    Muito boa campanha apenas teve um momento de escolha no final que achei desnecessário e sem sentido, ótima trilha sonora, ótimos gráficos, multiplayer esta legal porém tem muito poucos personagens, mas modo horda pra mim do gears of war 4 é melhor é o modo fuga é uma boa variação pra se divertir com os amigos.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have been playing Gears since the first one came out back in 2006 so I know what to pretty much expect of the game. I have nothing bad to say about the campaign, as always. Beautiful graphics, great storyline and above all the gameplay itself was smooth (Xbox One). Oh man, those graphics... I already said beautiful graphics but I have to repeat myself because that's how great they were. The facial animations, the weapons, even the voice acting was perfect. Music to my ears. I won't lie, I died, A LOT, but granted I played on insane as always, since I'm a bit insane myself. The game itself has a long campaign, which I love, took me about 31 hours. Who doesn't love a game with a long storyline? Spoiler alert, the ending was phenomenal. It's pretty much all of Gears in a nutshell. I was sitting like a moron in front of my screen with my jaw hanging to the floor. Just an amazing experience. Even though I have mostly positive things to say about GOW 5, of course it comes with its negatives. I can't say there's any game, at least for me that doesn't come with SOME downfalls. The biggest nuisance in this game for me was the crashing. The game froze up, a lot. I would have to resort to dropping a grenade on myself so I can pretty much die and restart from my last save in order to correct the issue. Let's talk multiplayer: Horde (YAY), versus mode or escape. Horde is even more badass then it's ever been. Since each player brings something different to the table, it just makes wave after wave more enjoyable and more intense. I'm ashamed to say I only reached save 38. As a veteran of the game, how dare I! But just comes to show how much they amped up the difficulty. Loved it! Now, when it comes to the matchmaking, it's 50/50 here. I don't believe the system always made the best matchmaking setups, due to the fact it was rarely balanced, at least in my experience. Given that though, it's by far the best multiplayer they've achieved yet. Entering the Escape maps which seemed to be highly unpredictable was a rush and the new Arcade versus was just beautiful chaos. I was constantly experiencing tachycardia while playing Arcade in the most amazing way ever. Kept me constantly on my tippy toes. Piece of advice to my fellow female gamer, don't play this in heels like I did at one point. Yes, I was playing in heels, and yes I stood up often due to my adrenaline and YES, I did fall once, maybe twice? Okay... maybe more than twice. Long story short, if you're a Gears fan from the beginning or you're just starting out the series for the first time, you will 100% enjoy about every aspect of the game. Everything from the amazing graphics, great storyline and smooth gameplay to the multiplayer modes and even those annoying little campers that hide in one spot during matchmaking that makes you want to pull your hair out or in my case use words I didn't know existed or throw a controller or two against the wall (and maybe one of my heels too, maybe...)… Expand

    A good mixture of feeling like the old gears while adding new features that don’t totally change up the core gameplay. I felt the gears 4 campaign was too campy for me and I actually went off gears because of it, however gears 5 delves straight back into the grit and the darkness that gears should be while maintaining the limb exploding satire.     this video game was beautiful. the game design very nice and well managed to make you immerse in various situations. the very beautiful story, however, presents some moments of death. precisely for this small defect the game does not take 100 but I very willingly give it a 90.

    A truly engrossing campaign and gorgeous graphics make this a must-buy for fans of the Gears franchise. The only thing keeping it from a 10/10 are the constant issues with online connectivity, particularly when the developers offer time-sensitive XP boosts that are wasted due to disconnections and server problems that can last for hours.

    El mejor Gears a la fecha, épico e impresionante. La jugabilidad es la clásica con algunas mejoras para mantenernos entretenidos pero conservando su escencia. Las partes de mapa abierto son una bocanada de aire fresco y a nivel técnico es espectacular en Xbox One X corriendo la campaña a 4k y 60fps.

    sin lugar a dudas este es uno de los mejores juegos de la saga y uno de los mejores del año, gear 5 es un aire fresco a la saga y un titulo muy recomendado para todos los jugadores que quieran disfrutar de un buen juego de acción.

