    DE LA MANERA MÁS OBJETIVA POSIBLE:

    En el apartado técnico el juego logra algo que muchos otros quisieran, que es correr con un solido 4K y 60fps estables, lo cual de entrada ya lo posiciona por encima de la gran mayoría de juegos. Los detalles gráficos logrados (iluminación, texturas y acabados) resaltan de sobremanera ante un juego que -claramente- nos da una aproximación a lo que    DE LA MANERA MÁS OBJETIVA POSIBLE:

    En el apartado técnico el juego logra algo que muchos otros quisieran, que es correr con un solido 4K y 60fps estables, lo cual de entrada ya lo posiciona por encima de la gran mayoría de juegos.

    Los detalles gráficos logrados (iluminación, texturas y acabados) resaltan de sobremanera ante un juego que -claramente- nos da una aproximación a lo que será la nueva generación de consolas.

    En cuanto al rendimiento, resulta un verdadero logro conseguir una tasa de frames tan estable más aun tratándose de un juego de acción tan frenético y con tantos elementos en pantalla que interactuan a la vez. Esa solidez de rendimiento se agradece muchísimo, ya que genera que jamás se pierda el nivel de inmersión para un juego de éste género.

    En el apartado sonoro, el juego cumple con mantener un equilibrio de ritmo para cada parte del mismo. Gran fidelidad en detalles como las explosiones, el sonido particular de cada elemento o arma, y la inmersión en los momentos más frenéticos o de suspenso. Todo ello sin mencionar una calidad como la de Dolby Atmos que genera una experiencia de otro nivel.

    De otro lado, respecto al juego en sí mismo, Gears 5 logra superar con creces las expectativas generadas a partir de su predecesor (Gears of War 4). Esto se puede apreciar desde cada uno de los apartados en los que el juego nos introduce:

    En el modo campaña, no sólo nos encontramos con una historia sólida y que brinda muchas respuestas a interrogantes que la saga nos hizo plantearnos desde sus predecesoras. Todos coincidimos en que Gears of War 4 nos trató de introducir a una nuevo universo (resultado lógico luego de la primera trilogía), presentándonos personajes nuevos que no llegaron a conectar con los jugadores ni tampoco tuvieron el desarrollo que se esperaba. En esta ocasión, nos encontramos con una historia que nos presenta una profundidad en cada uno de los personajes, cada uno con objetivos y trasfondos que nos hacen empatizar o -por lo menos- entender cada uno de sus conflictos. Es una historia que logra lo que todos los fans extrañaban desde las primeras entregas y en ese sentido el juego cumple con lo que se pedía a gritos. Sin entrar en mayores detalles (para evitar spoilers) tenemos una historia sólida, envolvente, que nos trasporta desde los momentos de mayor adrenalina y desesperación hasta situaciones de suspenso y tensión extremos. Esta nueva propuesta ya no sólo nos exige avanzar disparando a diestra y siniestra, ahora la historia nos obliga a llevar una jugabilidad más rica en opciones (desde avanzar de manera frenética hasta evaluar la posibilidad de optar por el sigilo en los momentos de mayor suspenso). Esta variedad introducida se agradece mucho, ya que enriquece el juego de muchas maneras.

    Y ya que hablamos de jugabilidad, no se puede dejar de mencionar las nuevas propuestas y las innovaciones que el juego nos introduce. Las nuevas mecánicas de juego, tales como el árbol de habilidades de Jack, la propia opción de jugar con Jack o la campaña cooperativa de 3 jugadores de manera local son realmente grandes aportes a un juego que exigía nuevos aires para una nueva generación.

    Y si desde ya con todo lo mencionado podemos decir que Gears 5 nos ha dado una gran sorpresa como lo han hecho otros grandes juegos de este año (Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5 o Astral Chain por citar algunos), debemos tener en cuenta que Gears 5 va más allá, pues si tan sólo con el apartado técnico, la campaña, la jugabilidad y las innovaciones mostradas ya nos ubica ante un juego más que imponente y serio candidato a Juego del Año, debemos tener presente que Gears 5 sobresale sobre otros grandes juegos (como los que ya mencionamos) pues nos encontramos ante un juego que no se agota en su más que interesante Campaña, pues otro de los pilares en los que este juego destaca sobre otro grandes juegos que no cuentan con ello, es precisamente su increíble modo Multiplayer y el clásico modo Horda.

