    Fantastic graphics, mechanics are great, choice of weapons is great, a lot of different weapons to choose from

    Everyone seems to love Gears 5, and I liked it pretty well overall. There is plenty of action like all Gears games. Lots of shooting aliens. They attempted some open areas in the game- which I really didn’t care for too much. I especially hated the “skiff” in the snow & desert. Every time I came back to get on it- it wouldn’t work! I had to reload my save & try again. Very annoying. SomeEveryone seems to love Gears 5, and I liked it pretty well overall. There is plenty of action like all Gears games. Lots of shooting aliens. They attempted some open areas in the game- which I really didn’t care for too much. I especially hated the “skiff” in the snow & desert. Every time I came back to get on it- it wouldn’t work! I had to reload my save & try again. Very annoying. Some of the chapters were very long & the game could have moved ahead at a quicker pace. Overall, I liked the game- but I’m not sure if I’d play it again. I really don’t see the campaign having much replay value.… Expand

    O jogo é bom porque saiu na game pass? Não, infelizmente a história é rasa, personagens sem carisma, resumindo, Gears vem perdendo sua essência desde o 3.

What makes a good game good is the story and its feeling in the style it represents, however in this game it is more shown that the game is great for its graphics and people don't seem to see the story doesn't really represent what it was made to be as, to show how the art of war is like (though yes this is typically war in gears 4 and 5 keep reading forward to see what I mean). They made the enemy come back with no explanations of how they came back and simply did what the original games NEVER did, shared secrets and made the story about just 1 person, also what are the odds that the grand daughter of the locust queen is with the son of the person that ended the war. It makes me sad to see the gears franchise to be changed when the ending it originally had was perfect. I've played the gears series ever since I was a child and never had criticized the games, so I'm hoping that this franchise will have a turn around and is ended where it should be ended this time.… Expand

    Other than the day one bugs and server issues this is hands down the best Gears since 2 and 3. The open world elements are kind of bare and there’s nothing really unique about it other than optional side quests which that too are bare for the most part. Act 2 is definitely stronger in its open world than Act 3. The graphics are incredible and one of the best looking games in the industry? The story is undeniably perfect as it ties in with Gears 2 and the history of the franchise. Playing as Kait makes it even more interesting. The multiplayer is great but new game modes such as Horde Escape are very lacklustre as don’t seem to add much to the experience. Horde is a lot more fun after a few major updates which is good to see There are microtransactions but new content becomes free after a week of release. Honestly wish they’d just make it all free or make multiplayer free to play. MTX are cosmetic only. This game deserves a GOTY nomination. It doesn't necessarily have to win the award but it deserves a nomination at the least.… Expand

    Amazing, a proper AAA game from Microsoft. Takes all that's good from gears 4 and ramps it up to 10.
    Probably the best graphic of this generation. A true return of the legendary franchise..

    As many people have already pointed out Gears 5 has a really good package of everything you could want from a Game of this genre. The graphics are gorgeous and more important the gameplay is even better than before, from fluid movements over the even more responsive cover system to the overvault Weapons (+the new ones).     They even went out of their way to fix the story part which wasn’t the strong site of the previous game (Gears 4). In gears 5 the story isn’t just good on its own but it really fits well in the overall Gears story. Another thing I want to mention is that they finally made the characters good, some of them still need some more details in their personality and a bit development but overall it is really good now.    … Expand

    I really wanted to like this game, I truly did. It starts out pretty great, but once I got to chapter 2 I just lost my desire to keep going. Came back a few months later to finish it after being spoiled by some **** on the internet and.. yep I see why I put it down for so long. The graphics are the best part of this game easily, but I think I still prefer Gears 4’s aesthetic compared to 5.I really wanted to like this game, I truly did. It starts out pretty great, but once I got to chapter 2 I just lost my desire to keep going. Came back a few months later to finish it after being spoiled by some **** on the internet and.. yep I see why I put it down for so long. The graphics are the best part of this game easily, but I think I still prefer Gears 4’s aesthetic compared to 5. But I really can’t praise much else here. It’s a serviceable shooter, the minor changes they made to combat somehow turned me off from the shooting here. But when most enemies are bullet sponges, you just kinda brainlessly shoot until they explode. Really not engaging gameplay here guys. The story is ok I guess? I feel like I need to play the trilogy still to get some of the deeper plot here but I don’t think that would help at this point lol. Kait’s story is interesting, but as a character I just don’t find her that interesting. Same with the rest of the cast honestly, aside from Marcus obviously. When he told Fahz to stfu, that was probably the best part of the game. Overall, I just really didn’t have fun with this entry. I don’t think I’d ever play it again honestly.… Expand

    Excelentes juego tiene todo pulido graficos Historia jugabilidad, la trama esta bien lograda los niveles son hermosos variados y espectaculares una experiencia muy recomenda .

    Gears 5 is meh 3rd person shooter. It's pretty fun for one play through but with no New Game Plus or any level up system carry over there no point playing again. Shows the 1 x technical prowess but at it's core is just a pretty bland shooter

    3 player co op is not true 3 player, fking random insta kill sequences, and skiffing is so fking stupid, otherwise gameplay is fine like solid 8/10 but I am so frustrated time to time for this game so 2/10 is total verdict

    Improves on everything from Gears of war 4. And the DLC'sare awsome, stunning to just roam around focosed on the story with awsome (as always) action and gameplay. The best Gears so far for me.

    Man this would have gotten a higher score had it of not been for all of the bugs. Campaign locked me out at least 7 times during crucial moments.

    Gears of Opinionated Alt-Chick" is not what fans of the series want. Get woke, go broke. If you want to be successful, you have to cater to the fanbase that brought you the success you had, instead of catering to SJW's who don't even buy your games. There is nothing cringier than being forced to play some feminist savior in a game that used to be about testosterone and war.

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