    Quizas el videojuego que mejor explota a esta generacion de consolas, con eso esta todo dicho. Buenos graficos, buena jugabilidad, buen surtido de armas, recursos bastante justos e incluso a veces escasos provocando mayor dificultad. Quizas lo mas decepcionante el boss final, para mi gusto demasiado sencillo comparado con los del resto del juego. Muy recomendable.

    Fan de gears 5, je trouve tous les modes de jeu réussis. La campagne m'a beaucoup plus notamment par le lien qu'elle fait avec des éléments de la première trilogie.

    O melhor da série pra mim. Grandiosos momentos da história, jogo leve e bem otimizado. Só senti falta de um mapa um pouco maior e mais locais para explorar, mas para um jogo que saiu do linear para um mapa quase aberto, ja está ótimo.

    After roughly 10 hours I completed the Story and didnt expect such a good campaign. It was different in its gameplay parts, you get a lot of shooting but also more silent parts and for the most important u have a lot of fun with the gameplay/graphics and characters. I would highly recommend this game, also if u just want to play the story. Besides    This is an epic package of Gears.

    Muy sorprendido después de haber jugado el 4 (que fue un a menos de la franquicia). Esta quinta parte retoma muchísimo de la anterior trilogía, espectacularidad, buenos gráficos, guión a la altura (con una gran narrativa), ritmo frenético, grandes combates y una jugabilidad muy depurada, la verdad es que si The Coallition sigue por este camino le esperan muy buenas entregas a laMuy sorprendido después de haber jugado el 4 (que fue un a menos de la franquicia). Esta quinta parte retoma muchísimo de la anterior trilogía, espectacularidad, buenos gráficos, guión a la altura (con una gran narrativa), ritmo frenético, grandes combates y una jugabilidad muy depurada, la verdad es que si The Coallition sigue por este camino le esperan muy buenas entregas a la franquicia. Solo por poner dos puntos negativos estos serian 1) IA mejorable, especialmente en los aliados que van bastante a lo CoD, están hay para dar vida al guión pero en combate solo sirven para estorbar y pronunciar frases o advertencias obvias y 2) el juego se queda a mitad de la historia, esto no es del todo malo en mi opinión porque al menos no es como la historia del 4, que básicamente no entiendes que fue lo que quisieron mostrar (casi nada), pero si te deja con muchas ganas de más al finalizar la campaña y un deseo un poco insatisfecho de terminar y dar un cierre. Un juego que en mi opinión esta a la altura del 3 pero todavía no llega al 2 por lo anteriormente mencionado.… Expand

I played this on an xbox one x and the game looks fantastic. The story is great and the action is relentless. It keeps building and building in momentum and never let's up.

It added new elements that worked even though the plot had some WTF moments, but all in all its a really enjoyable time if you have played previous entries. The multiplayer is where I see a lot of people getting mixed reviews about. Playing King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch can lead you to believe that the multiplayer isn't for you. IfGears 5's story was just amazing and so much fun.     A very good story, finally explained the locust origins which was done in a great way.
    The rest is pretty good, better than gears 4, but it was too short, not even 5 acts. Graphics, sound, music is great, the gameplay I feel a bit slow than previous gears. The multiplayer, well as good as others, fun for a bit or with friends.

    I have my problems with the story and how they handled a certain characters development coming of Gears of War 4, but the world and gameplay of Gears 5 is amazing. Also Kait has easily become one of my favorite female gaming protags and protags in general, she is very likeable and can cary her own franchise

    Después de haber salido la operacion 4 me parece que el multijugador de el juego a mejorado mucho ahora es excelente y casi perfecta por otro lado la campaña no es la mejor de la saga pero en general es buena bastante entretenida y en ningun momento de aburre, puedieron haber echo las partes de mundo abierto con mas cosas pero creo que en general es un aire fresco a la saga.

