Galaxy of Pen and Paper +1 Edition is an RPG Satire game about playing a space-themed RPG. Yes, this is a game about playing a game. Set inGalaxy of Pen and Paper +1 Edition is an RPG Satire game about playing a space-themed RPG. Yes, this is a game about playing a game. Set in 1999, you create a Game Master (GM) and two players, and their characters. You play as Both the GM and the party, as you adventure the galaxy. Galaxy of Pen and Paper was, unfortunately, a mess when it was first released, but the updates that make it +1 Edition, are all-inclusive bug fixes and content upgrades already part of the game for the Xbox One. The game is loaded with Sci-Fi and Role-Playing jokes and picks fun at the genre and itself. You start the game by making a GM and then choosing two players from 12 personalities and their characters from a small pool of races and classes. Then you embark on your quest. The storyline is fairly generic, that in itself picking on the standard misconceptions of Game Masters. The Game even has the GM's Mom bust into the room asking if anything is needed from the store, then asking about the GM's "Strange Getup". Gameplay is a mix of making encounters and quests and playing them out in a turn-based fashion. The backgrounds are loaded with references from all of the Sci-Fi world from Anime to Videogames. If you were a fan of Knights of Pen and Paper, then this game is a perfect addition to your library. If you enjoy Tabletop gaming, it will at least be a chuckle fest as you roll your eyes at the satire about Tabletop gamers. Expand