    Tanto en el modo de Enfrentamiento como en el modo Horda, The Coalition nos vuelve a sorprender con más innovaciones que avivan su ya muy reconocido modo Multiplayer. Nos encontramos con un modo Horda en el que se destacan nuevos aportes como los roles de cada personaje, situación que nos hará trabajar de manera más estratégica con nuestro equipo. Asimismo, dicha característica (habilidades únicas de personaje) nos lleva a un modo competitivo mucho más interesante que los modos que ya conocíamos. La introducción del modo Escape se agradece de gran manera y es una nueva opción para poder disfrutar de modo cooperativo hasta entre 3 jugadores. Finalmente, la introducción de nuevos personajes de otras franquicias representa el esfuerzo de los desarrolladores que no se puede dejar de mencionar.

    Impresionante campaña, destaca demasiado, es de los pocos juegos que se centra en tener una impresionante historia narrativa, y a la vez tener un excelente multijugador. Se lo recomiendo a todos, yo estoy disfrutando tanto en la one X, que disfrutarlo a 4k y 60 fps es maravilloso!!

    From graphics, to framerates to the amount of replay ability, this game is the whole package. It is the best Gears game to date and it looks like it will only get better as time goes on. The campaign is refreshing and impactful. The versus is as good as it has ever been. Horde is revved up to 11 and the new escape mode is well thought out and adds numerous ways to play. This is hands downFrom graphics, to framerates to the amount of replay ability, this game is the whole package. It is the best Gears game to date and it looks like it will only get better as time goes on. The campaign is refreshing and impactful. The versus is as good as it has ever been.     You get your moneys worth is understating. Big game experience. Play loud (Dolby Atmos) 4k 60. Multiplayer to keep you busy for years. Triple A game. They don't come often on any device so it's a no brainer if your a gamer! Enjoy!

    Gear 5 é tudo aquilo que o fã da franquia sempre esperou, um game completo com diversos modos online e uma história impactante no modo campanha, sem falar dos gráficos que estão maravilhosos ( arrisco a dizer que é o jogo mais lindo da geração) e a qualidade de áudio altíssima.

    All around great game! Great graphics. Story keeps you constantly thinking and involved. Multiplayer is silky smooth. Horde is improved and alot more fun. Escape is a pretty fun mode with buddies. Gears 5 is a complete upgrade from 4. Highly recommend.

    Simplesmente incrível. A maneira como inicia o game é simplesmente fantástico. Jack agora consegue ter um carisma incrível como R2-D2 do Star wars. Explorar Gears 5 é uma das coisas mais deliciosas. É de longe o melhor Gears ja lançado.

    Jouant sur xbox one x c'est un des plus beaux jeux auquel j'ai pu jouer et dépasse de loin la concurrence.     Try with Game Pass before you buy, some things are much better (like the graphics and the new arcade mode) some things are worse and pretty bad (only campaign and versus mode for offline, besides you can't unlock anything offline).
    The in game store shouldn't exist in this full priced game $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    This game is by far the best gears game ever released. Its a huge evolution of the franchise whilst staying true to the core gears formula. The campaign is everything gears should've been along time ago, further expanding the gears universe with lots of lore and deeper intakes to the characters.     Hay poco que decir, 60fps a un nivel grafico que te deja asombrado, mejor juego de accion del 2019 hasta la fecha, super divertido y adictivo como todos los gears pero mas variado incluso que el gears 2. Un juego que NADIE que le gusten de verdad los videojuegos de accion y concretamente los TPS se querrà perder.... luego leo cosas absurdas de comparativas con otros juegos de laHay poco que decir, 60fps a un nivel grafico que te deja asombrado, mejor juego de accion del 2019 hasta la fecha, super divertido y adictivo como todos los gears pero mas variado incluso que el gears 2.     Gears 5 é muito bom. O jogo ganhou em dinâmica, mas sem fugir de suas raízes. Os gráficos estão soberbos, a campanha é muito boa e o multiplayer já mostrou ser muito eficiente e divertido. Estou jogando campanha em cooperativo local (que saudades disso) e estamos adorando. Ótimo trabalho.