    Me encantó la historia, si bien empezá algo lento la verdad es que termina siendo súper entretenida y muy completa, no le doy el 10 porque el mundo abierto desde mi punto de vista no le cae tan bien a la saga gears, aún así lo recomiendo altamente!

    As many people have already pointed out Gears 5 has a really good package of everything you could want from a Game of this genre. The graphics are gorgeous and more important the gameplay is even better than before, from fluid movements over the even more responsive cover system to the overvault Weapons (+the new ones).     Great game. Graphics is AWESOME. One of the best I have seen on XSX! Game ishighly playable and enjoyable as well. However, after 3rd act is quite repetetive. Other pros: you can play with your friends online or locally. BUY IT!

    Gears 5 was better than I thought it would be. Different protagonist for most of the game but with a really good backstory. JD was a different man and way better than he was in part 4 as a character.

    Melhor Gears que joguei. A Kait simplesemente perfeita como protagonista e o fato do JD estar fora do jogo pela maior parte do tempo é um ótimo ponto positivo. Fahz e Kait formaram uma ótima dupla. Sem contar o cenário principal ser na neve e depois no deserto, achei fenomenal. DIficuldade equilibrada para difícil. Outro ponto bem foda é que o jogo é um semi mundo aberto, que da liberdadeMelhor Gears que joguei. A Kait simplesemente perfeita como protagonista e o fato do JD estar fora do jogo pela maior parte do tempo é um ótimo ponto positivo. Fahz e Kait formaram uma ótima dupla. Sem contar o cenário principal ser na neve e depois no deserto, achei fenomenal. DIficuldade equilibrada para difícil.     Para mim esse é o segundo melhor gears, história fantástica, gráficos lindos, gameplay maravilhosa. Só fica em segundo porque o felling de jogar gears of war 2 foi o melhor pra mim, mas gears 5 é fantástico não erra em nada.

    Add some pride flags and the stupid media eats it up. Hard to blame such pandering when it’s good for a few points to the score. Brilliant move by the developers. Taking advantage of pure ignorance.

    it was pretty good. The best graphics you can get on Xbox. Different from what I think of Gears as with the exploration. I wouldn't call it a fully realized idea but it's the best gears has been in years. If Gears 6 continues like this it could be something really special.

    = I didn't touch the multiplayer of the 5th game. The open world bit of the game makes up a large part of the game and this part of the game is just not as good, the game isn't really suited to been open world with it's stiff feeling controls and stiff camara. These parts of the game just have bad pacing. The snow area of the game isn't even very pretty to explore and exploration is a big part of what makes open worlds fun. The later open area in the desert is more intresting to look at and a big improvement. But riding the sled thing still feels a bit like a long loading screen between areas.    … Expand

    Great game, but nothing groundbreaking, and it's nowhere close to e.g. God of War, despite the obvious inspiration.

    The graphics are truly amazing on the XB 1X (4K 60 FPS and HDR).

    Considering it's available on game pass, I think this is easily a must play for anyone liking action games.

    This game can easily be described as an experience. The game looks and plays incredibly (4k 60fps & HDR) the sound is amazing (Dolby Atmos option included) & it plays smooth. Plus, its on game pass! I recommend it, its really good. Best thing is if you have doubts just use gamepass and play it!

