Empty and dull. Boring. Make me prefer to go working than playing video game.

This game lacks content compared to previous games, its completely different and there are bugs galore. There is very little destruction for a game based around it, and the new capture system feels empty and uninteresting. The entire game feels like it was just left this way because of sunk costs.
    DO NOT BUY.

I felt so cheated by this game, I decided to create an account and leave a review. Has got to be one of the most amateur games I’ve seen in a long time. Worthy of N64 era but has no place in modern gaming. Ugly, glitchy, tedious, lame…

Being a Just Cause 3 fan, I was excited to get the 4th installment. What a disappointment. The only good things are the improvements to the grappling hook. But additional changes to the menu screens can start you off a bit slower because of a new things to learn. Overall this is a huge disappointment. I find it interested that just 2 days ago there were almost no positive reviews. Everyone gave this 0,1 or 2. Now there are plenty of 10s and 9 ratings. I'm guessing employees of Avalanche Studios or Square Enix purhaps. Game has potential, but don't buy it now, wait 6 months for the price to go down and hopefully more content. I got in on sale for $42 on xbox live. This is at best a $30 game in it's current state. That's being generous. Expand

This game is real scam. Masterminds of Square/Avalanche are trying to sell you product that is currently in Alpha state, because they need to catch some sales during the Christmas time.
If you wonder why there are only PC and no console reviews day after the game is out, i'll tell you- it's awful on consoles - low res textures, 720p ps2-era cinematics, lot's of pop-in textures. Square

Square doesn't even allow to critics talk about technical issues or post any cinematics of the game, cuz they are completely broken.

    Stay away from this!

The game as it currently sits is unplayable. I attempted to get through the tutorial however the motion blur made me physically ill and I got very sick as a result. Until the issue of motion blur is fixed this is a do not buy.

No spoilers here, just disappointment...This game could have been so much, instead it's a merciless cash grab of the worst kind. Please feel free to check out a full review at Levelskip here.

I played Just Cause 2 once. I was surprised it was better than Just Cause 3. It's better than JC4, too. Don't waste your money! Its not just in the details. Some would say that boats not producing wake (that's not even the worst of the water) is bad. But compared to everything else this 'game' has to offer, it's nothing. I would DEFINITELY buy something different. I wish I bought GTA:SA.

What to say, it's better than fallout 76 but a lot worse than just cause 3. I didn't play it for long and that's because I just didn't like it even though I wanted to like it so much. Your targets are not that obvious and I found no way of getting ammo for your gun instead I kept having to change to whatever gun the last enemy was using. Just Cause feels like a copy of a copy of a GTA game. It just doesn't gel together and becomes worse the more you play it.

Pros: * The sky color and weather effects look quite cool. * Skydiving could is a chill and beautiful thing to do. * There are some meta jokes written for Garland's missions. (Seems the missions themselves are quite a rip-off from Forza Horizon, though). * Mira

    Cons:
    * Controls are awful. 20 hours in I was still not able to consistency use the grapple hook.
    * Physics are awful. That almost breaks driving missions as handling is no fun there.
    * Missions are highly repetitive. Enemy's AI is dumb, with god-like precision for shots in harder missions.

If you enjoyed Just Cause 2 or Just Cause 3 don't buy this game. Just Cause 4 is beautiful. The game play was boring and repetitive without the incredible joy of Just Cause's typical explosions and gun fights. Square Enix knew how much so many of us enjoyed Just Cause 2 and Just Cause 3 so they spent as little as possible on the gameplay mechanics. Buying this game is waste of time and money.

Look at Just Cause 3. Name me one thing that has improved over that game. Oh wait, nothing. It's not the worst game in the world, it's just one of the biggest scams in gaming history, just like Battlefield 5.

The story of Just Cause 3 doesn't continue, which is a big mistake. If you want to waste your time play this game. Because of the easy missions, the boring games and empty open world with no ideas.

I really wanted to like this game. The premise is fun everything, except the game absolutely will not allow the keybindings to be adjusted, and I am a player who cannot play with inverted controls. It makes no sense for a modern game to lock keybindings. For me, it makes an otherwise good game unplayable.

Whether it is fatigue or poor implementation, Just Cause 4 doesn’t feel like a true sequel. The issues I had with the third game have been fixed, but I still fell off this game much faster than I had anticipated. I adored the second game, dealt with the third one, but this fourth entry just lost its appeal far too quickly. It might be time to rethink and restructure the series, or perhaps move on to a new idea.

Just Cause 4 keeps on with the series' tradition of over-the-top explosive action, thanks to an even more refined physics engine and lots of new tools at Rico's disposal. Unluckily, though, it fails on propelling the series to higher grounds, mainly due to a very repetitive mission structure, bad AI and a predictable plot.
