Frostpunk is another incredible title from 11 Bit Studios, and an utter triumph for the genre. It’s an incredibly unique and engaging deep dive into the bowels of the icy tundra, a textbook example of emotional storytelling through gameplay. If you can stomach it and face the cold, Frostpunk is an experience you will likely never forget.

Without skipping a beat from the original PC game, Frostpunk’s console port is a slick and efficient strategy game of misery and compromise in the coldest apocalypse. You could say it’s the cold standard in console strategy.

Evocative, atmospherically stunning, and endlessly addictive. Frostpunk is now the best strategy simulation game on Xbox One.

Survival demands progress. React to current events, but don’t forget about the long term and investing in development and technological progress. Providing a highly advanced infrastructure with self-powered automatons, airships and other technical wonders is difficult, but achievable.

While I may not be fit to rule the new world, I sure had a depressingly great time with Frostpunk. The difficulty will no doubt put people off – especially those going in blind – but persevere and there’s a deep, rewarding strategy title here that will get it’s hooks in, and drag you down with it.

Frostpunk is as hard and well crafted on consoles as it was when it was released on PC last year.

Frostpunk on consoles is as good as the PC version, and this definitely is a great news for everyone who loves strategy and survival games. Just don't expect it to be a regular city builder.

Frostpunk can be overhelming and would benefit from a longer tutorial, so it’s understandable if those new to the genre find it too tricky. But a well-conceived narrative and premise makes it worth picking up whether you’re new to the genre, or have years of city-building experience behind you.

Frostpunk is a unique Real-Time Strategy, Civics Simulation, set in a frozen apocalyptic wasteland. You are in command of the last vestige ofFrostpunk is a unique Real-Time Strategy, Civics Simulation, set in a frozen apocalyptic wasteland. You are in command of the last vestige of the Human race, and it's your job to lead them into a prosperous future, where they can rebuild, and survive the frozen hell that surrounds them. After finding an Intact furnace generator in a defensible crevasse, your people can have warmth and power, and it's time to rebuild. Manage the workflow and keep the morale of the people up, your every decision will add or remove Hope, and or Discontent. Be very careful with how hard you push your people because too much Discontent and they will toss you out to the cold. the Building revolves around the generator, literally. Your grid is a circular area that spans outward from the generator, and each building takes up a small slice of each circle. The game will also press you with moral dilemmas, each of which will be met with hope or discontent and sometimes a bit of both depending on your decisions. Will you incite child labour, how will you tend the sick, how will you take care of amputees? Frostpunk is a nails hard game and will press your strategic mind to its fringes. Frostpunk is an incredible strategy game, and I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys city-survival style games and best of all this amazing game is now available for your Xbox One! Full Review »

This game is just addicting! And the campaign is emotionally touching, with the ending as quite a climax.