    Everyone seems to love Gears 5, and I liked it pretty well overall. There is plenty of action like all Gears games. Lots of shooting aliens. They attempted some open areas in the game- which I really didn’t care for too much. I especially hated the “skiff” in the snow & desert. Every time I came back to get on it- it wouldn’t work! I had to reload my save & try again. Very annoying. SomeEveryone seems to love Gears 5, and I liked it pretty well overall. There is plenty of action like all Gears games. Lots of shooting aliens. They attempted some open areas in the game- which I really didn’t care for too much. I especially hated the “skiff” in the snow & desert. Every time I came back to get on it- it wouldn’t work! I had to reload my save & try again. Very annoying. Some of the chapters were very long & the game could have moved ahead at a quicker pace.     Jugablemente sigue siendo muy similar al 4, y eso me chirría un poco, se hecha de menos ese sonido pesado de las armas y la brutalidad y escala de la trilogía original. After years of letdowns and mediocre games or broken games that take years to be good such as Halo MCC, Gears 5 brings an original story and fresh life into the market. I played on the Xbox One S and a PC with a 1050 ti. It ran fantastically on PC with a smooth, near-constant 60 fps on high however it is frame capped to 30Gears 5 is one of if not the best original game for the Xbox One. After years of letdowns and mediocre games or broken games that take years to be good such as Halo MCC, Gears 5 brings an original story and fresh life into the market. The game is standard Gears gameplay but still manages to be fun. With a friend, it is even better as you can flank or be in two separate areas whereas the AI will only follow you. The weapons are unique and most are fun to use. The story is strong for most the time but it builds up only to climax in a very short manner which is annoying sequel bait. It is a fun game and is worth a play and is free on Gamepass which is awesome.… Expand

    Gears 5 by The Coalition leaves the all-too-linear script to be a thing of the past, in pursuit of a rediscovered self. All, on the altar of a plot as such, that mandatorily requires the use of elements that you usually come across in the open-world and role-playing genres.

    I am not much of a FPS player - I find them repetitive. But Gears 5 was on Gamepass so I played through the campaign and really enjoyed it. I think it took me about 15 hours.

It provides a nice challenge,Gears 5 plays like a bigger version of Gears of War 4. But it is less impressive due to the lack of innovation. Yes, the gameplay is fun and the graphics are fantastic. However, very little has changed since the series made its debut back in 2006. In addition to the story mode, this sequel includes Horde, Multiplayer and Escape; a cooperative survival mode. It provides a nice challenge, but isn't as addicting as Horde. The open world levels are comparable to the chapter in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy in which you could explore and discover optional missions. Overall, this "Gears" entry is a satisfying one, but its new additions don't change the game much. This is just more of the same. I would rate it with an 8.3 out of 10.… Expand

    Gears 5 really impressed me in a good way; i didn't expect it to be like that. It's completly different to the previous games of the franchise but doesn't lose the essence of the saga, what is great. This time, most of the game experience unfolds in differents open areas where we'll have to complete locations we can find trough the map to continue with the main story.     We can still find loads of actions and heart stopping moments that we were used to see in this games, what makes it addictive and fun to play. However all this joy is a bit short due to the lenght of the campaing; the online and survival mode are entertaining, but not the main reason to play this game by far. I also missed new weapons...     Very good evolution from previous gears games with a big plus of 60fps and amazing visuals on main campaing, new little RPG elements this game is a must have/play for all xbox one owners.

    This game gives enjoyable time for player. Story mode is really joyful, and the game inscribe curious future for further developments event though short game time. However, I cannot say that, multiplayer mode has lots of different modes, so the creators have to focus on multiplayer in order to expand playable facilities for fans of GoW.

You now play as Ms. Bland and uninteresting, a self involved, millennial college student with mommy issues. And in the most unique and non-lazy way of setting a story in motion she’s been having dreams that are telling her to go do a thing in a place so the plot can happen. But don’t worry she’ll be accompanied by Mr. Bland and uninteresting (no relation), to talk about herself at.