    Pará mi gusto gear 5 es uno de los mejores gear que esta repleto de contenido, una campaña que comienza demostrando ser uno de los mejores si no el mejor shooter de la actual generación, que pierde un poco en los dos últimos capítulos pero que no deja de ser excelente y que con un modo scape y un modo horda totalmente divertidisimo termina    Vuelve una de las mejores franquicias!!
    Pará mi gusto gear 5 es uno de los mejores gear que esta repleto de contenido, una campaña que comienza demostrando ser uno de los mejores si no el mejor shooter de la actual generación, que pierde un poco en los dos últimos capítulos pero que no deja de ser excelente y que con un modo scape y un modo horda totalmente divertidisimo termina recompensando el 10, sobre el competitivo aún no logro jugar pero que si jugué en su día uno de la beta y es una pasada, gran fluidez y gráficos fenomenales una gran recomendación para los amantes de este género.    … Expand

    I wasn't expecting anything from this game, as I had enough with the Gears of War franchise. But this episode is clearly on a whole new, other level. Whether it is the graphics, the improved level design giving more freedom regarding how you want to approach your mission, along with the new game mechanics.
    The Online is improved too.

Kait herself, is tough, one of the guys, holds her own in conversation and the battlefield and makes a likeable even relatable main character. The story is ramped up above and beyond any Gears before with a high stakes Pilgrimage for Kait to find the origin of the Locusts. Her frequent dark possession and haunting overtones drive an emotional tense haste while building a shaky level of trust, fear and sympathy throughout.

    The Coalition finally delivers for themselves, us and even the Xbox platform, a full-bodied character story driven narrative, cinematically delivered and hitting all the right notes and peaks from fright to fight and devotion to desperation. Gears 5 story truly feels like the biggest movie, the most touching moments, laugh out loud comedic beats and an overall feeling of a huge blockbuster story with direction and attention to detail. You'll want to see each of the 4 acts through. Each one motivates you emotionally in mystery and intrigue. 9/10

    GAMEPLAY: 10

    Gears of War has never disappointed in tbe gameplay category. It literally defined the third person cover shooter genere, and for the past 10 years it's mostly been unchanged. Gears 5 was in desperate need of evolving to keep things fresh and The Coalition took the award winning formula of Gears combat and cranked it up with much more variety and unleashed the shooting mechanics to feel in my opinion like the best of any third person shooter you've ever played. Gunplay is tight, natural and hard hitting visually, physically at the controls and contextually as the world destructs and enemies stumble and rip to shreds on the wrong end of the bullets. You'll find yourself less often in cover and more on the move, taking the high ground, flanking and using a creative approach with many more gadgets and ways to dispatch enemies. This is partly in thanks to Jack a floating R2D2 like robot that doesn't just open doors and hack panes, the gameplay has been opened ⅓ with Jacks new passive and active abilities that make him like a commanded squad mate to help and buff you in what is meant to be single or two-player co-op. You can have a third friend play as Jack and with a dozen active abilities that evolve over the course of the campaign, you'll have plenty to do, even as Jack. That is where the gameplay has evolved far beyond any Gears before it.    … Expand

    This is by far the best gears in the franchise. Spectacular game that reinvented itself without losing its essence. The evolution of the narrative is noticeable, and I hope the coalition will always continue to innovate the franchise, keeping it on top as it deserves.

    One of the best Xbox games this generation. The story is compelling with beautiful visuals and stunning characters. The gameplay is silid and runs a silky smoove 4k 60fps on the Xbox One X, with only a few minor dips. A must play for any gamer.

    Excelente videojuego, lleno de mucha acción, los controles son muy responsables y se mejoró el daño y sonido de las armas, la historia en mi opinión es igual de increíble que la de Gears 2, el modo horda es muy distinto a lo visto anterior mente y las habilidades de cada personaje son únicas, el mejor videojuego del año 2019 GOTY

    Graficamente de lo mejor en la generacion. La historia de los nuevos (y viejos) gears aumenta mucho su nivel en el guion y en las personalidades de cada personaje.
    Añadiendo frescura a la saga con las nuevas opciones y modos de juego hacen a mi gusto el mejor juego de la Xbox One hasta el momento.

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
