES. The visual and sound design have a lot of style present within, and this does make the already strong story even more enjoyable and immersive. The gameplay that's present also does a nice job of keeping you feeling invested, because it features solid turn-based combat with plenty of strategy elements and this did make each battle have a more rewarding feeling. In terms of problems the game has a few little quirks but thankfully none of these are overwhelming it's just little things like a lack of variety present in the side quests that really have no bearing on the main game. Legend of the Tetrarchs may not offer anything new that KEMCO hasn’t shown us before, but it doesn’t need to because it gets the most important aspects right in KEMCO fashion, and it delivers a fun story adventure that’s worth investing in to see the grand finale.