    Somewhat annoyingly you start the game as JD Fenix. Marcus Fenix’s bland and uninteresting offspring from Gears 4. Only in the intro act he’s given some genuinely interesting development. Clearly living in his father shadow he’s desperately trying to prove himself. Even when unnecessary. This comes to a head when JD puts his own life at risk in order to save the lives of others. Only this ultimately backfires, Now physically and emotionally scarred from the decisions he made that day he has to learn to live with the consequences. The actions he took that day saved lives, but also inadvertently ended them. How is he going to move forward, how will he grow as a person. How will he reconcile with loved ones after that pain he has caused. Can he see the positive he has done, or will the darkness slowly eat away at him until he is nothin…

    Ah, all that can wait, Kait’s got a Mcguffin and a dream and in her own words “This isn’t about you, It’s about me”. Who needs an emotional hook for story telling when you can have spooky visions. Forget you and your emotional trauma, your inner conflict, your moral ambiguity that you struggle to reconcile with on a daily basis. That’s not interesting, I’m bloody sad god damn it, it’s all about me, not you.

    It’s strange. In an attempt to tell a more personal story they’ve done away with all the fun, over the top character moments that made the original trilogy such a joy to play. And yet nothing here comes anywhere near as emotionally impactful as Dom finding his wife in Gears 2. The only reason I can think of is that fact that it’s so incredibly hard care one iota about these new characters.

    But I suppose ultimately what I’m trying to say is… Pew pew fun.    … Expand

    A ver ya va 1 mes de que salio, ya soy General en el Tour of Duty completándolo sin gastar hierro, con puro desafió diario y completando todas las medallas. El juego es muy bueno pero a la ves es malo. La campaña es buena, no la mejor pero vale la pena, horda y escape son entretenidos, el multijugador es entretenido, pero lo malo son varias cosas. 1st: los malos servidores que te sacan yA ver ya va 1 mes de que salio, ya soy General en el Tour of Duty completándolo sin gastar hierro, con puro desafió diario y completando todas las medallas. El juego es muy bueno pero a la ves es malo. La campaña es buena, no la mejor pero vale la pena, horda y escape son entretenidos, el multijugador es entretenido, pero lo malo son varias cosas. 1st: los malos servidores que te sacan y hay ping alto (Tengo buen Internet) y entre otros fallos , 2nd: Las muertes sin sentido, no se sabe que es pero te matan sin que tu personaje aparezca en su punto de mira,muertes muy tontas, se dice que lo pusieron así para los nuevos players para que no se frustraran y les gustara el juego. 3rd: La tienda es cara, soy mexicano y económicamente estoy muy bien pero para un skin de personaje $200? Yo les recomiendo que lo compren como la mayoría con el game pass te viene la edición ultimate a solo $20, la verdad es muy buen juego solo espero que arreglen varias cosas y que metan mas contenido, tienen muy pocos personajes y ni hablar de los mapas, ya aburren.… Expand

    Terminado, se me hizo algo corto pero ese último capítulo estuvo de maravilla.
    En general estuvo divertido, buenas mecánicas (sobre todo usando a Jack), tiene un par de mapas semiabiertos con varias misiones secundarias que te sirven para alargar el tiempo de juego.
    Como contras... algo que me molestó bastante fue la inteligencia artificial de los NPCs amigos, se me hicieron bastante    Terminado, se me hizo algo corto pero ese último capítulo estuvo de maravilla.
    En general estuvo divertido, buenas mecánicas (sobre todo usando a Jack), tiene un par de mapas semiabiertos con varias misiones secundarias que te sirven para alargar el tiempo de juego.

    Honest to God, I was just about to sell my Xbox, because the PS4 was just too good in itself (not mentioning the Game Pass, which in theory sounds great, but it just makes you have a huge library of unfinished games) - but this saved my console for another month or two. It looks great, it sounds great, it plays great and finally for the xbox one exclusives it has a story as well...

    The game looks and plays just like any other gears, nothing new. The gameplay is nice and smooth. The characters look really good but the game just feels bland. Horde is fun the multiplayer is chaotically fun. Finding matches seems to be a problem. I've had the application crash multiple times. the game is good but just doesn't bring anything new to the table.

    The Coalition did a great job on Gears 5. The graphics are worthy of the Xbox One X. Multiplayer modes especially the horde mode are always a joy.

