GRID the series is fairly new to me. Despite this though, I did have a lot of interest in the new GRID game because after doing some research it looked liked this game was going for both simulation and arcade style racing which is something that excited me almost immediately. Excitement is what this game delivers as well but I would recommend that you play it in short bursts only becauseGRID the series is fairly new to me. Despite this though, I did have a lot of interest in the new GRID game because after doing some research it looked liked this game was going for both simulation and arcade style racing which is something that excited me almost immediately. Excitement is what this game delivers as well but I would recommend that you play it in short bursts only because if you play it for long periods you will find quite a bit of repetitiveness because unlike other similar games there isn’t lots of varied content for you to work through. This doesn’t mean though that the game is bad and I’m sure fans of these types of games will definitely get something from GRID. It holds up really well actually and whilst racing in this game doesn’t always feel as realistic as it should it still remains fun for the most part. The AI for me also further enhanced the fun factor because they do things that you would expect them to do and this doesn’t change throughout your time with the game. Anybody can race as well because you can chop and change things to your heart’s content so if you want to be challenged then you can be but if you’re one of those who likes an easier time of things then you can also do that as well. As mentioned earlier there isn’t a huge amount of content at your disposal but is the content that is available fun and exciting? Well... Yes and no. On the one hand I felt that the career mode was pretty decent and with a nice amount of variety included this is definitely where I’ve spent most of my time when playing GRID. Unfortunately though I’ve found the online components in the game to be a little disappointing because there just isn’t enough to keep you occupied and for some reason it just fails to pack a punch when racing online. This is a shame as well because a lot of these types of games are ranked on their online capabilities but if I had to give a sole recommendation on online alone then GRID just wouldn’t cut it. I will say though that despite my issues with the online components they did at least hold up really well with no issues getting into races or staying in them. How is the presentation in the game and have the tracks and cars been done well?

Let me get this out of the way immediately it isn’t the best looking and sounding racing game you’ll ever see. In fact it probably isn’t in the top 5 but that isn’t too much of an issue because it still looks good with enough realism present when it comes to the different sounds a racing car makes. Speaking about the cars there’s a nice selection to choose from and you can definitely tell that a lot of thought and effort has gone into them so trying each car out is worthwhile. Trying out each track is worthwhile as well because they are very realistic and with the added bonus of a nice amount of atmosphere within them racing around them hardly ever gets dull. GRID is a decent addition into the racing genre because it gets the most important aspects right without being too spectacular in their approach. Yes it isn’t the best racing game of all time and it does have its limitations but if you’re one of those people who favours the arcade style when it comes to racing then you can do far worse than this game. Just don’t expect too much from the online components and you’ll be just fine.

The worst GRID game ever played. Cars are floating on the road. Worse than many other arcade games. worse than the origin of Grid and Grid 2

Sorry Codi, this one disappointed me. The handing model is different in a good way, the racing action is great, and the nemesis system is a neat idea. However, I can't help but feel disappointed by the lack of features compared to previous games in the Grid series. Because of this, I feel that I did not get my $80 worth (yes, I bought the ultimate edition), and this is probably the mostSorry Codi, this one disappointed me. I hope that the upcoming DLC will help flesh out the game more, but as it stands, GRID 2019 does not live up to the hype. Expand

As a game, GRID does manage to at least challenge it's competitors with a solid, intriguing career mode and a decent enough car list (although more would benefit the game) However, compared to other GRID titles, it seems to lack much character and individuality. It's not exactly revolutionary in the current gaming world. I'm not just talking about graphics, but also the handling and overall physics model is rather peculiar on the higher tier cars.

Sure, the track list is also decent, but if you want a track racer, preferably pick up either Forza Motorsport 6/7, or if you want maximum realsim, Project Cars 2. Both these games are older, but have a better physics model, wider car variety and tracks. And for a game like this, those are important factors.

Boring, there shouldn't be so many cars at once on most tracks since it makes driving awful and cramped.

Pretty good graphics, 60 FPS on XsX and not bad driving. Perfect for Xbox Game Pass.

Good game, good graphics. Grid needs more tracks, a better adjustable FOV, an offline custom championship mode and a less agressive AI. Cars slide a little to much. I Hope a Grid 2021 with theses improvements.

If you loved Grid 1/2 then your going to hate Grid 2019

The layout is squashed and unflattering. The events are basically non existent you race a 3 lap race around different tracks and mostly the same cars. the steering wants to be grid 1 and 2 but feels less like it and more like NFS HP 2010 Remastered The tracks feel the same visually every track feels like its been driven on

Unless its on sale or you have EA Access i would steer clear of this

Not the best racing game going around in 2021 but it does deliver on the ridge racer driving games of yesteryear , great side ways action around corners. My main complaint would be that when you make contact with another car its like its made with concrete , but when you get bumped its like you are made of a tin can.

Saw this on gamepass and wanted to give it a try as never played a grid game before. Controls were not easy and had to lower my difficulty a bit. Average gameplay.

It's not often a racing game comes along and hits the sweet spot between simulation and arcade, and yet that is exactly the balance that the developer haσ hit with GRID. Fantastic, speedy chaotic, gameplay, supported by some great visual and sound design, giving racing fans of all levels and abilities another great title this year worth diving into with gusto. Totally recommended to genre aficionados, especially after the inevitable split-screen update.

It does a lot of things very well, but it’s hard not to feel like it’s missing a spark, a wow factor or some sort of true personality. As it stands, I don’t see it being something that people will continually go back to, despite its quality mechanics and beautiful visuals. It’s simply a bit too sterile. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t fun while it lasts, though, or that it isn't rather well made.

Grid is a decent reboot. Sure, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that some may expect and the number of tracks are a bit lackluster, but what it is missing is made up for with great handling cars and a fun race gameplay. People looking for a good racer have found one here even with the issues it may have.
