The game is pretty good for what it tries to do: a first-person platformer. However it is in essence an one-trick pony so it is extremely subjective if you're gonna like it. It immediately throws you into its simple action which will be obviously loved by many but for the rest of us the game can feel like an unnecessary chore.

Game has an amazing gameplay and feel of flow, super cool cyberpunk setting, quite interesting story and even some good puzzles.
BUT there is a huge issue with this game. It's nearly unplayable due to its bugs. I've encountered one bugs that won't let me complete the game at all. It was on level 5, where vents just won't turn on. I tried to reboot game, replay level, reinstall game,

BUT there is a huge issue with this game. It's nearly unplayable due to its bugs. I've encountered one bugs that won't let me complete the game at all. It was on level 5, where vents just won't turn on. I tried to reboot game, replay level, reinstall game, nothing helped, so I bought it on PC, where I encountered another bug. One enemy just disappeared and I wasn't able to open door because of it, but this time I was able to fix it by restarting level.
AND not only that, there are a lot of visual bugs on Xbox One X, like not loading textures, rainbow lines on edges of screen, some strange lights on screen, random changes of level lighting to green and blue.
I do not recommend to play this game until bugs will be resolved (if they will at all).

Ghostrunner, on one hand its a masterful creation full of intense and unforgiving fast paced parkouring and stylishly brutal katana action. On the other, its a broken, ugly and poorly ported console version of a far superior PC version. If only the game looked and ran nearly as well on XB1X, maybe then it would have impressed me more. Its still a fairly short and linear game with kindaGhostrunner, on one hand its a masterful creation full of intense and unforgiving fast paced parkouring and stylishly brutal katana action. On the other, its a broken, ugly and poorly ported console version of a far superior PC version. If only the game looked and ran nearly as well on XB1X, maybe then it would have impressed me more. Its still a fairly short and linear game with kinda barebones story but it has an amazing sense of style and flair, responsive inputs, superb controls and some sick electronic dubstep music. Perfect game for speed runners. Once mastered you will be effortlessly flowing your way through wall running, jumping, dodging and slaying enemies. Satisfying combat, extreme difficulty that is let down by the god awful console versions that not even a rumored patch could fix. Watch my full review here: https://youtu.be/OU3xX0c01Yw Expand

Ghostrunner makes us run and jump at high speed in a cyberpunk city, while avoiding enemy bullets and delivering mortal blows with our katana. It's got great environments and a satisfying overall design, but it fails in delivering the precision in movements and jumps this kind of game would need, ending up in a sometimes frustrating experience. Except for this, it's definitely a fascinating game.

Ghostrunner is a game of pain and suffering. Repetition sets in. It never deterred me from hitting continue though. This marks a nice balance of forcing players to master their combat, while also intriguing them to keep going. I absolutely had a blast and cannot wait to see the upgrades on next-gen consoles. This is not a game to sleep on, just be aware it may cause nightmares.

The blistering fast-paced action of Ghostrunner will almost certainly appeal to gamers looking for a fresh take on the first person platformer. However, the brutal difficulty can make sticking with it after dozens of deaths a tough pill to swallow.