    Ya he terminado el modo historia del Gears 5,mi nota del modo campaña es de 8,0,lo más destacable son los 60fps gráficamente esta un poco por encima de lo visto en la anterior entrega,los del semi mundo abierto,dejo mucho que decear,dijeron que se habían fijado en el de GOW,pero la realidad es que quedo muy lejos de lo visto en GOW en cuanto a semi mundo abierto,lo jugué en ONE X pero aúnYa he terminado el modo historia del Gears 5,mi nota del modo campaña es de 8,0,lo más destacable son los 60fps gráficamente esta un poco por encima de lo visto en la anterior entrega,los del semi mundo abierto,dejo mucho que decear,dijeron que se habían fijado en el de GOW,pero la realidad es que quedo muy lejos de lo visto en GOW en cuanto a semi mundo abierto,lo jugué en ONE X pero aún así no me libre de algunos fallos que no se si eran del juego o del Xbox live también se me congela el juego si salgo al menú de la consola,por lo demás no esta mal para ser un juego que se puede jugar a muy bajo costo con gamepass.… Expand

Gears 5 provide players with an engaging, albeit sometimes prolonged and tedious campaign, perfect gunplay, and a variety of game modes that may cater to a diverse set of gamers.

    Seeing that Gears 4's campaign concluded with a revelation surrounding Kait's    Personally, I believe that the talented developers of Gears 5, The Coalition, exhibits solid craftsmanship in game development. Gears 5 provide players with an engaging, albeit sometimes prolonged and tedious campaign, perfect gunplay, and a variety of game modes that may cater to a diverse set of gamers.

    Seeing that Gears 4's campaign concluded with a revelation surrounding Kait's relationship to the Locust, The Coalition made the correct choice of revolving Gears 5 around this character. As a result, being in Kait's shoes, experiencing her struggles, and enduring her journey was not only very personal to her but exuded a fascinating campaign for players. However, several concerns regarding the campaign's structure should be addressed. Indeed, the campaign showcases amazing moments but, there seems to be a lot of clutter that prolong the game and makes the overall experience tedious. For example, backtracking or completing several uninteresting objectives that isn't very integral to the story (much of this done over a open world setting). Furthermore, there was two pesky glitches. One was if you happened to have pressed the xbox guide button while the game decided to save, the character is locked and unable to move until you restart the game, losing all of your progress after the most recent checkpoint.

    The escape mode and Horde mode featured in these games can be quite fun with your friends; however, if you encounter a lobby of random players, you may experience a high occurrence of people quitting the game and leaving you to deal with the enemies that work as obstacles to victory. Escape, the newest mode, sees that your and your friends are intentionally kidnapped by snatchers and taken to their hive. You burst out of your pod and place a ticking time bomb that releases poison to the surrounding area and forces you to flee from the nauseous fumes. As you make your escape, you're confronted by a variety of enemies that attempt to slow and stop your progress from freedom. This is a fun and fresh idea. During each new round, the game throws a different combination of enemies at designated locations. Unfortunately, if you progressed through these same areas enough, the mode seems to grow a little repetitive. Therefore, additional difficulties and cards that can enhance the game may continue to keep things fresh but ultimately I would like to see additional maps that can add creativity to your escape. Moving on to the Horde mode, I believe that players may already be familiar with it due to its previous incarnations in older titles. Thus, too much time shouldn't be used to critic this mode. As before, have your buddies, fortify your positions, and watch out for the matriarch.

    I believe the last mode is multiplayer. I've played older iterations of the multiplayer but didnt get a chance to touch the one for Gears 5.

    Overall, I would give this game a 8/10. The campaign is solid but may feel a tad bit tedious. The Horde and Escape can be enjoyable with the right crew. So pick this one up. Its smooth, the gunplay is enjoyable, and the visuals are attractive.    … Expand

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

    Gears 5 offers a solid portion of brutal action with several refreshing new things. If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
