This is either the type of game you love or the type of game you hate, if you’ve played any of the dragonball Z 3D fighters throughout the years. Then you know what to expect. Then you know what to expect. Let’s just say this isn’t the most balanced fighter out there as a lot of these licensed anime games seem to be more fan service then anything else. They aren’t deep but that’s what makes them so fun as it’s pretty pick up and play. You can mash your buttons and the game makes you look stellar like your some kinda fighting game pro. Don’t get me wrong though. Sure you can spam a lot of moves over and over and win like that but if you try that against a pro. You’ll get wrecked in a heartbeat. Mind nobody plays fighting games like these competitively. It’s all about using your favorite anime characters and getting to play as them. When I first tried jump force. I really thought it was all graphics and no real gameplay. Sure the games pretty and runs great. But the gameplay has to be decent and fun. The good news is...it’s a blast. The only minus I can give this game is that’s it’s not very hard to learn everything in the first few hours. The combos and the battle system is barebones as it gets but that’s ok though because I have a little boy that thinks this game is insane and fun and doesn’t take a lot to learn it’s ways.

Long story short. If you love the anime universe and the more popular characters from the shows and books. Then you may want to try this game because I’d say you’ll get enjoyment out of it. I’m not a fanboy and could care less about the anime or manga universe and I still have a riot playing this game. If your looking for gameplay like Tekken or street fighter. Don’t get this game. It won’t be deep enough for you. But there’s like 3 or 4 other games on the Xbox and Sony systems that is pretty much the same fighting system as this one so if you enjoyed those ones. Then buy this because really fun.

Game is awesome. There seems to be an agenda to give this game low reviews. Some are as stupid because of "lack of female selectable characters" lol?

Anyways if you love fast past fighting games that keep you on the edge of your seat and you have split seconds to choose your method of attack this is for you.

I think other fight fans dont like it because its not a game where you learn a combo and go in a match with it premeditated knowing it works against 90% of your opponents because you have more hours into the game practicing it. You literally haved to adapt to every match and every opponent within split seconds to be victorious.Matches are pretty intense and there is always a comeback factor even if you are down a round.

I dont think some of the old heads can wrap their head around this.

Anyways dont listen to these powerhouse sites giving it a bad reviews its a fun fast paced intense game.

Story Mode was ok at best, but the gameplay and servers are almost perfect. This game is a major improvement for J-Stars and you should buy it if you enjoy Shonen anime

People just hate the game because they got their expectations all lined up to astronomical and unreachable levels. Then when those expectations are obviously not met, it's somehow the developer or the game's fault.

This game hit every note it needed to, to be exactly what I expected it to be... and guess what? I love it.
I also don't sit here trying to play games with a Frame-per-second or optimization plug stuck in my body somewhere the sun doesn't shine. I'm also not a thirsty virgin wanting to stare at anime females.

I'm a married nerd who loves anime & manga, and plays games with a smile on my face when they're made with love and fun. Jump Force is absolutely that.

The cut scenes play out like a first class Manga. The animations aren't lacking in the slightest, The cut scenes are supposed to be non animated manga panels. They are. The fights everyone wanted in cut scene form? You play those. Those are the story marks that you get to hands on control. If you didn't expect or understand this I could see why you might hate the game. But it's still not the game's fault. It's yours. Fix yourself.

I love this game. You should too. I hope the next one they do less competitive style and more co-operative like Xenoverse.

Jump Force celebrates 50 years of Shonen Jump with an overall rushed game that could have been so much more.

Jump Force somehow only achieves mediocrity at best despite the star power found on its roster and the potential that comes with that cast. The characters are indeed faithfully recreated, stylish abilities and all, but nothing feels seamless. From the horrible cutscenes and choppy combat animations to the struggling frame rate, everything feels cut together haphazardly. Jump Force looks like an excellent idea on paper as a crossover containing over 40 characters from various Shonen Jump series, but in practice, the vision falls flat due to a serious lack of polish.
