Jun 7, 2021The ship battles were quite exciting and got me going and really into the adventure of being a pirate on the open seas. King of Seas can be a lot of fun if you give it the time to understand what you need to do and start to customize your ship. So if you like customizable RPG style games I absolutely recommend King of Seas for you.

May 25, 2021King of Seas is a satisfying pirate role-playing game, that while not too original, still manages to offer us a fun, unique and recognizable mix, especially thanks to its combat system finding the right middle ground between immediacy and depth.

Jul 6, 2021You can easily get by in this game with just sailing around, enjoying the wide open spaces and getting lulled into a meditative state, and every so often picking off an easy ship when you stumble across one. That may not be the point of the game, but it certainly made my experience a pretty good one. Does that mean I played King of Seas wrong? Probably. But I’ve always thought that one of the signs of a good game is that it allows you to play it your way — and there’s no denying King of Seas gives you freedom to do just that.

Jul 5, 2021King of Seas is an interesting proposal, with good gameplay but with a big problem in the conception of some missions.
-
May 31, 2021Overall and the combat and sailing mechanics of King of Seas are what work, and whilst things feel a little slow at times, that’s never too much bother. But the story and missions are sorely lacking and there never feels like there is much point in your actions; beyond the grinding.

May 26, 2021King of Seas looks great and has some fun ship-to-ship combat but is let down by its underwhelming exploration and basic story.
-
Jul 8, 2021King of Seas is solid, but unremarkable. Lacking the diversity of actions and depth of simulation required for something within its genre. For those craving a pirate game it will definitely entertain, but maybe not for very long.
